Abstract
A collection of smart multicomponent reactions (MCRs) with continuative post condensation cyclizations (PCCs) is presented to construct conventional three- to seven-membered heterocyclic compounds in diversity oriented syntheses (DOS). These will provide a high degree of applying economical and ecological advantages as well as of practicability. Water, ionic liquids, and solvent-less syntheses as well as use of various forms of energy as microwave and ultrasonic irradiation are examined and discussed.

Abstract
A multicomponent reaction of 3-aminopyrazol-5-ones with substituted salicylic aldehydes and acetylacetic ester leading to the formation of novel 2,3-dihydrochromeno[4,3-d]pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridine-1,6-diones was discovered. The elucidation of the reaction scope revealed that 5-aminopyrazoles, 3-amino-1,2,4-triazoles and 6-aminouracil could be used as the heterocyclic amine component. Selected heterocyclic products were found to possess notable antibacterial activities.

Abstract
α-Amino acids react with aldehydes in the presence of a cyanide source to form α-amino nitriles in what can be considered a decarboxylative variant of the classical Strecker reaction. This unprecedented transformation does not require the use of a metal catalyst and provides facile access to valuable α-amino nitriles that are inaccessible by traditional Strecker chemistry.

Abstract
α-Aminophosphonates are bioisosteres of amino acids and have several pharmacological activities. These compounds have been synthesized by various routes from reaction between amine, aldehyde, and phosphite compounds. In order to synthesize α-aminophosphonates, catalytic effect of CuCl2 was compared with FeCl3. Also all designed structures as well as griseofulvin were docked into the active site of microtubule (1JFF), using Autodock program. The results showed that the reactions were carried out in the presence of CuCl2 in lower yields, and also the time of reaction was longer in comparison with FeCl3. The chemical structures of the new compounds were confirmed by spectral analyses. The compounds were investigated for antifungal activity against several fungi in comparison with griseofulvin. An indole-derived bis(α-aminophosphonates) with the best negative ΔG in docking study showed maximum antifungal activity against Microsporum canis, and other investigated compounds did not have a good antifungal activity.

An efficient synthesis of dialkyl 2-(alkylamino)-5,6-dioxo-4a,7-diphenyl-4,4a,5,6-tetrahydrocyclopenta[b]pyran-3,4-dicarboxylates from one-pot three-component reaction of the zwitterions generated from dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylates and alkyl isocyanides with 3,5-diphenylcyclopentane-1,2,4-trione is described.
