Abstract
A highly enantioselective addition of arylboronic acids to cyclic α-ketiminophosphonates is reported using a chiral palladium phosphinooxazoline catalyst, providing an efficient and facile route to quaternary α-aminophosphonates in high yields and up to 99.9% enantioselectivity.

Abstract
The first cross-coupling of secondary alkyl β-trifluoroboratoketones and -esters has been achieved through application of photoredox/nickel dual catalysis. Although the related β-trifluoroboratoamides have been effectively cross-coupled via Pd-catalysis, the corresponding ketones and esters had proven recalcitrant prior to this report. Reactions occur under mild conditions, and a variety of functional groups and sterically and electronically diverse reaction partners are tolerated.

Abstract
A novel terminal olefin-oxazoline ligand was introduced into rhodium-catalyzed asymmetric conjugate addition of arylboronic acids to enones and gave excellent enantioselectivities. The two phenyls proved better than one or three in ligand evaluations.

Abstract
Rh(i)-catalysed reactions often employ mild reaction conditions and offer excellent functional group tolerance, making them ideal transformations for the preparation of complex molecules. This review surveys examples of these synthetically useful transformations as applied to the synthesis of various heterocycles.

Abstract
A highly enantioselective copper/N-heterocyclic carbene catalyzed allylic arylation with organolithium compounds is presented. The use of commercial or readily prepared aryllithium reagents in the reaction with allyl bromides affords a variety of chiral diarylvinylmethanes, comprising a privileged structural motif in pharmaceuticals, in high yields with good to excellent regio- and enantioselectivities. The versatility of this new transformation is illustrated in the formal synthesis of the marketed drug tolterodine (Detrol).

Abstract
Cyclobutadiene rhodium complexes bear high potential for applications in organometallic synthesis and catalysis. We have found that the cyclobutadiene complexes with substitutionally labile p-xylene ligands [(C4 R4 )Rh(p-xylene)](+) can be synthesized in one step from the commercially available bis(ethylene) complex [{(C2 H4 )2 RhCl}2 ], p-xylene, and internal alkynes. The replacement of p-xylene by various ligands provides a general access to other [(C4 R4 )Rh] compounds, such as [(C4 R4 )RhCl]x , [(C4 R4 )RhL3 ](+) , [(C4 R4 )Rh(C5 H5 )], and [(C4 R4 )Rh(arene)](+) . Complex [(C4 Et4 )Rh(p-xylene)](+) also catalyzes an unusual cycloisomerization of a 1,11-dien-6-yne into a bicyclic diene.

Abstract
The selective synthesis of 2,6-trans-tetrahydropyran derivatives employing the rhodium catalysed addition of organoboron reagents to dihydropyranone templates, derived from a zinc-catalysed hetero-Diels-Alder reaction, is reported. The addition of both arylboronic acids and potassium alkenyltrifluoroborates have been accomplished in high yields using commercially-available [Rh(cod)(OH)]2 catalyst. The selective formation of the 2,6-trans-tetrahydropyran stereoisomer is consistent with a mechanism involving alkene association and carbometalation on the less hindered face of the dihydropyranone.

Abstract
A unique rhodium(I)-catalyzed asymmetric B-H insertion of α-diazo carbonyl compounds with easily available amine-borane adducts was achieved using a newly developed C1-symmetric chiral diene as ligand. This first Rh(I)-carbene-directed B-H insertion example represents an attractive and promising approach for synthesis of highly enantioenriched organoboron compounds, allowing for the efficient construction of α-boryl esters and ketones with excellent enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee) under exceptionally mild conditions.
