Abstract
Access to enantioenriched tertiary and quaternary α-chiral allysilanes without any transition-metal catalyst is reported. This was achieved by enantioselective allylic displacement of γ-silylated allylic bromides through Lewis base activation of Grignard reagents by a bidentate chiral NHC ligand. The process afforded both high γ-regio- and enantioselectivity and is compatible with a wide range of silyl groups on the substrates.

Abstract
![]()
An efficient catalytic
propargylation of CoQ0 is described by employing
the cooperative effect of Sc(OTf)3 and Hantzsch ester.
It is suggested to work through the redox chain reaction, which involves
hydroquinone and dimeric propargylic moiety intermediates. A broad
range of propargylic alcohols can be converted into the appropriate
derivatives of CoQ0 containing triple bonds in good to excellent yields.
The mechanism of the given transformation is also discussed.

Abstract
π-Allylpalladium complexes can not only serve as electrophilic allylating agents for a broad range of nucleophiles, but also nucleophilic allylating agents for electrophiles depending on their electronic environments. In contrast to these typical reactivities of π-allylpalladium complexes, silylated and borylated π-allylpalladium species show unique reactivities that can allow versatile transformations in addition to simple allylation. Herein, four different types of transformations that are in principle achieved via the inherently reactive silylated and borylated π-allylpalladium species as common intermediates are described. An appropriate selection of ligands of the silylated and borylated π-allylpalladium species can allow control over the reaction pathways.

Abstract
A series of cross-conjugated compounds based on an (E)-4,4'-(hexa-3-en-1,5-diyne-3,4-diyl)bis(N,N-bis(4-methoxyphenyl)aniline) skeleton (1-6) have been synthesized. The linear optical absorption properties can be tuned by modification of the substituents at the 1 and 5 positions of the hexa-3-en-1,5-diynyl backbone (1: Si(CH(CH3)2)3, 2: C6H4C≡CSi(CH3)3, 3: C6H4COOCH3, 4: C6H4CF3, 5: C6H4C≡N, 6: C6H4C≡CC5H4N), although attempts to introduce electron-donating (C6H4CH3, C6H4OCH3, C6H4Si(CH3)3) substituents at these positions were hampered by the ensuing decreased stability of the compounds. Spectroelectrochemical investigations of selected examples, supported by DFT-based computational studies, have shown that one- and two-electron oxidation of the 1,2-bis(triarylamine)ethene fragment also results in electronic changes to the perpendicular π-system in the hexa-3-en-1,5-diynyl branch of the molecule. These properties suggest that (E)-hexa-3-en-1,5-diynyl-based compounds could have applications in molecular sensing and molecular electronics.

Abstract
A palladium-catalyzed chemo- and regioselective coupling of 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds via an allylic linker has been developed. This reaction, which displays broad substrate scope, forms two C-C bonds and installs two all-carbon quaternary centers. The regioselectivity of the reaction can be predictably controlled by utilizing an enol carbonate of one of the coupling partners.

Abstract
Propargyl acetates reacted with norbornene in the presence of a catalytic amount of tetrakis(tripheylphosphine)palladium to give cyclopropyl ketones. The reaction proceeded with high stereoselectivity, affording a single stereoisomer. The reaction of various substituted norbornenes gave the corresponding cyclopropanes in moderate to good yields.

Abstract
Palladium is shown to catalyze an intramolecular aminocyclopropanation of norbornenes with aliphatic vinyl halides in good yields. The reaction tolerates a variety of amine substituents and gives good results with a variety of carbocyclic and oxabicyclic [2.2.1] alkene acceptors. Notably, stabilized enolate nucleophiles were also employed in cyclopropanation reactions.
