Abstract
Hepatitis type E virus (HEV) infection is a common cause of acute viral hepatitis in China, and its etiological diagnosis relies on laboratory detection. Therefore, this article introduces the HEV RNA, HEV antigen, anti-HEV IgM, and IgG detection methods and their diagnostic application value. In addition, it also discusses the current international diagnostic standard and HEV infection presentation.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to evaluate the biomarker potential of TIMP-2 in septic-induced acute kidney injury (AKI). Healthy male rats (n=56, age 8-10 weeks, body weight 250-300 g) were randomized into 3 groups: controls (intact rats, n=6), sham-operated (SO, n=24), and sepsis model (cecum ligation and perforation, CLP, n=24). Thirty minutes before and 6, 12, 24, and 48 h after surgery, blood samples were collected to measure serum creatinine, blood urea nitrogen (BUN), and TIMP-2 and the kidneys were isolated for histopathological analysis and Western blotting. The key sepsis-related genes were screened through bioinformatics analysis. In 24 and 48 h after surgery, 2 rats in the SO group reached the diagnostic criteria of AKI (increased levels of serum creatinine and BUN). In the CLP group, serum creatinine in 6 h after the surgery was slightly higher than 30 min before the surgery, but this change did not meet the diagnostic criteria for AKI. In the CLP group, BUN was normal 6 h after the surgery, but increased after 12 h. In more than 50% rats of the CLP group, serum creatinine and BUN significantly increased 12 h after operation, so this can be diagnosed as AKI. In rats of the CLP group, plasma TIMP-2 was elevated 6 h after surgery and increased with time, suggesting that plasma TIMP-2 can be used as an early marker of AKI. Histological examination of the kidneys in this group revealed destruction of the renal tubular structure, swelling of renal tubular epithelium, the disappearance of brush edge and collapse of necrotic epithelial cells, etc., and the degree of damage increased with time. Immunohistochemistry showed that TIMP-2 was expressed in rats of the CLP group at all terms of the experiment. The expression of TIMP-2 and pyroptosis-related proteins (NLRP3, IL-1β, caspase-1, and GSDMD) in the CLP group was higher than in the SO group (p<0.05) and increased with time, suggesting that pyroptosis is involved in AKI. Thus, plasma TIMP-2 is sensitive indicator for the early detection of kidney injury and can be used as an early biomarker of AKI.

Abstract
Objective: To explore the diagnostic values of HK2 testing and single-cell sequencing in the urothelial carcinoma (UC). Methods: The qualified urine specimens of 265 suspected UC patients or postoperative patients from the Cancer Hospital of Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China were collected. Both exfoliative cytology and HK2 testing were performed on clinically suspected UC or postoperative patients. The performance of diagnostic cytology and HK2, including consistency, sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value and negative predictive value, was evaluated based on histopathological, clinical and imaging diagnosis. Isolated HK2 metabolically abnormal cells were subject to single-cell sequencing to verify the reliability of HK2 detection performance and to explore the molecular characteristics of UC. Results: The concordance rate of HK2 testing and cytology for detecting UC was 90.3% (102/113, Kappa=0.604). Compared with cytology, the sensitivity of HK2 was significantly higher (85.2% versus 75.6%, P=0.024). The detection sensitivity of combined HK2 testing and cytology was increased to 91.1%. HK2 testing was significantly more sensitive than cytology for diagnosing UC in the upper urinary tract (81.8% versus 65.5%, P=0.022). It was also more sensitive than cytology for diagnosing early-stage UC (82.6% versus 69.5%, P=0.375) and low-grade UC (69.6% versus 47.8%, P=0.125). Single-cell sequencing of the ten patients, whose samples were positive for HK2, demonstrated highly concordant copy number variations (CNVs) in tumor cells from the same UC patient, with heterogeneity in CNV profiles among different patients. Deletion of chromosome 8p was found in 3 of the 4 urine samples of renal pelvis UC. The 2 patients with benign lesions had no CNVs in all sequenced cells. Conclusions: The test for abnormal urinary glycolytic HK2 metabolism can assist urine cytology to improve the sensitivity of UC diagnosis, and it provides a novel and reliable approach for early detection of upper urinary tract UC and lower grade UC. Meanwhile, this study has preliminarily revealed the feasibility of single-cell sequencing in urinary samples, which is expected to improve the diagnostic specificity of HK2 testing.

Abstract
Rhododendron is well-known for its beauty and colorful corolla. Although some high-quality whole-genome sequencing of Rhododendron has been completed, there is lack of studies on long terminal repeat (LTR) retrotransposons in Rhododendron, which limits our ability to elucidate the causes of genetic variations in Rhododendron species. The properties of the intact Rhododendron LTR retrotransposon were investigated at the genome-wide level. Based on the available data, the high-quality genomes from five species, i.e., R. griersonianum, R. simsii, R. henanense subsp. lingbaoense, R. mucronatum var. ripense and R. ovatum were selected as the identification targets with good assembly continuity. A total of 17,936 intact LTR retrotransposons were identified; they belong to the superfamilies Copia and Gypsy with 17 clades. The insertion time of these transposons was later than 120 million years ago, and the outbreak period was concentrated more recently than 30 million years ago. Phylogenetic analysis revealed that many LTR retrotransposons might originate from intraspecific duplication. The current evidences also suggests that most of the LTR retrotransposons were inserted in the interstitial part of the genes in R. griersonianum, R. simsii, R. henanense, and R. ovatum, and the functions of the inserted genes are mainly involved in starch metabolism and proteolysis etc. The effect of LTR retrotransposon on gene expression depends on its insertion site and activation. Highly expressed LTR retrotransposons tended to be younger. The activity of LTR retrotransposons may affect some stage-specific expression genes of flower development, such as leucine-rich repeat receptor-like kinase. The available results herein improve our knowledge of LTR retrotransposons in Rhododendron genomes and facilitate the further study of genetic variation and trait evolution in Rhododendron.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE The purpose of this study was to retrospectively assess the efficacy and safety of percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) for upper urinary stones using upper pole access (UPA) and other (low or middle) pole access (OPA). MATERIALS AND METHODS A comprehensive literature review of articles investigating the clinical efficacy and safety of UPA and OPA was performed. The relevant literature was obtained from PubMed, EMBASE, Science Direct, Google Scholar and the Cochrane Library. The primary outcomes, including the stone-free rate, were evaluated using Review Manager 5.4 software. The secondary outcomes (peri- and postoperative complications and operative date) were also compared and analyzed. RESULTS Ten comparative studies involving 5,290 patients were included in the analysis. The pooled data showed that the UPA group had a stone-free rate (SFR) similar to that of the OPA group [odds ratio (OR) 1.38, 95% confidence interval (CI): 0.94 to 2.03; p=0.22] but a higher incidence of blood transfusion [OR: 1.50; 95% CI: (1.03, 2.19), p=0.04]. There was no statistically significant difference in operative time [mean difference (MD): -7.27; 95% CI: (-25.18, 10.65), p=0.43] or hospital stay [MD: -0.13; 95% CI: (-0.64, 0.37), p=0.60] between the two groups. In addition, the results support that UPA causes fewer complications than OPA. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest that UPA and OPA are both effective treatments for the management of upper urinary stones. Compared to OPA, UPA is associated with less need for blood transfusion and fewer complications. Nevertheless, the findings should be further confirmed by well-designed prospective randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with large samples and strict standards.

Abstract
Medulloblastoma (MB) is one of the most frequent malignant brain tumors in children. The metastasis of MB outside the nervous system is associated with a poor prognosis. Our study aimed to explore the genes correlated with metastasis in MB. Using the data downloaded from the gene expression omnibus database, the differentially expressed genes were identified between the metastatic and nonmetastatic samples in MB, which were undergone functional enrichment. Prognosis related genes were identified using univariate Cox regression analysis. The gene set enrichment analysis was conducted to find MB metastasis related pathways. A total of 196 differentially expressed genes were identified between metastatic and nonmetastatic samples in MB patients, and these genes were significantly enriched in 483 gene ontology terms and 29 Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathways. In addition, univariate Cox regression analysis screened the top 10 genes (CEMIP, GLCE, ART3, GABRA5, COLEC12, LIN28B, ZNF521, IL17RB, Fas apoptotic inhibitory molecule 2 (FAIM2), RCBTB2) that were significantly associated with survival of MB, among which FAIM2 was prominently expressed in cerebral cortex, cerebellum and hippocampus. The expression of FAIM2 was decreased in metastatic MB samples, and FAIM2 harbored missense mutations, amplifications and deep deletions in metastatic samples of MB. Moreover, a total of 25 pathways were significantly activated and 41 pathways were significantly inhibited in FAIM2 high expression group compared to FAIM2 low expression group in MB patients. FAIM2 was tightly correlated with metastasis in MB patients, and the low expression of FAIM2 was associated with poor prognosis.

Abstract
We explored clinicopathological features and treatment strategies for thoracic SMARCA4-deficient undifferentiated tumor (SMARCA4-UT). Thoracic SMARCA4-UT is a new entity recently acknowledged in the 2021 edition of World Health Organization Classification of Thoracic Tumors, and doctors are relatively unfamiliar with its diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis. Taking a case of SMARCA4-UT treated in Peking University First Hospital as an example, this multi-disciplinary discussion covered several hot issues on diagnosing and treating thoracic SMARCA4-UT, including histological features, immu- nohistochemical and molecular phenotype, immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) therapy, and pathological assessment of neoadjuvant therapy response. The patient was an older man with a long history of smoking and was admitted due to a rapidly progressing solid tumor in the lower lobe of the right lung. Histologically, tumor cells were epithelioid, undifferentiated, diffusely positive for CD34, and partially positive for SALL4.The expression of BRG1 protein encoded by SMARCA4 gene was lost in all of tumor cells, and next-generation sequencing(NGS)confirmed SMARCA4 gene mutation (c.2196T>G, p.Y732Ter). The pathological diagnosis reached as thoracic SMARCA4-UT, and the preoperative TNM stage was T1N2M0 (ⅢA). Tumor proportion score (TPS) detected by immunohistochemistry of programmed cell death 1-ligand 1 (PD-L1, clone SP263) was 2%. Tumor mutation burden (TMB) detected by NGS of 1 021 genes was 16. 3/Mb. Microsatellite detection showed the tumor was microsatellite stable (MSS). Neo-adjuvant therapy was implemented with the combined regimen of chemotherapy and ICI. Right lower lobectomy was performed through thoracoscopy after the two weeks' neoadjuvant. The pathologic assessment of lung tumor specimens after neoadjuvant therapy revealed a complete pathological response (CPR). The post-neoadjuvant tumor TNM stage was ypT0N0M0. Then, five cycles of adjuvant therapy were completed. Until October 2022, neither tumor recurrence nor metastasis was detected, and minimal residual disease (MRD) detection was negative. At present, it is believed that if BRG1 immunohistochemical staining is negative, regardless of whether SMARCA4 gene mutation is detected, it should be classified as SMARCA4-deficient tumors. SMARCA4-deficient tumors include a variety of carcinomas and sarcomas. The essential criteria for diagnosing SMARCA4-UT includes loss of BRG1 expression, speci-fic histological morphology, and exclude other common thoracic malignant tumors with SMARCA4-deficiency, such as squamous cell carcinoma, adenocarcinoma and large cell carcinoma. SMARCA4-UT is a very aggressive malignant tumor with a poor prognosis. It has almost no targeted therapy mutations, and little response to chemotherapy, but ICI is currently the only effective drug. The successful diagnosis and treatment for this case of SMARCA4-UT should enlighten significance for various kinds of SMARCA4-deficient tumors.

Abstract
Bacterial keratitis (BK) is an ophthalmic infection caused by bacteria and poses a risk of blindness. Numerous drugs have been used to treat BK, the majority suffered from limited effect owing to their backward antimicrobial and delivery efficacy. Herein, we evaluated the antibacterial effect of a cationic carbon-based nanomaterial, i.e., imidazole-modified graphene quantum dots (IMZ-GQDs), which exhibits disinfection rates of >90% against three typical Gram-positive strains within 3 h owing to the loss of membrane integrity and decline in membrane potential. For ocular application, we further developed IMZ-GQDs-loaded dissolving microneedle patches (IMZ-GQDs MNs) via a typical two-step micromolding method. IMZ-GQDs MNs showed sufficient dissolution and penetration for intrastromal delivery in vitro and successfully overcome the rabbit corneal epithelial layer in vivo. The excellent biocompatibility of IMZ-GQDs MNs was demonstrated both in cell and animal models, and they exhibited low cytotoxicity, low invasiveness and low ocular irritation. The topical application of IMZ-GQDs MNs has the benefits of both high antibacterial activity and effective drug delivery, thereby leading to the resolution of Staphylococcus aureus-induced BK in rabbits in 7 days. Therefore, IMZ-GQDs MNs is a promising approach for BK treatment, which is safe and efficient.

Abstract
RATIONALE & OBJECTIVE Challenges in achieving valid risk prediction and stratification impede treatment decisions and clinical research design for patients with glomerular diseases. This study evaluated whether chronic histologic changes, when complementing other clinical data, improved the prediction of disease outcomes across a diverse group of glomerular diseases. STUDY DESIGN Multicenter retrospective cohort study. SETTING & PARTICIPANTS 4,982 patients with biopsy-proven glomerular disease who underwent native biopsy at 8 tertiary care hospitals across China in 2004-2020. NEW PREDICTORS & ESTABLISHED PREDICTORS Chronicity scores depicted as 4 categories of histological chronic change, as well as baseline clinical and demographic variables. OUTCOME Progression of glomerular disease defined as a composite of kidney failure or a ≥40% decrease in estimated glomerular filtration rate from the measurement at the time of biopsy. ANALYTICAL APPROACH Multivariable Cox proportional hazard models. The performance of predictive models was evaluated by C statistic, time-dependent area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUROC), net reclassification index, integrated discrimination index, and calibration plots. RESULTS The derivation and validation cohorts included 3,488 and 1,494 patients, respectively. During a median of 31 months of follow-up, a total of 444 (8.9%) patients had disease progression in the 2 cohorts. For prediction of the 2-year risk of disease progression, the AUROC of the model combining chronicity score and the Kidney Failure Risk Equation (KFRE) in the validation cohort was 0.76 (95% CI, 0.65-0.87); in comparison with the KFRE model (AUROC, 0.68 [95% CI, 0.56-0.79]), the combined model was significantly better (P = 0.04). The combined model also had a better fit, with a lower Akaike information criterion and a significant improvement in reclassification as assessed by the integrated discrimination improvements and net reclassification improvements. Similar improvements in predictive performance were observed in subgroup and sensitivity analyses. LIMITATIONS Selection bias, relatively short follow-up, lack of external validation. CONCLUSIONS Adding histologic chronicity scores to the KFRE model improved the prediction of kidney disease progression at the time of kidney biopsy in patients with glomerular diseases. PLAIN-LANGUAGE SUMMARY Risk prediction and stratification remain big challenges for treatment decisions and clinical research design for patients with glomerular diseases. The extent of chronic changes is an important component of kidney biopsy evaluations in glomerular disease. In this large multicenter cohort including 4,982 Chinese adults undergoing native kidney biopsy, we evaluated whether histologic chronicity scores, when added to clinical data, could improve the prediction of disease prognosis for a diverse set of glomerular diseases. We observed that adding histologic chronicity scores to the kidney failure risk equation improved the prediction of kidney disease progression at the time of kidney biopsy in patients with glomerular diseases.

Abstract
AIMS DJ-1, a multifunctional protein encoded by the Park7 gene, is tightly related to mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, protein aggregation, and autophagy regulation. The current study was designed to investigate whether DJ-1 is expressed in auditory cells and, if so, to explore the possible correlation between DJ-1 and cisplatin-induced ototoxicity in this type of cells. METHODS The location and dynamic expression of DJ-1 in mouse cochlea hair cells (HCs) and House Ear Institute-Organ of Corti 1 (HEI-OC1 cells) were detected by immunofluorescence, real-time PCR, and western blot. The apoptosis of auditory cells was assessed by TUNEL staining and flow cytometry. The levels of ROS were evaluated by MitoSox red staining. The expression of protein cleaved caspase-9, cleaved caspase-3, and LC3B was examined by immunofluorescence and western blot. The expressions of certain key factors relevant to apoptosis (Bcl-2 and Bax) and autophagy (Beclin1, p-JNK, and p-c-Jun) were determined by western blot. The dynamic alterations of those factors in response to DJ-1 knockdown in HEI-OC1 cells (DJ-1-KD) were measured by western blotting and MitoSox red staining. RESULTS The expression of DJ-1 was clearly shown in both HCs and HEI-OC1 cells and cisplatin led to the reduction of DJ-1 expression in a concentration and time-dependent manner. Meanwhile, cisplatin-induced apoptotic process was implemented by promoting reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and activating the mitochondrial pathway. Furthermore, DJ-1 explicitly participated in cisplatin-trigged cell damage by regulating autophagy. CONCLUSIONS Findings from this work clearly reveal, for the first time, that DJ-1 is expressed in the cochlea. Of particular importance, DJ-1 exerts its protective action against cisplatin-elicited injury on auditory cells via regulating apoptosis and autophagy, which provides a new strategy for the prevention of cisplatin-induced ototoxicity.

Abstract
BACKGROUND To explore the mediating role of personality traits in the correlation between multi-dimensional adverse childhood experiences (ACEs) and depressive symptoms in older adults. METHODS This cohort study used data from the English Longitudinal Study of Ageing, and included 4050 older adults without depressive symptoms in 2010-2011. Multi-dimensional ACEs were evaluated in 2006-2007. Personality traits were assessed using the Midlife Development Inventory in 2010-2011. Depressive symptoms were measured using the 8-item version of the Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale during 2012-2019. Cox proportional hazard model was used to explore the associations between ACEs and depressive symptoms. The package named "mediation" in R was used to test mediating role of personality traits. RESULTS ACEs in each dimension significantly increased the risk of depressive symptoms (all P-values < 0.05). The association of maltreatment (18.18 %) and household dysfunction (19.69 %) with depressive symptoms was significantly mediated by neuroticism. The correlation between poor parent-child bonding and depressive symptoms was significantly mediated by neuroticism (19.43 %), conscientiousness (4.84 %), and extroversion (8.02 %). LIMITATIONS ACEs were retrospectively assessed based on participants' memories, which may induce recall bias. CONCLUSIONS Maltreatment and household dysfunction may induce depressive symptoms by increasing neuroticism. Poor parent-child bonding may induce depressive symptoms by increasing neuroticism and reducing conscientiousness and extraversion. In addition to reducing the occurrence of ACEs, reducing neuroticism of individuals with maltreatment and household dysfunction in childhood, and reducing neuroticism, and increasing conscientiousness and extraversion of individuals with poor parent-child bonding in childhood might help to decrease their risk of depressive symptoms.

Abstract
Glycerol monolaurate (GML) is a food safe emulsifier and a kind of MCFA monoglyceride that has been proven to confer positive benefits in improving animal health, production and feed digestibility as a feed additive. This study aims to evaluate whether supplementation of a sow diet with GML could affect the intestinal barrier function and antioxidant status of newborn piglets and to explore its regulatory mechanism. A total of 80 multiparous sows were divided into two groups, which were fed a basal diet or a basal diet supplemented with 0.1% GML. The results indicated that maternal supplementation with GML significantly increased fat, lactose and protein in sow colostrum, as well as fat and protein in sow 14-day milk (P < 0.05). The results showed that GML significantly reduced the concentrations of IL-12 in the duodenum, TNF-α, IL-1β and IL-12 in the jejunum, and IL-1β in the ileum of piglets (P < 0.05). Higher concentrations of T-AOC, T-SOD, GSH and GSH-Px and lower MDA in the intestine were observed in the GML group than in the control group. Correspondingly, the villi height, crypt depth and the ratio of villi height to crypt depth (V/C) in the jejunum and the V/C in the ileum in the GML group were significantly higher than those in the control group (P < 0.05). Moreover, the GML group displayed significantly increased protein abundance of zonula occludens (ZO)-1, occludin, and claudin-1 in the small intestine (P < 0.05), mRNA expression of mucins (MUCs) in the small intestine (MUC-1, MUC-3 and MUC-4), and mRNA expression of porcine beta defensins (pBDs) in the duodenum (pBD1 and pBD2), jejunum (pBD1, pBD2 and pBD129) (P < 0.05), and ileum (pBD2, pBD3 and pBD114) (P < 0.05). Further research showed that GML significantly reduced the phosphorylation of the NF-κB/MAPK pathways in the small intestine (P < 0.05). In addition, the results of 16S rDNA sequencing showed that maternal supplementation with GML altered the colonic microbiotic structure of piglets, and reduced the relative abundance of Escherichia shigella. In summary, a sow diet supplemented with GML enhanced the offspring's intestinal oxidative stability and barrier function and attenuated the offspring's intestinal inflammatory response, possibly by suppressing the activation of the NF-κB/MAPK pathways.

Abstract
Genetic variants among individuals have been associated with ineffective control of hypertension. Previous work has shown that hypertension has a polygenic nature, and interactions between these loci have been associated with variations in drug response. Rapid detection of multiple genetic loci with high sensitivity and specificity is needed for the effective implementation of personalized medicine for the treatment of hypertension. Here, we used a cationic conjugated polymer (CCP)-based multistep fluorescence resonance energy transfer (MS-FRET) technique to qualitatively analyze DNA genotypes associated with hypertension in the Chinese population. Assessment of 10 genetic loci using this technique successfully identified known hypertensive risk alleles in a retrospective study of whole-blood samples from 150 patients hospitalized with hypertension. We then applied our detection method in a prospective clinical trial of 100 patients with essential hypertension and found that personalized treatment of patients with hypertension based on results from the MS-FRET technique could effectively improve blood pressure control rate (94.0% versus 54.0%) and shorten the time duration to controlling blood pressure (4.06 ± 2.10 versus 5.82 ± 1.84 days) as compared with conventional treatment. These results suggest that CCP-based MS-FRET genetic variant detection may assist clinicians in rapid and accurate classification of risk in patients with hypertension and improve treatment outcomes.

Abstract
BACKGROUND This study aimed to explore the association of emotional and behavioral problems with sleep disturbance among Chinese adolescents, and to test whether these associations vary with adolescents' academic performance. METHODS Data were from the 2021 School-based Chinese Adolescents Health Survey using a multistage, stratified-cluster, and random-sampling method to collect information from 22,684 middle school students in Guangdong Province, China. RESULTS Emotional problems (aOR = 1.34, 95 % CI = 1.32-1.36), conduct problems (aOR = 1.19, 95 % CI = 1.16-1.21), hyperactivity (aOR = 1.35, 95 % CI = 1.33-1.37), and peer problems (aOR = 1.06, 95 % CI = 1.04-1.09) were significantly associated with the increased risk of sleep disturbance among middle school students in Guangdong Province. The prevalence of sleep disturbance among adolescents was 29.4 %. There were significant interactions of emotional problems/conduct problems/peer problems/prosocial behavior with academic performance on sleep disturbance. Further stratification analyses by academic performance showed that adolescents with self-reported good academic performance had a higher risk of sleep disturbance than those students with self-reported average or poor academic performance. LIMITATIONS This study only included school students and used the cross-sectional design to preclude causality determination. CONCLUSIONS Our findings suggest that emotional and behavioral problems elevate the risk of sleep disturbance in adolescents. Adolescent academic performance plays a modulating role in these above-mentioned significant associations for sleep disturbance.

Abstract
Accurate measurement of the distance from the tumor's lowest boundary to the anal verge (DTAV) provides an important reference value for treatment of rectal cancer, but the standard measurement method (colonoscopy) causes substantial pain. Therefore, we propose a method for automatically measuring the DTAV on sagittal magnetic resonance (MR) images. We designed a boundary-guided transformer that can accurately segment the rectum and tumor. From the segmentation results, we estimated the DTAV by automatically extracting the anterior rectal wall from the tumor's lowest point to the anal verge and then calculating its physical length. Experiments were conducted on a rectal tumor MR imaging (MRI) dataset to evaluate the efficacy of our method. The results showed that our method outperformed surgeons with 6 years of experience (p < 0.001). Furthermore, by referring to our segmentation results, attending and resident surgeons could improve their measurement precision and efficiency.

Abstract
Previous studies have shown a relationship between fine particulate matter (PM2.5) exposure and an increased risk of neonatal disorders. Considering the huge burden of neonatal disorders, we assessed spatiotemporal trends of neonatal disorders burden caused by ambient and household PM2.5 at the global, regional, and national levels from 1990 to 2019. The number, rate, and population attributable fraction (PAF) of ambient and household PM2.5-related neonatal disorders disability-adjusted life years (DALYs) in 204 countries and territories from 1990 to 2019 were obtained from the Global Burden of Disease Study 2019 to measure the related neonatal disorders burden by age, sex, subtype, and region. Estimated annual percentage change (EAPC) was estimated to quantify temporal trends. In 2019, approximately a fifth of the global neonatal disorders burden was attributable to PM2.5 exposure, with 7.54% for ambient PM2.5 and 13.23% for household PM2.5. Although the global neonatal disorders burden attributable to household PM2.5 has decreased substantially in the past 30 years, that attributable to ambient PM2.5 has increased, especially in lower sociodemographic index (SDI) regions. The highest rate and PAF of ambient PM2.5-related neonatal disorders DALYs in 2019 were in South Asia and East Asia, respectively, and the fastest increases were in Eastern Sub-Saharan Africa (for rate: EAPC = 2.55, 95% CI: 2.37-2.73) and South Asia (for PAF: EAPC = 3.88, 95% CI: 3.68-4.08). In addition, we found an inverted V-shaped between rates and PAFs of ambient PM2.5-related neonatal disorders DALYs in 2019, as well as corresponding EAPCs, and SDI, while rates and PAFs of household PM2.5-related neonatal disorders DALYs in 2019 were highly negatively correlated with SDI. In the past three decades, the global ambient PM2.5-related neonatal disorders burden largely increased, especially in lower SDI regions. Comparatively, the household PM2.5-related neonatal disorders burden decreased but still accounted for about two-thirds of the PM2.5-related neonatal disease burden.

Abstract
Accurately measuring the Distance from the lowest boundary of rectal tumor To the Anal Verge (DTAV) is critical for developing optimal surgical plans for treating patients with rectal cancer. DTAV was traditionally estimated by colonoscopy or manual measurement on computed tomography (CT) images. However, colonoscopy brings substantial pains to the patient. As for manual measurement on CT images, it is time-consuming and its accuracy depends on the surgeon's expertise. In this work, we present a novel method for automatically measuring DTAV from sagittal CT images. The success of our method is mainly credited to a pyramid attention pooling (PAP) transformer architecture, which naturally entangles global lesion localization and local boundary delineation. Our method automatically generates the rectum's centerline based on a segmented rectum and tumor image to simulate the manual measurement of DTAV. We conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the method with a newly collected rectum tumor CT image dataset. On a test dataset of 48 patients' CT images with rectal tumors, the mean absolute difference between our method and the gold standard is 1.74 cm, which is a significant improvement of 1.29 cm over that measured by a resident surgeon (P < 0.001). In addition, The results measured by the resident surgeon referring to our segmentation results improved by 1.46 cm compared to the results measured independently by the residents. As experimentally demonstrated, our method exhibits great application potential in clinical scenarios.

Abstract
Herein, the solubility study of clotrimazole was performed in a propylene glycol+water system. The solubility values were fitted to various cosolvency equations. The model accuracies were studied with the computation of the mean relative deviations. The thermodynamic behavior was investigated according to the van't Hoff and Gibbs equations for clotrimazole in the propylene glycol+water system. Furthermore, the density data for clotrimazole were determined in mixtures of propylene glycol+water and fitted to the Jouyban-Acree equation.

Abstract
Objective: To investigate the effects of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) combined with autologous Meek microskin transplantation on patients with extensive burns. Methods: The prospective self-controlled study was conducted. From May 2019 to June 2022, 16 patients with extensive burns admitted to the 990th Hospital of PLA Joint Logistics Support Force met the inclusion criteria, while 3 patients were excluded according to the exclusion criteria, and 13 patients were finally selected, including 10 males and 3 females, aged 24-61 (42±13) years. A total of 20 trial areas (40 wounds, with area of 10 cm×10 cm in each wound) were selected. Two adjacent wounds in each trial area were divided into hUCMSC+gel group applied with hyaluronic acid gel containing hUCMSCs and gel only group applied with hyaluronic acid gel only according to the random number table, with 20 wounds in each group. Afterwards the wounds in two groups were transplanted with autologous Meek microskin grafts with an extension ratio of 1∶6. In 2, 3, and 4 weeks post operation, the wound healing was observed, the wound healing rate was calculated, and the wound healing time was recorded. The specimen of wound secretion was collected for microorganism culture if there was purulent secretion on the wound post operation. In 3, 6, and 12 months post operation, the scar hyperplasia in wound was assessed using the Vancouver scar scale (VSS). In 3 months post operation, the wound tissue was collected for hematoxylin-eosin (HE) staining to observe the morphological changes and for immunohistochemical staining to observe the positive expressions of Ki67 and vimentin and to count the number of positive cells. Data were statistically analyzed with paired samples t test and Bonferronni correction. Results: In 2, 3, and 4 weeks post operation, the wound healing rates in hUCMSC+gel group were (80±11)%, (84±12)%, and (92±9)%, respectively, which were significantly higher than (67±18)%, (74±21)%, and (84±16)% in gel only group (with t values of 4.01, 3.52, and 3.66, respectively, P<0.05). The wound healing time in hUCMSC+gel group was (31±11) d, which was significantly shorter than (36±13) d in gel only group (t=-3.68, P<0.05). The microbiological culture of the postoperative wound secretion specimens from the adjacent wounds in 2 groups was identical, with negative results in 4 trial areas and positive results in 16 trial areas. In 3, 6, and 12 months post operation, the VSS scores of wounds in gel only group were 7.8±1.9, 6.7±2.1, and 5.4±1.6, which were significantly higher than 6.8±1.8, 5.6±1.6, and 4.0±1.4 in hUCMSC+gel group, respectively (with t values of -4.79, -4.37, and -5.47, respectively, P<0.05). In 3 months post operation, HE staining showed an increase in epidermal layer thickness and epidermal crest in wound in hUCMSC+gel group compared with those in gel only group, and immunohistochemical staining showed a significant increase in the number of Ki67 positive cells in wound in hUCMSC+gel group compared with those in gel only group (t=4.39, P<0.05), with no statistically significant difference in the number of vimentin positive cells in wound between the 2 groups (P>0.05). Conclusions: The application of hyaluronic acid gel containing hUCMSCs to the wound is simple to perform and is therefore a preferable route. Topical application of hUCMSCs can promote healing of the autologous Meek microskin grafted area in patients with extensive burns, shorten wound healing time, and alleviate scar hyperplasia. The above effects may be related to the increased epidermal thickness and epidermal crest, and active cell proliferation.
