Abstract
An environmentally friendly electrochemical strategy for the synthesis of SCF3-containing oxindoles was developed. This electrochemical transformation was accomplished through a cascade trifluoromethylthiolation/cyclization of N-acrylamides with AgSCF3, obviating the requirement for external oxidants. A variety of functional groups were well tolerated in this transformation.

Abstract
An efficient and practical method for the synthesis of 3-alkenylquinoxalinones containing the SCF3 group has been readily developed through a three-component radical cascade reaction involving quinoxalinones, alkynes and AgSCF3. The reaction was found to be compatible with a variety of substrates and exhibited a high functional group tolerance and complete E-selectivity. The preliminary study suggests the involvement of a SCF3 radical in the transformation.

Development of an Atomic-Oxygen-Erosion-Resistant, Alumina-Fiber-Reinforced, Fluorinated Polybenzoxazine Composite for Low-Earth Orbital Applications. Polymers (Basel) 2022; 15:polym15010112. Abstract
An atomic-oxygen-erosion-resistant fluorinated benzoxazine resin and composite were developed. The benzoxazine resin, abbreviated as “BAF-oda-fu,” consists of four benzoxazine rings, and was synthesized from bisphenol AF (BAF), 4,4′-oxydianiline (oda), furfurylamine (fu), and paraformaldehyde. The resin was characterized by infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy (1H NMR), differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). An analysis of the solvent-washed product showed a technical grade purity (>95%) and a yield of approximately 85%. Subsequent polymerization of the resin was successfully performed by heating step-wise and opening the benzoxazine rings to form a crosslinked network. Thermal analyses showed a melting temperature of 115 °C and polymerization temperature of 238 °C, both being characteristic values of benzoxazine monomers. The benzoxazine resin was also blended with polyoctahedral sisesquoxane (POSS) and reinforced with alumina fibers. The Tg of the resin, as determined by DMA of the composite, could reach as high as 308 °C when post-curing and the POSS additive were utilized. The low-Earth orbit atomic-oxygen erosion rate was simulated by an RF plasma asher/etcher. The atomic-oxygen resistance of poly(BAF-oda-fu) fell along an established trend line based on its fluorine content.

Abstract
:
A simple, efficient and green protocol has been developed for the synthesis of polysubstituted dihydropyridines
via one-pot, four-component reaction of aldehydes, arylamines, dialkyl acetylenedicarboxylate, and malononitrile. The reaction was proceeded at room temperature in the absence of catalyst in aqueous ethyl lactate under visible light irradiation.
The main advantages of the present approach are mild reaction condition, high yield, no column chromatography, clean
reaction profile, environmentally friendly and sustainable from the economic point of view

Abstract
Tf2NH-assisted BINAM-derived thiophosphoramide catalysis has been accomplished for the enantioselective oxysulfenylation of o-vinylanilides with N-(aryl/alkylthio)imides. The developed reaction offers access to diverse substituted aryl/alkylthio tethered 3,1-benzoxazines in excellent yields and enantiomeric ratios. Furthermore, synthetic applications of benzoxazines and aryl/alkylthio moieties and a transition state model for the observed enantioselectivity are also discussed.

Abstract
A magnetic CdS quantum dot (Fe3 O4 /polydopamine (PDA)/CdS) was synthesized through a facile and convenient method from inexpensive starting materials. Characterization of the prepared catalyst was performed by means of FTIR spectroscopy, XRD, SEM, TEM, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, and vibrating-sample magnetometer techniques. Fe3 O4 /PDA/CdS was found to be a highly active photocatalyst for the amidation of aromatic aldehydes by using air as a clean oxidant under mild conditions. The photocatalyst can be recovered by magnetic separation and successfully reused for five cycles without considerable loss of its catalytic activity.

Abstract
Herein, we report a new, efficient and atom-economical strategy for the synthesis of SCF3-substituted tryptanthrin derivatives. These previously unreported derivatives were obtained by means of a radical tandem cyclization. The reaction was triggered by addition of a SCF3 radical to a carbon-carbon double bond and involved the formation of a C(sp3)-SCF3 bond, a C(sp2)-C bond, and a C(sp2)-N bond. This method has mild conditions and a wide range of substrates which is particularly useful for the preparation of substituted indolquinazoline derivatives that widely exist in many natural products, but are not easy to obtain by conventional approaches.
