Abstract
An atom economic approach from readily available propargylic alcohols to allenes, the first carboxylation of propargylic alcohols, has been established. Through the cooperative binary catalysis of Pd and a phosphoric acid, the reaction afforded multi-substituted allenoates with a broad scope tolerating useful functional groups. The synthetic potential of the obtained products has been demonstrated.

Abstract
A robust synthesis of allenoates via a Pd-catalyzed β-hydride elimination of (E)-enol triflates is presented. Salient features of this method include low catalyst loadings, mild reaction conditions, and the ability to access all four patterns of substituted allenoates from a single substrate class.

Abstract
Herein we report a rationally designed, serial point-to-axial and axial-to-point stereoinduction and its integration into multi-step and target-oriented organic synthesis. In this proof-of-concept study, the configurational stability of several carefully designed atropisomeric intermediates and the fidelity of their unconventional stereoinductions were systematically investigated. The highly functionalized prepared synthetic intermediate was further applied in a novel chemical method to access the morphinans and it is potentially applicable to other structurally related alkaloids.

Abstract
Intramolecular chirality transfer [2 + 2] cycloaddition of enantiomerically enriched allenoates and alkenes is presented. The use of a chiral catalyst was found to be critical to achieve high levels of diastereoselectivity compared to use of an achiral catalyst. The method developed leads to highly substituted cyclobutanes that would be difficult to prepare by alternative methods.

Abstract
We explore the breadth of the copper catalysed functionalisation of allenes, which enables efficient access to enantioenriched, densely functionalised molecules.
The direct functionalisation of allenes under copper catalysis enables efficient access to enantioenriched, densely functionalised molecules. In this review we explore the breadth and depth of a versatile reaction manifold, which involves the element-cupration of allenes to generate allyl copper intermediates that are subsequently coupled with diverse arrays of electrophiles.

Abstract
An efficient organocatalytic reaction using 1,3-nitro enynes with 4-hydroxycoumarin and 4-hydroxy-6-methyl-2-pyrone to afford pyrano-annulated scaffolds in high yield (up to 88% yield) and excellent stereoselectivities (up to >20:1 dr and >99% ee) is described. The reaction proceeded through sequential conjugate addition, allene formation, intramolecular oxa-Michael 6-endo-dig cyclization and DABCO-catalyzed olefin isomerization. A kinetic profile for isomerization was established. The mechanism for the organocascade reaction was proposed according to requisite computational and mechanistic experimental studies.

Abstract
An enantiospecific approach to the synthesis of optically active, trisubstituted allenes from chiral propargylic benzoates and arylboronic acids has been developed. The transformation is catalyzed by a Rh-(P,olefin) complex formed in situ from [{Rh(cod)Cl}2] and a readily available phosphoramidite ligand. The method furnishes an assortment of diverse allenes in high yields and excellent enantiospecificity under mild conditions.
