Abstract
A two-step protocol for the conversion of alkyl-substituted alkynes to 1,3-enynes is reported. In this α-methenylation process, an iron-catalyzed propargylic C-H functionalization delivers tetramethylpiperidine-derived homopropargylic amines which undergo facile Cope elimination upon N-oxidation to afford the enyne products. A range of aryl alkyl and dialkyl acetylenes were found to be suitable substrates for this process, which constitutes an alkyne analogue for the Eschenmoser methenylation of carbonyl derivatives. In addition, a new bench-stable precatalyst for iron-catalyzed propargylic C-H functionalization is reported.

Abstract
Using Zn(OTf)2 as catalyst, a highly regio- and chemo-selective cyclocarboamination of o-alkynylbenzaldehydes with tertiary alkyl primary amines was realized to access 3-aminoindenes with different substitution patterns from previously reported methods. The full reduction of the iminoindenone intermediates affords cis-1-amino-2-arylindanes with excellent diastereoselectivity. Mechanistically, the reaction involves the rearrangement of 1-amino-3-arylidene-isoindolines and isomerization of 1-aminoindenes to 3-aminoindenes.

Abstract
Alkenes and their derivatives are featured widely in a variety of natural products, pharmaceuticals, and advanced materials. Significant efforts have been made toward the development of new and practical methods to access this important class of compounds by selectively activating the alkenyl C(sp2)-H bonds in recent years. In this comprehensive review, we describe the state-of-the-art strategies for the direct functionalization of alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bonds until June 2022. Moreover, metal-free, photoredox, and electrochemical strategies are also covered. For clarity, this review has been divided into two parts; the first part focuses on currently available alkenyl sp2 C-H functionalization methods using different alkene derivatives as the starting materials, and the second part describes the alkenyl sp2 C-F bond functionalization using easily accessible gem-difluoroalkenes as the starting material. This review includes the scope, limitations, mechanistic studies, stereoselective control (using directing groups as well as metal-migration strategies), and their applications to complex molecule synthesis where appropriate. Overall, this comprehensive review aims to document the considerable advancements, current status, and emerging work by critically summarizing the contributions of researchers working in this fascinating area and is expected to stimulate novel, innovative, and broadly applicable strategies for alkenyl sp2 C-H and C-F bond functionalizations in the coming years.

Abstract
Different Lewis acid promotor-steered highly regioselective phosphorylation of tertiary enamides with diverse H-phosphonates or H-phosphine oxides was developed. Under the catalysis of iron salt, the phosphonyl group was introduced into the α-position of tertiary enamides, affording various α-phosphorylated amides in high efficiency. On the other hand, the β-phosphorylated tertiary enamides were efficiently obtained as the products in the presence of manganese(III) acetylacetonate.

Abstract
A concise manganese(III)-promoted stereoselective β-phosphorylation of acyclic tertiary enamides and diverse H-phosphine oxides was achieved. This reaction proceeds with absolute E-selectivity in contrast to Z-selectivity obtained in other previous works and affords various E-selective β-phosphorylated tertiary enamides in high efficiency. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first case of E-selective β-phosphorylation of tertiary enamides through C-H functionalization. In addition, the method features broad substrate scope, good functional group compatibility and efficient scale-up.

Abstract
A direct and straightforward thiocyanation of enamides with NH4SCN under metal-free conditions has been accomplished. A variety of (E)-β-thiocyanoenamides are readily produced in a regio- and stereo-selective manner. The protocol features mild reaction conditions, good functional group tolerance and operational simplicity. The potential utility of this strategy was further demonstrated by transformation of thiocyanate into thiotetrazole-containing compounds and a Pd-catalyzed cross-coupling reaction to afford six- or seven-membered sulfur-containing heterocycles. Mechanistic insights into the reaction indicate that the reaction may proceed via a radical mechanism.

Abstract
Direct access to gem-diethynylethenes is achieved by a Ni-catalyzed 3,3-dialkynylation of 2-aryl acrylamides with 1-bromotriisopropylsilylacetylene. The preliminary mechanism study reveals that the reaction goes through a sequential double vinylic C-H bond activation with the assistance of an 8-aminoquinolinyl directing group.

Abstract
We report herein a mild procedure for the copper-catalyzed oxidative cross-coupling of electron-deficient polyfluorophenylboronate esters with terminal alkynes. This method displays good functional group tolerance and broad substrate scope, generating cross-coupled alkynyl(fluoro)arene products in moderate to excellent yields. Thus, it represents a simple alternative to the conventional Sonogashira reaction.

Abstract
A convenient and efficient vicinal oxyalkynylation/aminoalkynylation of internal unactivated alkenes is achieved by means of a Cu-catalyzed radical cascade reaction of unsaturated ketoximes with ethynylbenziodoxolone (EBX) reagents. This protocol enables the synthesis of structurally valuable isoxazolines or cyclic nitrones and the introduction of an important alkyne group in a single operation. The reaction is characterized by a broad substrate scope for both unsaturated ketoximes and alkynylation reagents and a low catalyst loading.

Abstract
Palladium-catalyzed intermolecular alkylation of enamides with α-bromo carbonyls was developed. Under mild reaction conditions, various cyclic and acyclic enamides reacted well with α-bromo carbonyls to afford the corresponding multi-substituted alkene products in good yields. The coupling products could be converted into very useful γ-amino acid, δ-amino alcohol, 1,4-dicarbonyl and γ-lactam derivatives.

Abstract
Sulfoxides are capable of forming stable complexes with transition metals and there have been many comprehensive studies into their binding properties. However, the use of sulfoxides, particularly chiral sulfoxides, as ligands in transition metal catalysis is rather less well developed. This review aims to describe these catalytic studies and covers new developments that are showing very promising results and that have led to a renewed interest in this field.

Abstract
A Rh(iii)-catalyzed regioselective C–H alkenylation and alkynylation of indolines is described. This protocol relies on the use of a removable pyridinyl directing group to access valuable C-7 functionalized indoline scaffolds with ample substrate scope and broad functional group tolerance.
