Abstract
The adverse effects caused by antibiotics and the interactions between other drugs based on the results of clinical studies on children recently conducted in Japan, as well as the results of previous studies in the literature were reviewed. Adverse effects of beta-lactam, macrolide and azalide antibiotics commonly observed in children included gastrointestinal symptoms such as diarrhea and loose stool, and hypersensitivity such as rash and fever. The incidences were 1-6% and 0.2-1.6%, respectively. Eosinophilia, thrombocytosis, and elevation of serum glutamate oxaloacetate transaminase and serum glutamate pyruvate transaminase were common abnormal laboratory findings. Although many of the antibiotics used in children are relatively safe, cautions should be given because developing children tend to have adverse effects unique or common in children, in addition to those commonly seen in adults.

Abstract
The effects of the short term administration of triamcinolone (0.5 mg per 100 g body weight, 5 days) on apolipoprotein E and A-I concentrations in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), brain extract and serum were studied in male Wistar rats using enzyme immunoassays. ApoE was significantly increased by triamcinolone in apoE-rich HDL1 in serum; 40+/-13 (mean+/-SD) vs. 68+/-23 mg/dl (15 saline-treated rats vs. 11 triamcinolone-treated rats)(P<0.01), which was paralleled by an increase in serum apoA-I (76+/-21 vs. 184+/-24 mg/dl), while serum lipids also increased significantly. No significant difference was observed in the apoE concentrations in CSF (296+/-170 vs. 269+/-67 microg/dl) or brain extract (5.0+/-1.6 vs. 5.7+/-1.8 microg/g wet weight). The apoA-I concentrations found in CSF and brain extract were much lower than those for apoE and were not appreciably affected by triamcinolone: 7.7+/-5.5 vs. 4.5+/-3.1 microg/dl for CSF and <0.5 vs. <0.5 microg/g wet weight for brain extract. The apo E metabolism in the rat central nervous system appears to be refractory to the short term administration of triamcinolone and to changes in the serum lipoprotein metabolism. ApoA-I appears unlikely to play a significant role in the rat central nervous system.

Abstract
To survey the emergence and onset of differentiation of the astrocytic lineage in the developing mouse cerebral wall, the promoter activity of a 2.5 kb 5'-flanking region of glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) was measured in individual developing brain cells using a retrovirus-mediated gene transfer system. We identified precursors for astrocytes in primary culture of embryonic mouse cerebral wall cells by detection of GFAP promoter activity, which was detected approximately 3 days prior to the appearance of GFAP immunoreactivity. Since retroviruses only integrate into the chromosomes of actively proliferating cells, cells detected by this method should have been mitotically active at the time of retroviral infection on day 15 postfertilization (E15). Furthermore, we observed that cells activating GFAP promoter were located near the ventricular surface of cultured cerebral wall slices as a cluster of spherical cells. These results demonstrate that precursor cells for astrocytes exist within the germinative zone of developing cerebral wall, and that these cells are mitotically active on day E15, which is a late stage of neuronal production period in the mouse cerebral wall. The morphology, location and mitotic activity of these cells suggest that they are unlikely to be cells that have been transformed from radial glial cells.

Abstract
A 68-year-old man presented with microscopic hematuria. Cystoscopy revealed a papillary and pedunculated tumor in the bladder dome which, on punch biopsy, proved to be adenocarcinoma. Partial cystectomy and urachal remnant resection were performed. Histopathologically, the tumor was diagnosed as an urachal tumor. Four months after surgery, multiple posterior urethral tumors were found; punch biopsy revealed adenocarcinoma, which was quite similar to the previous tumor. Based on the histopathological examination of the transurethrally resected tissue, the urethral tumor was diagnosed as a recurrence of the urachal carcinoma. No evidence of either tumor recurrence or metastasis was found within the 15 months following the second surgery.

Abstract
Malondialdehyde-modified LDL(MDA-LDL) is one of the major oxidative LDL. MDA-LDL was determined by enzyme immunoassay in patients with complete and partial cholesteryl ester transfer protein(CETP) deficiency. Significantly increased serum MDA-LDL levels and MDA-LDL/apoB ratios in the LDL fraction were observed in patients with complete CETP deficiency but not for those with partial CETP deficiency. The present results may indicate that patients with complete CETP deficiency have a higher risk for atherosclerosis than those with partial CETP deficiency and normal.

Abstract
Glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP) is expressed exclusively in astrocytes in the central nervous system. In order to characterize individual cultured cells in which the GFAP promoter is active and to identify the regulatory mechanisms of GFAP expression in these cells, we have developed a unique assay system for promoter activity using retrovirus vectors. Retrovirus containing the mouse GFAP promoter fused to the lacZ gene were used to infect mixed glial cultures. The infected cells, in which the GFAP promoter was active, were visualized by X-Gal staining. From these experiments, we found that a 256 bp fragment 5' of the transcription initiation site was sufficient to confer astrocyte-specific expression of GFAP. The GFAP promoter became active about 3 days before GFAP protein can be detected immunohistochemically, which indicates that detection of GFAP promoter activity can be used to identify astrocyte progenitors. We have also established immortalized astrocyte cell lines in which we detect GFAP promoter activity. Immorto mouse is a transgenic mouse generated by the introduction of thermolabile SV40 T Ag, tsA58. A mixed glial culture prepared from 2-day-old Immorto mouse brain was incubated at 32 degrees C, at which temperature most of the cells expressed T Ag. The culture was then infected with retrovirus containing GFAP promoter-lacZ, and the infected cells were selected. Using the fluorescence-activated cell sorter with fluorescein di-beta-D-galactopyranoside as a substrate (FDG-FACS), these cells were separated into two groups: FDG(+), in which the GFAP promoter was active, and FDG(-), in which it was inactive. Mature astrocyte cell lines were established from the FDG(+) cells by colony isolation. The FDG(-) cells were cloned by colony isolation and cultured at 32 or 39 degrees C. At the latter temperature the expression of T Ag was suppressed and cell differentiation was induced in most cells. The cells which became positive for X-Gal staining only after switching to 39 degrees C were collected as immature astrocyte cell lines. These immortalized cell lines should be useful to investigate the molecular mechanisms of astrocyte differentiation.

Abstract
Azithromycin (AZM), a new macrolide antibiotic, in fine granules and in capsules was studied for pharmacokinetic and clinical evaluation in the pediatric patients. Antibacterial activity of AZM against 43 clinical isolates: AZM exhibited slightly lower activity against Gram-positive bacteria and 2-8-fold higher activity against Gram-negative bacteria than erythromycin or clarithromycin. Plasma or urine samples were collected from eight patients receiving the drug in fine granular form, and two patients receiving it in capsules for the determination of drug levels. The elimination half-lives of AZM after administration at dose of 10 mg/kg/day for 3 days were 50.0 and 51.2 hours for fine granules, and 41.5 hours for capsules. AUC0-infinity was 11.7 and 24.3 micrograms.hr/ml for fine granules, and 8.3 micrograms.hr/ml for capsules. The cumulative excretion rates up to 120 hours after the start of treatment were 8.24 and 13.84% for fine granules, and 3.83% for capsules. AZM was administered to 123 patients once daily at 3.7-20.0 mg/kg body weight over 3 to 5 days with reference to the standard dose of 10 mg/kg. The drug was used to treat patients with pharyngitis, tonsillitis, scarlet fever, pneumonia, mycoplasmal pneumonia, chlamydial pneumonia, otitis media, pertussis, intestinal infection, and SSTI. The effectiveness of AZM was evaluated in 109 cases. The drug was rated "excellent" in 65.1% of the patients and "good" in 29.4%, resulting in an efficacy rate of 94.5%. Furthermore, AZM eradicated 43 of 46 (93.5%) bacteria that had been identified before the treatment. Three patients complained of side effects of urticaria (1 case) and diarrhea (2 cases). Abnormal laboratory changes were reported as follows: decreased leukocyte (3 cases), increased eosinophil (5), increased platelet (2), increased eosinophil and platelet, elevated GPT (1), and elevated GOT and GPT (1). The abnormalities, however, were mild enough to raise no clinically significant problems. In conclusion, AZM in once daily regimen was effective and safe in treatment of pediatric infections.

Abstract
Copper-catalyzed oxidation of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) (0.8 g protein/l LDL, 20 mumol/l CuSo4, 37 degrees C) resulted in the formation of thiobarbituric reactive substances that was substantially completed at 24 hrs whereas their formation from high-density lipoproteins (HDL) plateaued at only 25% of that amount after 8 hrs. The oxidized lipoproteins induced aggregation and increases in [Ca2+]i in washed platelets, but not in platelet-rich plasma, and these activating effects were not inhibited by aspirin or EGTA but were inhibited by both of the native lipoproteins. These results show that oxidized HDL, like oxidized LDL, have platelet activating ability and suggest that the native lipoproteins may play a crucial role in preventing the oxidized lipoprotein-mediated platelet activation.

Abstract
An enzyme catalyzing the metabolic reduction of acetohexamide [4-acetyl-N-(cyclohexyl-carbamoyl)benzenesulfonamide], an oral antidiabetic drug, was purified to homogeneity from the cytosolic fraction of rabbit heart. The molecular mass of the purified enzyme was estimated to be 110 kDa by gel filtration and nondenaturing PAGE and 28 kDa by SDS-PAGE, suggesting that the enzyme is composed of four identical-size subunits. 4-Benzoyl-pyridine and p-nitroacetophenone, typical substrates of carbonyl reductase [EC 1.1.1.184], were not reduced by the enzyme. Of drugs with a ketone group tested, only acetohexamide was a good substrate of the enzyme. the enzyme effectively reduced analogs substituted with various alkyl groups instead of the cyclohexyl group in acetohexamide, although it had little or no ability to reduce analogs substituted with various alkyl groups instead of the methyl group in acetohexamide. The enzyme was inhibited not only by quercetin, a well-known inhibitor of carbonyl reductase, but also by phenobarbital, a potent inhibitor of aldehyde reductase [EC 1.1.1.2]. These results indicate that the enzyme purified from rabbit heart is a novel enzyme responsible for the reduction of acetohexamide and its analogs.

Abstract
We analyzed the changes in frequency of bacterial isolates from the blood samples in our department from May 1987 to December 1993. 565 isolates from 4887 samples (11.6%) were detected. Among the detected microorganisms, the rate of gram-positivecocci (GPC) was much higher than the other kinds of the isolates each year. Especially, 80-90% of GPC were occupied by only 2 kinds of microorganisms, coagulase negative Staphylococci (CNS) and S. aureus. Among gram-negative-rods (GNR), constant increase of S. marcescens and transient increase of Enterobacter and P. aeruginosa were recognized. In 30 cases (5.3%), 2-3 kinds of microorganisms were isolated concomitantly, and in 55 cases (9.7%), the microorganisms, which was mainly caused by CNS, S. aureus and Candida, was isolated from both blood samples and the tip of the IVH catheter concomitantly. 42.5% of the bacterial positive cases in 1933 underwent 2 more kinds of the indwelling catheters and 48.3% were administrated antibiotics. Most of the cases had underlying diseases including mainly malignant tumor (leukemia, solid tumor), cerebrovascular diseases, and multiple injuries.

Abstract
The expression of mRNA for the Fas antigen, a membrane-associated protein mediating apoptosis, was localized by in situ hybridization histochemistry in murine brains following 30 min of global cerebral ischemia. Six hours following the ischemia, many labeled cells were detected anew throughout the brain. The hybridization was seen in the small neural cells and in the cells along the walls of the ventricles and vessels, and became undetectable 24 h following the ischemia. These results suggest that the Fas antigen is expressed in the neuron, glia and periventricular cells of the post-ischemic brain.

Abstract
The effect of a polymorphism, guanine (G) to adenine (A) substitution in the promoter of apolipoprotein A-I gene at a position 78 bp upstream of the transcription initiation site, on the serum high-density lipoprotein (HDL)-cholesterol level was studied in 168 Japanese subjects with HDL-cholesterol levels ranging from 26 to 171 mg/dl. Considering the significant effect of cholesteryl ester transfer protein (CETP) on the HDL-cholesterol level and the common occurrence of its deficiency, we performed statistical analyses separately for two groups: one without CETP deficiency (n = 126) and the other with CETP deficiency (n = 42). In the group without CETP deficiency, in which the numbers of G/G, G/A, and A/A genotypes were 92 (73.0%), 28 (22.2%), and 6 (4.8%), respectively, the frequency of the A allele in the subjects with HDL-cholesterol levels of > or = 70 mg/dl did not differ from subjects with HDL-cholesterol levels of < or = 69 mg/dl, irrespective of gender: 0.154 and 0.145 in males, and 0.182 and 0.174 in females, respectively, for the > or = 70 mg/dl and < or = 69 mg/dl groups. Additionally, the HDL-cholesterol levels for the subjects with the G/G genotype did not differ from those for the subjects with the A allele: 64 +/- 22, 58 +/- 14, 77 +/- 14 and 62 +/- 16 mg/dl, respectively, for the G/G, G/A, A/A, and G/A + A/A in males, and 72 +/- 18, 74 +/- 24, 63 +/- 4, and 73 +/- 23 mg/dl in females. For the group with CETP deficiency, in which the numbers of G/G and G/A + A/A genotypes were 25 (59.5%) and 17 (40.5%), the HDL-cholesterol levels also did not differ: 98 +/- 24 mg/dl and 99 +/- 30 mg/dl, respectively, for the G/G and G/A + A/A genotypes. Thus, there is no evidence that the polymorphism has any effect on serum HDL-cholesterol levels regardless of CETP status. We conclude that the G-to-A substitution in the promoter of apolipoprotein A-I gene does not significantly alter serum HDL-cholesterol level.

Abstract
In order to investigate the effect of occlusion on the skin, the flexor sides of both upper arms were covered with column-shaped with column-shaped closed chambers, 30 mm in outer diameter, 20 mm in inner diameter, and 5 mm in height, which were made of polyethylene foam. The tops of the chambers were sealed by plastic films with various levels of water vapor permeability to control moisture in each chamber. The raised chamber walls prevented direct contact between the skin and the plastic film. After 24 h of application, morphological changes of the skin surface were observed microscopically by the nitrocellulose-replica method. Although no visual alterations were found on all areas of occluded skin, microscopic evaluation showed that simple occlusion by films induced an increase in the number of deepened skin furrows on the skin surface. this increase was associated with lower water vapor permeability of the films, as well as with higher values of both temperature and humidity of the test day. Thus, since conditions which facilitate perspiration from the skin tend to cause skin irritation, prolonged exposure of the skin to sweat by simple occlusion may act as a primary skin irritant.

Abstract
Azithromycin (AZM) in 10% fine granules, a newly developed azalide antibiotic, was administered at a standard dose of 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 to 5 days (89.5% received 3 day administration) to children with infectious diseases and the efficacy and the safety of AZM were investigated. In addition AZM concentrations were determined in blood samples from 18 patients and in urine samples from 17 patients to examine o pharmacokinetic characteristics of AZM. 1. Absorption and excretion: Cmax's in 16 patients who received 10 mg/kg and 2 patients who received 20 mg/kg were 0.29 +/- 0.24 micrograms/ml and 0.75 micrograms/ml, respectively, while T 1/2's were 42.0 +/- 11.8 hours for the former and 51.3 hours for the latter. AUC(0 to approximately infinity)'s were 10.72 +/- 5.00 micrograms x hr/ml in the former and 28.83 micrograms x hr/ml in the latter. Urinary concentrations of AZM peaked at 48 to 72 hours after the administration of 10 mg/kg AZM in 14 patients, while it peaked at 24 to 48 hours in the patients who received 20 mg/kg. Urinary recovery rates in the first 120 hours after the start were 9.1 +/- 2.6% for 10 mg/kg and 10.8 +/- 3.4% for 20mg/kg. 2. Clinical efficacy: The study received 619 entries and 564 cases were evaluated for drug efficacy. The remaining were not evaluated because of dropout or exclusion. The efficacy rate, combining both "Excellent" and "Good" cases was 94.3% in 246 cases where pathogens were identified, classified as Group A. The efficacy rate was 90.7% for the remaining 321 cases, classified as Group B, where causative pathogens were unidentified. The difference between the two groups was no statistical significance. The combined efficacy rate was 92.2%. For the 116 cases where the patients had failed to respond to previous chemotherapies instituted for 3 days or longer, the efficacy rate for AZM was 94.0%. 3. Adverse reactions and abnormal laboratory tests: Incidents of diarrhea, soft stool, skin rashes, or vomiting were found in 15 patients (2.5%) of 596 cases eligible for evaluation. These reactions, however, were all transient and mild to moderate in severity in the 15 patients including 4 patients for whom the treatment was discontinued, all resolved in time. Abnormal changes in laboratory tests were found as follows: decrease in WBC in 23 patients (5.6%), increase in eosinophils in 28 (7.1%), increase in platelet count in 2 (0.5%), decrease in platelet count in 1 (0.3%), elevation of GOT in 3 (0.8%), and elevation of GPT in 6 (1.6%).(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 400 WORDS)

Abstract
A case of congestive heart failure in a neonate resulting from a congenital abdominal arteriovenous fistula is described; an aneurysm of the ductus arteriosus was also found in the patient. Abdominal aortography was performed and demonstrated dilated feeding arteries, including the hypogastric arteries, which communicated with a dilated umbilical vein. Ligation of the feeding arteries and the umbilical vein led to resolution of the heart failure. Transient liver dysfunction occurred, however. Symptoms improved dramatically upon removal of the ligature from the umbilical vein. Although there is one previous report of an arteriovenous fistula involving the umbilical vein, we know of no prior report of a congenital arteriovenous fistula in association with a ductus arteriosus aneurysm.

Abstract
Azithromycin (AZM) in 100 mg capsules, a newly developed azalide antibiotic, was administered at a standard dose of 10 mg/kg once daily for 3 to 5 days (89.9% received 3 day administration) to children with infectious diseases and the efficacy and the safety of AZM were investigated. In addition, AZM concentrations were determined in blood samples from 9 patients and in urine samples from 12 patients to examine pharmacokinetic characteristics of AZM. 1. Absorption and excretion: Cmax was 0.45 +/- 0.28 micrograms/ml, T 1/2 was 52.7 +/- 20.2 hours, and AUC(0 approximately to infinity) was 12.09 +/- 4.93 micrograms.hr/ml in the 9 patients each of whom received 8.5 to 14.3 mg/kg AZM. Urinary concentrations of AZM peaked at 48 to 72 hours after the administration of 8.5 to 14.7 mg/kg AZM in 12 patients and the average urinary recovery rate in 120 hours was 7.3 +/- 2.8%. 2. Clinical efficacy: The study received 139 entries and 119 cases were evaluated for drug efficacy. The remaining were not evaluated because of dropout or exclusion. The efficacy rate combining both "Excellent" and "Good" cases, was 100% for 40 cases in which pathogens were identified, classified as Group A. The efficacy rate was 97.5% for the remaining 79 cases, classified as Group B, where causative pathogens were unidentified. The difference between the two groups was no statistical significance. The combined efficacy rate was 98.3%. For the 31 cases where the patients had failed to respond to the previous chemotherapies instituted for 3 days or longer, the efficacy rate for AZM was 93.5%. 3. Adverse reactions and abnormal laboratory tests: 8 incidents of diarrhea, skin rashes, urticaria, or vomiting were found in 7 patients (5.4%) of 130 cases eligible for evaluation. These reactions, however, were all transient and mild to moderate in severity in the 7 patients including 2 patients for whom the treatment was discontinued, all resolved in time. Abnormal changes in laboratory tests were found as follows: decrease in WBC in 10 patients (9.3%), an increase in eosinophils in 12 (11.4%), an increase in platelet count in 1 (1.0%), an elevation of GOT in 3 (3.1%), an elevation of GPT in 6 (6.2%), and an elevation of LDH in 1 (1.1%). The abnormalities were transient and did not require particular intervention. Abstract
A case of an 81-year-old man with Fournier's gangrene was reported. The patient visited our hospital complaining of scrotal swelling and redness. Perirectal abscess was found and ultrasound study revealed thickness of scrotal skin and normal testes. The patient was immediately treated with antibiotics, incision and debridement of the scrotal skin. The lesion healed 8 weeks later.

Abstract
A 38-year-old man was found to have an abnormal shadow in his chest X-ray film during a general medical examination. A nodule with a homogeneous density and a clear margin was seen in the upper lobe of the right lung. Since this shadow gradually enlarged during a five-year follow-up period, he was admitted to our hospital. Chest contrast and dynamic CT scans and aortography showed characteristics of a benign tumor with somewhat rich vascularity. The doubling time of this tumor was about 430 days. Transbronchial brushing for cytologic study and a transbronchial biopsy showed no malignancy. However, the tumor was surgically resected because of its gradual growth over the five years. The resected tumor was histologically diagnosed as a benign clear cell tumor of the lung. This disease was first described by Leibow and Castleman in 1963, as a benign pulmonary tumor similar to metastatic renal cell carcinoma. This disease is extremely rare and only 61 cases have been reported: twenty cases, including the present case, in Japan and 41 in other countries.

Abstract
The role of glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and proteoglycans during cementogenesis is not known. In this study, we have analysed the temporal and spacial expression of GAGs in the cellular cementum of 10-30 weeks old rats, immunohistochemically using monoclonal antibodies 2B6 and 3B3, specific for chondroitin 4-sulfate/dermatan sulfate and chondroitin 6-sulfate, respectively. Both 2B6- and 3B3-epitopes were expressed at similar position and time in the rat cellular cementum. Two types of cellular cementum were identified; GAG-positive and GAG-negative cementum. The former corresponded to the lightly stained and the latter to the darkly stained cementum in sections stained with haematoxylin and eosin. The GAG-positive cementum was seen at the distal side of dentine surface and appeared most thick at, middle of the apical half roots, whereas the other parts of the cementum were the GAG-negative. Distribution of GAG-positive cementum showed changes with age of animals. In 10-15 week old rats, the GAG-positive cementum occupied most of the cementum layer, covering a thin layer of the GAG-negative cementum. The cellular cementum of 20-30 week old rats consisted of three layers; GAG-negative, GAG-positive and GAG-negative cementum from dentine to cementum surface, reducing the GAG-positive area. Because our previous study has demonstrated that the lightly stained cementum is uncalcified, the present result suggests a correlation between calcification and contents of GAGs in the cellular cementum. Further, time- and position-specific expression of GAGs indicates their relation to the physiological tooth movement, which has been known in the rat molars.

Abstract
A case of squamous cell carcinoma of ureter is presented. A 64-year-old male suffering from right lower abdominal pain and gross hematuria visited our hospital. Right hydronephrosis was found by ultrasound examination. Intravenous pyelography revealed a right non-functioning kidney. Abdominal computed tomographic scanning showed right hydroureteronephrosis and a soft-tissue density mass in the right lower ureter. Retrograde pyelography demonstrated a filling defect in the right lower ureter. Squamous cell carcinoma was suspected by cytological examination. On the basis of the above findings, right nephroureterectomy with partial cystectomy was performed. Pathohistological diagnosis was squamous cell carcinoma of the ureter, G3, INF gamma, pT3, pR0, pL1, pV1, pN1. No evidence of either tumor recurrence or metastasis was found for 6 months after the operation. Sixty-one cases of primary ureteral squamous cell carcinoma, including our case, were collected from the Japanese literature and characteristic clinical features of the tumor are discussed.

Abstract
Distribution of gap junction protein in maxillary tooth germs of 1-day-old rats was examined by immunohistochemistry, using an affinity-purified antibody specific to residues 360-376 of rat connexin (CX) 43. In 1-day-old rats, the maxillary second molar formed the shape of the cusp, but neither dentine nor enamel was formed between the cells of the dental papilla and the inner enamel epithelium. In the tooth germ, CX 43 was expressed in the cells of the stratum intermedium and the inner enamel epithelium. Labelling in the stratum intermedium was extensive and showed an increasing gradient from peripheral to cuspal regions. CX 43 detected in the inner enamel epithelium was at cell surfaces facing the interface between the dental papilla and the inner enamel epithelium. The cells of the dental papilla and the inner enamel epithelium began differentiation as odontoblasts and secretory ameloblasts respectively, in the cusps of the first molars, where predentine and dentine were formed but enamel matrix was not secreted. CX 43 was present in the stratum intermedium, inner enamel epithelium, preodontoblasts, odontoblasts and subodontoblasts. The incisors showed the most advanced stage of development, where the enamel matrix and calcified dentine were formed in the labial part of the teeth. The CX 43 epitope was seen in the stratum intermedium, inner enamel epithelium, preameloblasts, preodontoblasts, odontoblasts, and subodontoblasts. Immunolabelling was more extensive in the stratum intermedium and subodontoblasts than in preameloblasts, preodontoblasts, and odontoblasts. The immunolabelling in preameloblasts and predontoblasts was accumulated at cell surfaces facing the predentine.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)
