Abstract
A highly diastereoselective synthesis of spiroisoindolinones from enamides and 3-hydroxy-isoindolinones is reported. The reaction proceeds rapidly in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid as a Brønsted acid catalyst and affords a variety of densely substituted spiroisoindolinones with three contiguous stereogenic centers in high yields (≤98%) and diastereoselectivities (up to dr >98:<2:0:0).

Abstract
An efficient and practical route for the synthesis of β-amino sulfides by Lewis acid-mediated electrophilic thiolative difunctionalization of enimides is disclosed. A series of free phenols, electron-rich arene, alcohol, azide, and hydride, are successfully incorporated into the substrates in high regio- and stereoselectivities under mild conditions. The obtained products possess multiple functional groups and can be easily transformed to other valuable molecules.

Abstract
A highly diastereoselective one-pot synthesis of the 1,3-diamino-2-alcohol unit bearing three continuous stereocenters is described. This method utilizes 2-oxyenamides as a novel type of building block for the rapid assembly of the 1,3-diamine scaffold containing an additional stereogenic oxygen functionality at the C2 position. A stereoselective preparation of the required (Z)-oxyenamides is reported as well.

Abstract
An efficient protocol for the construction of structurally diverse 2-pyridone derivatives from imines and α,β-unsaturated acid chlorides in a single operation is reported. The target compounds, including coumarin-8-oxoprotoberbine analogues and lamellarin G isomers, were prepared via thermal cyclization of the in situ generated enamides followed by thermal dehydrogenation. The cyclization of enamides was achieved by the introduction of an electron-withdrawing group on the α-carbon of acid chlorides. This methodology allows quick access to polycyclic Pechmann dyes via rare double oxidative cyclizations of dienamides under mild conditions.

Abstract
The mechanism and stereoselectivity of the BF3-catalyzed, enamide-based domino reaction developed by Manolikakes et al. for tetrahydropyran synthesis have been studied using density functional theory calculations. All σ-bond formations were found to proceed through highly ordered cyclic or bicyclic transition states, leading to remarkable levels of diastereoselectivity. The role of the BF3 catalyst was demonstrated to be essential in both substrate activation and stereocontrol.

Abstract
We have presented a unique example of dehydrogenative acylation of enamides with aldehydes enabled by an earth-abundant iron catalyst. The protocol provides the straightforward access to valuable β-ketoenamides with ample substrate scope and excellent functional group tolerance. Notably, distinct C-H acylation of enamide rather than at N-H moiety site occurs with absolute Z-selectivity was observed. Late-stage modifications of complex molecules and versatile synthetic utility of β-ketoenamides further highlight the practicability of this transformation.

Abstract
A novel method for the highly stereoselective synthesis of tetrahydropyrans is reported. This domino reaction is based on a twofold addition of enamides to aldehydes followed by a subsequent cyclization and furnishes fully substituted tetrahydropyrans in high yields. Three new σ‐bonds and five continuous stereogenic centers are formed in this one‐pot process with a remarkable degree of diastereoselectivity. In most cases, the formation of only one out of 16 possible diastereomers is observed. Two different stereoisomers can be accessed in a controlled fashion starting either from an E‐ or a Z‐configured enamide.
