Abstract
Immobilized Pd-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling under continuous-flow conditions using a packed-bed reactor, representing an efficient, automated, practical, and safe technology compared to conventional batch-type reactions. The core objective of this study is the development of an active and durable catalyst. In contrast to supported Pd nanoparticles, the attachment of Pd complexes onto solid supports through well-defined coordination sites is considered a favorable approach for preparing highly dispersed and stabilized Pd species. These species can be directly employed in various flow reactions without the need for pre-treatment. This concept paper explores recent achievements involving the application of immobilized Pd complexes as precatalysts for continuous-flow Suzuki-Miyaura coupling. Our focus is to elucidate the significance of the designed catalyst structures in relation to their catalytic performance under flow conditions. Additionally, we highlight various reaction systems and catalyst packing methods, emphasizing their crucial roles in establishing a practical synthesis process.

Abstract
Rare earths, scandium, yttrium, and the fifteen lanthanoids from lanthanum to lutetium, are classified as critical metals because of their ubiquity in daily life. They are present in magnets in cars, especially electric cars; green electricity generating systems and computers; in steel manufacturing; in glass and light emission materials especially for safety lighting and lasers; in exhaust emission catalysts and supports; catalysts in artificial rubber production; in agriculture and animal husbandry; in health and especially cancer diagnosis and treatment; and in a variety of materials and electronic products essential to modern living. They have the potential to replace toxic chromates for corrosion inhibition, in magnetic refrigeration, a variety of new materials, and their role in agriculture may expand. This review examines their role in sustainability, the environment, recycling, corrosion inhibition, crop production, animal feedstocks, catalysis, health, and materials, as well as considering future uses.

Abstract
Transition metal-catalyzed enantioselective C-H bond functionalizations have become efficient methods for the synthesis of complex optically active molecules. Heterogeneous catalysts for this chemistry remain largely unexplored despite the advantages they offer in terms of ease of separation and reuse of catalysts. Herein, we report the development of heterogeneous chiral Rh catalysts for continuous-flow enantioselective hydroacylations. Heterogeneous catalysts could be prepared simply by mixing supports and Rh complexes. The prepared catalysts exhibited excellent activity and enantioselectivity affording optically active ketones in quantitative yields with 99 % ee's. Under the optimized reaction conditions, a turnover number >300 was achieved without the leaching of Rh species. The catalysts exhibited a wide substrate scope and in sequential-flow reactions with other heterogeneous catalysts, the syntheses of biologically active molecules and functional materials were demonstrated.

Abstract
The development of heterogeneous asymmetric catalysts has attracted increasing interest in synthetic chemistry but mostly relies on the immobilization of homogeneous chiral catalysts. Herein, a series of chiral metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) have been fabricated by anchoring similar chiral hydroxylated molecules (catalytically inactive) with different lengths onto Zr-oxo clusters in achiral PCN-222(Cu). The resulting chiral MOFs exhibit regulated enantioselectivity up to 83 % ee in the asymmetric ring-opening of cyclohexene oxide. The chiral molecules furnished onto the catalytic Lewis sites in the MOF create multilevel microenvironment, including the hydrogen interaction between the substrate and the chiral -OH group, the steric hindrance endowed by the benzene ring on the chiral molecules, and the proximity between the catalytic sites and chiral molecules confined in the MOF pores, which play crucial roles and synergistically promote chiral catalysis. This work nicely achieves heterogeneous enantioselective catalysis by chiral microenvironment modulation around Lewis acid sites.

Abstract
A novel palladium polyaniline complex (Pd@PANI) was synthesized via a one-pot method using a low concentration of hydrogen peroxide (3 wt%) as a mild oxidant. Pd@PANI was employed to catalyze Suzuki-Miyaura cross-couplings with 0.11 ppm levels of palladium and high turnover numbers (up to 6.1 × 104). Various aromatic halides and aromatic boric acids were used as reaction partners to prepare the biaryl compounds in high yields. Application of the method in the synthesis of D-fructose derivatives was also performed. Furthermore, the catalyst was evaluated under a flow process to provide the corresponding products in good yields with shorter residence times and lower temperatures in more convenient operations compared with the batch conditions.

Abstract
![]()
Herein, we describe
an efficient nanocopper-catalyzed Alder-ene
reaction of allenynamides. The copper nanoparticles were immobilized
on amino-functionalized microcrystalline cellulose. A solvent-controlled
chemoselectivity of the reaction was observed, leading to the chemodivergent
synthesis of pyrrolines (2,5-dihydropyrroles) and pyrroles. The heterogeneous
copper catalyst exhibits high efficiency and good recyclability in
the Alder-ene reaction, constituting a highly attractive catalytic
system from an economical and environmental point of view.
