Abstract
In this paper, the magnetization dynamics of bilayer structured nano-pillars containing a fixed layer with perpendicular magnetic anisotropy (PMA) and a free layer with in-plane magnetic anisotropy (IMA) are studied using the micro-magnetic simulation method. Unlike typical sandwich-structured spin-torque nano-pillar oscillators (STNOs), the proposed structure does not contain any nonmagnetic spacer layer. It is found that a stable oscillation with a significant amplitude can be established fast after driving out the vortex core by an in-plane magnetic pulse field. The oscillation frequency and amplitude can be easily manipulated by adjusting the side-length of the nanopillar, the thickness and saturation magnetization of the IMA layer, and an applied magnetic field along z axis. In an array with an adequate inter-pillar distance, the mutual interaction between the nano-pillars will lead the oscillations to be phase-locked, resulting in a considerable enhancement of total amplitude. As it is easy to fabricate these kinds of bi-layer nano-pillars and assemble them in arrays, they may have widespread applications in STNOs.

Abstract
Increasing the length of silver nanowires (AgNWs) has been demonstrated as an effective measure to enhance their optoelectronic properties by reducing light attenuation. Herein, we report a unique modified polyol synthesis of AgNWs with average length as long as ∼270 μm in a high yield of ∼90%. The synthesis of ultralong AgNWs involves the employment of ascorbic acid in the polyol approach. The strong reducing action of ascorbic acid allows the reduction of silver precursors to occur at a relatively low temperature, wherein the lateral growth of AgNWs is restrained because of efficient surface passivation via the dual function of poly-vinylpyrrolidone and ascorbic acid. The photoelectric properties of the as-synthesized ∼270 μm AgNW film show a noteworthy transmittance of 92.61% with a low haze of 1.35% at a sheet resistance of ∼322 Ω sq-1. In addition, the AgNW film shows distinguished mechanical property and relatively high electrical stability. The breakthrough in the length confinement of AgNWs is a highly expected step to prepare AgNW films with excellent performance.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Few interspecies comparisons of alveolar bone have been documented, and this knowledge gap raises questions about which animal models most accurately represent human dental conditions or responses to surgical interventions. OBJECTIVES The objective of this study was to employ state-of-the-art quantitative metrics to directly assess and compare the structural and functional characteristics of alveolar bone among humans, mini pigs, rats, and mice. METHODS The same anatomic location (i.e., the posterior maxillae) was analyzed in all species via micro-computed tomographic imaging, followed by quantitative analyses, coupled with histology and immunohistochemistry. Bone remodeling was evaluated with alkaline phosphatase activity and tartrate-resistant acid phosphatase staining to identify osteoblast and osteoclast activities. In vivo fluorochrome labeling was used as a means to assess mineral apposition rates. RESULTS Collectively, these analyses demonstrated that bone volume differed among the species, while bone mineral density was equal. All species showed a similar density of alveolar osteocytes, with a highly conserved pattern of collagen organization. Collagen maturation was equal among mouse, rat, and mini pig. Bone remodeling was a shared feature among the species, with morphologically indistinguishable hemiosteonal appearances, osteocytic perilacunar remodeling, and similar mineral apposition rates in alveolar bone. CONCLUSIONS Our analyses demonstrated equivalencies among the 4 species in a plurality of the biological features of alveolar bone. Despite contradictory results from older studies, we found no evidence for the superiority of pig models over rodent models in representing human bone biology. KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER STATEMENT Animal models are extensively used to evaluate bone tissue engineering strategies, yet there are few state-of-the-art studies that rigorously compare and quantify the factors influencing selection of a given animal model. Consequently, there is an urgent need to assess preclinical animal models for their predictive value to dental research. Our article addresses this knowledge gap and, in doing so, provides a foundation for more effective standardization among animal models commonly used in dentistry.

Abstract
An angular analysis of the B^{0}→K^{*0}(→K^{+}π^{-})μ^{+}μ^{-} decay is presented using a dataset corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 4.7 fb^{-1} of pp collision data collected with the LHCb experiment. The full set of CP-averaged observables are determined in bins of the invariant mass squared of the dimuon system. Contamination from decays with the K^{+}π^{-} system in an S-wave configuration is taken into account. The tension seen between the previous LHCb results and the standard model predictions persists with the new data. The precise value of the significance of this tension depends on the choice of theory nuisance parameters.

Abstract
The Λ_{c}^{+}K^{-} mass spectrum is studied with a data sample of pp collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.6 fb^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment. Three Ξ_{c}^{0} states are observed with a large significance and their masses and natural widths are measured to be m[Ξ_{c}(2923)^{0}]=2923.04±0.25±0.20±0.14 MeV, Γ[Ξ_{c}(2923)^{0}]=7.1±0.8±1.8 MeV, m[Ξ_{c}(2939)^{0}]=2938.55±0.21±0.17±0.14 MeV, Γ[Ξ_{c}(2939)^{0}]=10.2±0.8±1.1 MeV, m[Ξ_{c}(2965)^{0}]=2964.88±0.26±0.14±0.14 MeV, Γ[Ξ_{c}(2965)^{0}]=14.1±0.9±1.3 MeV, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and due to the limited knowledge of the Λ_{c}^{+} mass. The Ξ_{c}(2923)^{0} and Ξ_{c}(2939)^{0} baryons are new states. The Ξ_{c}(2965)^{0} state is in the vicinity of the known Ξ_{c}(2970)^{0} baryon; however, their masses and natural widths differ significantly.

Abstract
Silver nanowire (AgNW) based transparent conductive films (TCFs) are promising building blocks for flexible and stretchable electronics to replace brittle metal oxides. Ultra-long AgNWs are preferred for enabling TCFs with excellent photoelectric properties and mechanical flexibility. Herein, a novel polyol process is proposed for the synthesis of ultra-long AgNWs, with the new finding that the addition cocamidopropyl betaine (CAB) to polyol synthesis allows the rapid production of AgNWs with an average length of ∼120 μm in a high yield of ∼90%. Also, a cocamidopropyl betaine assisted polyol method for the synthesis of ultra-long AgNWs is demonstrated with a possible mechanistic explanation. The prepared AgNWs are coated on a polyethylene glycol terephthalate (PET) substrate to fabricate a flexible transparent conductive film, which exhibits a low sheet resistance of ∼200 Ω sq−1 at 88.74% transmittance with a negligible change of sheet resistance after bending. In addition, flexible TCFs based on the resulting AgNWs reveal excellent mechanical flexibility and high cyclic stability after 300 cycles of bending. The new polyol process in this work will provide a greater possibility for the practical application of long AgNWs towards flexible and wearable optoelectronic devices. Ultra-long silver nanowires with a length of ∼120 μm were synthesised using a cocamidopropyl betaine-based polyol process.![]()

Abstract
Aims: Chronic diseases impose a substantial healthcare burden. This study sought to evaluate the clinical and economic impact of new disease management (DM) programs, targeting four major chronic disease groups: diabetes, coronary heart disease (CHD)/hypertension (HTN), asthma/chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and congestive heart failure (CHF)/chronic kidney disease (CKD).Materials and methods: Between March 1, 2015, and February 28, 2018, members with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana insurance were contacted and enrolled in a DM program if they were aged 18 years through 64 years, eligible for a DM program, and had not been previously enrolled in a DM program. Active enrollees of a DM program ("IN" group) were compared to members who were not yet enrolled ("OUT" group). Average per member per month (PMPM) costs were aggregated annually to document any descriptive trends. Multivariable model estimates were used to compare PMPM costs for all IN subjects and all OUT subjects. Total medical savings were evaluated for the following time intervals: 1-12 months, 13-24 months, and 25-36 months. Results: For all four DM programs, average costs PMPM trended upward over time for the OUT cohort, while they remained relatively stable for the IN cohort. Some evidence also showed that DM programs improved clinical outcomes, such as hemoglobin A1c values. A difference in difference analysis showed PMPM savings for all four programs combined of $31.61, $50.45, and $53.72 after 1, 2, and 3 years, respectively. Multivariable modeling results showed total savings after 3 years of $14,460,174 for all DM programs combined.Limitations: Although multivariable models adjusted for several clinical, demographic, and economic characteristics; it is possible that some important confounders were missing due to lack of data. Conclusions: DM programs implemented to control diabetes, CHD/HTN, CHF/CKD, and asthma/COPD are cost-effective and show some evidence of improved clinical outcomes.

Abstract
A search for the decays B_{s}^{0}→e^{+}e^{-} and B^{0}→e^{+}e^{-} is performed using data collected with the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to integrated luminosities of 1, 2, and 2 fb^{-1}, respectively. No signal is observed. Assuming no contribution from B^{0}→e^{+}e^{-} decays, an upper limit on the branching fraction B(B_{s}^{0}→e^{+}e^{-})<9.4(11.2)×10^{-9} is obtained at 90(95)% confidence level. If no B_{s}^{0}→e^{+}e^{-} contribution is assumed, a limit of B(B^{0}→e^{+}e^{-})<2.5(3.0)×10^{-9} is determined at 90(95)% confidence level. These upper limits are more than one order of magnitude lower than the previous values.

Abstract
Abstract
Introduction
Restless legs syndrome (RLS), an under-recognized sensorimotor condition worldwide, is thought to be a prodromal symptom of Parkinson’s disease as suggested by previous evidences. However, its association with prodromal chemosensory impairments, including olfactory or taste dysfunction, has remained largely unknown. Few studies of small sample sizes were conducted in predominantly Caucasian populations and results were inconsistent.
Methods
We performed a cross-sectional analysis including 90,337 Chinese adults free of neurodegenerative diseases in the Kailuan study in 2016. Presence of RLS was defined using revised RLS diagnostic criteria and further verified by Cambridge-Hopkins questionnaire for RLS. Perceived olfactory and taste dysfunction was collected via a questionnaire. The association between RLS and perceived olfactory and taste dysfunction was assessed using logistic regression model, adjusting for potential cofounders such as age, sex, smoking, alcohol consumption sleep conditions and medical history.
Results
RLS was associated with high odds of having perceived olfactory and/or taste dysfunction (adjusted odds ratio =5.92; 95% confidence interval, 3.11, 11.3). The significant association persisted when using Cambridge-Hopkins questionnaire for RLS (adjusted odds ratio =5.55; 95% confidence interval, 2.37-13.0) or when excluding participants with major chronic diseases.
Conclusion
RLS was associated with increased odds of perceived olfactory and taste dysfunction.

[PMID: 32451791 DOI: 10.1007/s10029-020-02219-1] [Citation(s) in RCA: 1] [Impact Index Per Article: 0.3] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 12/19/2019] [Accepted: 05/11/2020] [Indexed: 11/28/2022]
Abstract
PURPOSE It is difficult to manage the full-thickness defect that is created by radical resection of an abdominal wall tumor. This report aimed to review our institutional experience with immediate reconstruction using mesh reinforcement after abdominal wall tumor resection. METHODS We retrospectively examined patients who underwent abdominal wall tumor resection with immediate mesh-reinforced reconstruction between April 2014 and November 2018. The patients' records were reviewed to collect data regarding their demographic characteristics, surgical procedures, and complications. RESULTS We identified 30 eligible patients, including 5 who underwent simultaneous resection of affected intra-abdominal organs or tissues. The median size of the resulting abdominal wall defect was 60 cm2 (interquartile range: 32-127.5 cm2) and the median mesh size was 150 cm2 (interquartile range: 150-225 cm2). The median operative time was 85 min (interquartile range: 60-133.8 min), the mean hospital stay was 19.4 ± 9.0 days, and the mean follow-up period was 28.6 ± 16.0 months. The complications included seroma (n = 4), infection (n = 2), massive hematoma (n = 1), and abnormal sensation (n = 3). Tumor recurrence was observed in two patients, and three patients died because of cancer progression. No patient developed a ventral hernia or abdominal bulging. CONCLUSION Immediate mesh-reinforced reconstruction is feasible and effective for patients who require abdominal wall tumor resection.

Abstract
The ratio of the B_{s}^{0} and B^{+} fragmentation fractions f_{s} and f_{u} is studied with B_{s}^{0}→J/ψϕ and B^{+}→J/ψK^{+} decays using data collected by the LHCb experiment in proton-proton collisions at 7, 8, and 13 TeV center-of-mass energies. The analysis is performed in bins of B-meson momentum, longitudinal momentum, transverse momentum, pseudorapidity, and rapidity. The fragmentation-fraction ratio f_{s}/f_{u} is observed to depend on the B-meson transverse momentum with a significance of 6.0σ. This dependency is driven by the 13 TeV sample (8.7σ), while the results for the other collision energies are not significant when considered separately. Furthermore, the results show a 4.8σ evidence for an increase of f_{s}/f_{u} as a function of collision energy.

Abstract
Ratios of isospin amplitudes in hadron decays are a useful probe of the interplay between weak and strong interactions and allow searches for physics beyond the standard model. We present the first results on isospin amplitudes in b-baryon decays, using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 8.5 fb^{-1}, collected with the LHCb detector in pp collisions at center of mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV. The isospin amplitude ratio |A_{1}(Λ_{b}^{0}→J/ψΣ^{0})/A_{0}(Λ_{b}^{0}→J/ψΛ)|, where the subscript on A indicates the final-state isospin, is measured to be less than 1/21.8 at 95% confidence level. The Cabibbo suppressed Ξ_{b}^{0}→J/ψΛ decay is observed for the first time, allowing for the measurement |A_{0}(Ξ_{b}^{0}→J/ψΛ)/A_{1/2}(Ξ_{b}^{0}→J/ψΞ^{0})|=0.37±0.06±0.02, where the uncertainties are statistical and systematic, respectively.

Abstract
The dynamic behaviors of a domain wall (DW) pinned by a notch pair or a single notch with different notch depths are studied. It is found that, in a relatively large current density range, the oscillation frequency of the DW becomes frozen and independent of current density when pinned by a notch pair with a notch depth larger than 12 nm. The current density range for freezing the frequency can be tuned by the notch depth. A chain of notch pairs is designed to introduce more pinned DWs into the nanowire. By increasing the number of DWs and applying a proper magnetic field, the oscillation amplitude can be greatly enhanced. Our finding suggests that nanowires with a series of deep notch pairs may have an important application in the development of DW based spin-transfer nano-oscillators with a high tolerance for current fluctuation.

Abstract
Risk characterisation of dietary exposure of aflatoxins (AFs), fumonisins (FBs), deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone (ZEA) in maize from Shandong Province was conducted in this study. A total of 520 maize samples were collected after harvesting in 2014 and 2015 from 26 selected villages in Shandong Province, China. A deterministic approach was used in the current study. The dietary intake data of maize was obtained from ‘Shandong Statistical Yearbook 2018’. The risk characterisation of FBs, DON, and ZEA was evaluated in 4 population groups (2 to 6-year-old children, standard adults, city adults and village adults) based on probable intake. 2 to 6-year-old children and adults were exposed to FBs (0.42 and 0.20 μg/kg body weight (bw)/day), DON (0.04 and 0.019 μg/kg bw/day), and ZEA (0.0024 and 0.0011 μg/kg bw/day) through mean maize consumption in diets, which was lower than the provisional maximum tolerable daily intake of each mycotoxin established by JECFA. Risk assessments showed a low risk for liver cancer due to consumption of aflatoxin B1 (0.027-0.21 cases per 100,000 persons per year) contaminated maize compared with China’s current liver cancer incidence of 24.6 cases per 100,000 persons per year.

Abstract
Construction of an airport runway makes the impervious area of the airport high, which leads to the deterioration of the water environment and frequent waterlogging disasters. The selection of sponge airport facilities (e.g., pump, multi-functional storage tanks, green roof) to mitigate airport flooding has been a crucial issue in China. This study aims to develop a conceptual rainwater-runoff simulation model, which can take into account the effects of such facilities of a sponge airport. Taking catchment N1 of Beijing Daxing Airport as a case study, SWMM 5.1 was implemented to develop three sponge airport models (one pump, two pumps, combination of pump and multi-functional storage tanks). A sensitivity analysis was carried out to guarantee the robustness of the developed models. A 1-hour rainfall scenario with a 5-year return period was employed on the three sponge airport models. The results showed that the effect rankings of the control strategies on the water depth, volume and peak inflow of catchment N1 were comparable - combined strategies (combination of pump and multi-functional storage tanks) > one pump and two pumps. The conceptual and hydrological models developed in this study can serve as a simulation tool for implementing a real-time rainwater drainage control system in Beijing Daxing Airport.

Abstract
We report four narrow peaks in the Ξ_{b}^{0}K^{-} mass spectrum obtained using pp collisions at center-of-mass energies of 7, 8, and 13 TeV, corresponding to a total integrated luminosity of 9 fb^{-1} recorded by the LHCb experiment. Referring to these states by their mass, the mass values are m[Ω_{b}(6316)^{-}]=6315.64±0.31±0.07±0.50 MeV, m[Ω_{b}(6330)^{-}]=6330.30±0.28±0.07±0.50 MeV, m[Ω_{b}(6340)^{-}]=6339.71±0.26±0.05±0.50 MeV, m[Ω_{b}(6350)^{-}]=6349.88±0.35±0.05±0.50 MeV, where the uncertainties are statistical, systematic, and the last is due to the knowledge of the Ξ_{b}^{0} mass. The natural widths of the three lower mass states are consistent with zero, and the 90% confidence-level upper limits are determined to be Γ[Ω_{b}(6316)^{-}]<2.8 MeV, Γ[Ω_{b}(6330)^{-}]<3.1 MeV and Γ[Ω_{b}(6340)^{-}]<1.5 MeV. The natural width of the Ω_{b}(6350)^{-} peak is 1.4_{-0.8}^{+1.0}±0.1 MeV, which is 2.5σ from zero and corresponds to an upper limit of 2.8 MeV. The peaks have local significances ranging from 3.6σ to 7.2σ. After accounting for the look-elsewhere effect, the significances of the Ω_{b}(6316)^{-} and Ω_{b}(6330)^{-} peaks are reduced to 2.1σ and 2.6σ, respectively, while the two higher mass peaks exceed 5σ. The observed peaks are consistent with expectations for excited Ω_{b}^{-} resonances.

The present study was conducted to obtain a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying broodiness in a commercial breed, Tianfu geese, as little is known about the role of the pineal gland in this period. The aim was to identify genes which are differentially expressed in the pineal gland between the laying and broodiness periods by performing a transcriptome screen.2. After sequencing cDNA derived from the pineal gland and annotation of the results, a sequencing depth of 14.82 and 18.17 million mapped tags was obtained during the laying and broodiness periods, respectively, and a total of 120 differentially expressed genes were identified. Of these, 32 genes showing up-regulated expression and 88 genes showing down-regulated expression were identified in broodiness period vs. laying period libraries.3. Gene ontology (GO) analyses showed that these genes were related to the visual process, phototransduction, and lipoprotein metabolism. Kyoto Encyclopaedia of Genes and Genome (KEGG) analyses showed that phototransduction and tryptophan metabolism pathways exhibited the largest enrichment factors. The reliability of the RNA sequence data was confirmed by quantitative real-time PCR analysis of five genes, and the results were mostly consistent with those from the high-throughput RNA sequencing.4. The goose transcriptome and the identification of differentially expressed genes provided comprehensive gene expression information that enables a better understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying the broodiness period of geese.

Abstract
Increasing researches have focused on the biological functions of long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) in human cancers. HOXA11-AS, a widely known lncRNA, has been confirmed to be involved in the progression of several cancers, including gastric cancer (GC). Whereas, the detailed mechanism of this lncRNA in GC remains to be further illuminated. The abundances of HOXA11-AS, miR-148a and WNT1 in GC tissues and cell lines were examined by qRT-PCR. Clinicopathological and Kaplan-Meier survival analyses were determined to explore the relationship between HOXA11-AS expression and outcomes of patients. Transwell assay was performed for the evaluation of cell migration and invasion. Bioinformatics, dual-luciferase reporter and RNA immunoprecipitation assays were employed to analyze the correlation between HOXA11-AS and miR-148a or miR-148a and WNT1. The protein levels of WNT1 and β-catenin were assessed by western blot assay. Results showed that HOXA11-AS and WNT1 expression levels were upregulated, while miR-148a level was downregulated in GC tissues and cell lines relative to matched controls. Elevated expression of HOXA11-AS was associated with increased tumor size, lymph node metastasis, advanced TNM stage, as well as reduced survival of GC patients. HOXA11-AS induced migration and invasion of GC cells through serving as a molecular sponge for miR-148a. Furthermore, miR-148a inactivated WNT1/β-catenin signaling pathway via directly targeting WNT1. HOXA11-AS increased WNT1/β-catenin pathway activity, which was abolished by miR-148a overexpression in GC cells. In conclusion, overexpression of HOXA11-AS contributed to migration and invasion of GC cells via activation of WNT1/β-catenin signaling pathway through repressing miR-148a, providing a prospective therapeutic target for GC.

Abstract
Searches are performed for both promptlike and long-lived dark photons, A^{'}, produced in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 13 TeV. These searches look for A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays using a data sample corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 5.5 fb^{-1} collected with the LHCb detector. Neither search finds evidence for a signal, and 90% confidence-level exclusion limits are placed on the γ-A^{'} kinetic mixing strength. The promptlike A^{'} search explores the mass region from near the dimuon threshold up to 70 GeV and places the most stringent constraints to date on dark photons with 214<m(A^{'})≲740 MeV and 10.6<m(A^{'})≲30 GeV. The search for long-lived A^{'}→μ^{+}μ^{-} decays places world-leading constraints on low-mass dark photons with lifetimes O(1) ps.
