Abstract
Bimetallic synergistic catalysis is one of the most effective and powerful strategies for the synthesis of oxazolones, an important species in organic synthesis. In this work, the mechanism of AuCl(PMe3)/AgOTf-Pd(0) ([Au-Pd]) bimetallic catalyst-catalyzed oxazolone synthesis using N-alkynyl carbamates as precursors was studied in detail by DFT calculations and the catalytic performances of a series of bimetallic catalysts were evaluated. The results show that the reaction begins from the [Au]-catalyzed cycloisomerization of N-alkynyl carbamates. After the five-membered intermediate is formed, the [Pd(0)]-catalyzed cycle starts, which contains three steps: oxidation addition, transmetalation, and reductive elimination. The whole reaction belongs to a catalyzed catalysis, and the reductive elimination is the rate-determining step. In the transmetalation process, both the [Pd(0)] catalyst and the ionic bridge are necessary. For the [Au-Pd]-catalyzed process, it is Cl- as the bridge, not OTf-. The cheaper metal compound, AgCl(PMe3), can serve as the alternative of AuCl(PMe3) to co-catalyze with the [Pd(0)] catalyst for the title reaction.

Abstract
Mn(I) C-H functionalization of coumarins provides a versatile and practical method for the rapid assembly of fused polycyclic pyridinium-containing coumarins in a regioselective manner. The synthetic strategy enables application of bench-stable organomanganese reagents in both photochemical- and thermal-promoted reactions. The cyclomanganated intermediates, and global reaction system, provide an ideal testing ground for structural characterization of the active Mn(I) carbonyl-containing species, including transient species observable by ultra-fast time-resolved spectroscopic methods. The thermodynamic reductive elimination product, solely encountered from reaction between alkynes and air-stable organometallic cyclomanganated coumarins, has enabled characterization of a critical seven-membered Mn(I) intermediate, detected by time-resolved infrared spectroscopy, enabling the elucidation of the temporal profile of key steps in the reductive elimination pathway. Quantitative data are provided. Manganated polycyclic products are readily decomplexed by AgBF4 , opening-up an efficient route to the formation of π-extended hybrid coumarin-pyridinium compounds.

Abstract
A robust method for the selective labeling of peptides via manganese(I) catalysis was devised to achieve the C-2 alkenylation of tryptophan containing peptides with 1-ethynyl-o-carboranes. The manganese-catalyzed C-H activation was accomplished with high catalytic efficiency, and featured low toxicity, high functional group tolerance and excellent E-stereoselectivity. This approach unravels a promising tool for the assembly of o-carborane with structurally complex peptides of relevance to applications in boron neutron capture therapy.

Abstract
An unprecedented Mn(I)-catalyzed selective hydroarylation and hydroalkenylation of unsaturated amides with commercially available organic boronic acids is reported. Alkenyl boronic acids have been successfully employed for the first time in Mn(I)-catalyzed carbon-carbon bond formation. A wide array of β-alkenylated amide products can be obtained in moderate to good yields, which offers practical access to five- and six-membered lactams. This protocol has predictable regio- and chemoselectivity, excellent functional group compatibility and ease of operation in air, representing a significant step-forward towards manganese-catalyzed C-C coupling.

Abstract
A strategy for the synthesis of isoxazolidine/1,2-oxazinane-fused isoquinolin-1(2H)-ones from alkyne-tethered N-alkoxyamides is described, in which cheap Mn(acac)2 is used as a catalyst to facilitate a radical cascade annulation. The method features mild conditions, additive-free reaction and broad substrate scope. It is the first example via manganese/air catalytic systems to construct isoquinolin-1(2H)-one heterocycles.

Abstract
Bioorthogonal C-H allylation with ample scope was accomplished through a versatile manganese(I)-catalyzed C-H activation for the late-stage diversification of structurally complex peptides. The unique robustness of the manganese(I) catalysis manifold was reflected by full tolerance of sensitive functional groups, such as iodides, esters, amides, and OH-free hydroxy groups, thereby setting the stage for the racemization-free synthesis of C-H fused peptide hybrids featuring steroids, drug molecules, natural products, nucleobases, and saccharides.

Abstract
The transition-metal-catalyzed selective hydroarylation of unsymmetrical alkynes represents the state-of-art in organic chemistry, and still mainly relies on the use of precious late-transition-metal catalysts. Reported herein is an unprecedented MnI -catalyzed hydroarylation of unsymmetrical 1,3-diyne alcohols with commercially available arylboronic acids with predictive selectivity. This method addresses the challenges in regio-, stereo-, and chemoselectivity. It offers a general, convenient and practical strategy for the modular synthesis of multisubstituted Z-configurated conjugated enynes. This protocol is distinguished by its operational simplicity, complete selectivity, excellent functional-group compatibility, and gram-scale potential. A dimeric MnI species, Mn2 (CO)8 Br2 , was proven to be a much more efficient catalyst precursor than Mn(CO)5 Br.

Abstract
Manganese photocatalysts enabled versatile room-temperature C-H arylation reactions by means of continuous visible-light photoflow, thus allowing for efficient C-H arylations in 30 minutes with ample scope. The robustness of the manganese-catalyzed photoflow strategy was shown by visible light-induced gram-scale synthesis, clearly outperforming the batch performance.

Abstract
Heteroarenes are important structural motif in functional molecules. A MnI -catalyzed 1,2-diheteroarylation of allenes via a C-H activation/Smiles rearrangement cascade is presented. The reaction occurred under additive-free or even solvent-free conditions, which allowed the creation of two C-C and one C-N bonds in a single operation. A series of structurally diverse bicyclic or tricyclic compounds bearing an exocyclic double bond were constructed in good to excellent efficiency. The decarboxylative ring-opening of the products led to the facile synthesis of vicinal biheteroaryls. Synthetic applications were demonstrated and preliminary mechanistic studies were conducted.

Abstract
In this study, a MnI /AgI -based relay catalysis process is described for the one-pot synthesis of polycyclic products by a formal [3+2] and [4+2] cycloaddition reaction cascade. A manganese(I) complex catalyzed the first example of directed C-H allylation with allenes, setting the stage for an in situ Povarov cyclization catalyzed by silver(I). The reaction proceeds with high bond-forming efficiency (three C-C bonds), broad substrate scope, high regio- and stereoselectivity, and 100 % atom economy.
