Abstract
Aldimine derivatives chromophores grafted on polyacetylene oligomers were first designed to investigate the nonlinear optical (NLO) response of the resulting materials using CAMB3LYP method. The effects of different factors such as the chain length separating the substitutions as well as the configurations and the orientations of these latter, were examined and discussed. In a second part of this paper, NLO responses, in particular the static hyperpolarizabilities of polyvinyl oligomers substituted by aldimine chromophores via carboxylic groups and by pyrrolidone groups were calculated for different configurations. The stability and the hydrogen bonding in each oligomer were also discussed.

Dendronized Hyperbranched Polymer: A New Architecture for Second-Order Nonlinear Optics. Symmetry (Basel) 2022. Abstract
Organic/polymeric second-order nonlinear optical (NLO) materials, which rely on the poling-induced non-centrosymmetric arrangement of NLO chromophores, have played a very important role in laser technology and optical fiber communication, due to their ultra-fast response speed, excellent machining performance and low dielectric constant. However, the NLO chromophores have the large dipole moments with strong intramolecular charge transfer, which lead to the intermolecular electrostatic interactions to tend to the centrosymmetric arrangement and decrease the poling efficiency. Since the special three-dimensional spatial separation can minimize these strong intermolecular electrostatic interactions during poling process, dendrimers and hyperbranched polymers have been considered as better topology for the next generation of highly efficient NLO materials. In 2013, by the attachment of low generation dendrimers to the hyperbranched backbone, a new dendritic architecture of dendronized hyperbranched polymer (DHP) was proposed for improving the comprehensive performance of NLO materials. Recent results showed many advantages of DHPs in NLO field, such as easy syntheses, large NLO coefficients and high orientation stability, etc. In this review, the latest advancement of DHPs, including the design principle, synthesis, as well as their application as NLO materials is summarized. The new opportunities arising from DHPs are also summarized in the future perspective.

Abstract
The rapid development of efficient organic click coupling reactions has significantly facilitated the construction of synthetic polymers with sophisticated branched nanostructures. This Feature Article summarizes the recent progress in the application of efficient copper-catalyzed and copper-free azide-alkyne cycloaddition (CuAAC and CuFAAC) reactions in the syntheses of dendrimers, hyperbranched polymers, star polymers, graft polymers, molecular brushes, and cyclic graft polymers. Literature reports on the interesting properties and functions of these polytriazole-based nanostructured polymers are also discussed to illustrate their potential applications as self-healing polymers, adhesives, polymer catalysts, opto-electronic polymer materials and polymer carriers for drug and imaging molecules.

Abstract
Dual clickable nanospheres (DCNSs) were synthesized in one step using an efficient approach of ultrasonic-assisted azide-alkyne click polymerization, avoiding the need of surfactants. This novel approach presents a direct clickable monomer-to-nanosphere synthesis. Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), and dynamic laser scattering (DLS) were used to characterize the synthesized DCNSs. Numerous terminal alkynyl and azide groups on the surface of DCNSs facilitate effective conjugation of multiple molecules or ligands onto a single nanocarrier platform under mild conditions. To exemplify the potential of DCNSs in biological applications, (1) multivalent glyconanoparticles (GNPs) were prepared by clicking DCNSs with azide-functionalized and alkyne-functionalized lactose sequentially for the determination of carbohydrate-galectin interactions with quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) biosensor. Using protein chip (purified galectin-3 coated on chip) and cell chip (Jurkat cells immobilized on chip), the QCM sensorgrams showed excellent binding activity of GNPs for galectins; (2) fluorescent GNPs were prepared by clicking DCNSs with azide-functionalized Rhodamine B and alkyne-functionalized lactose sequentially in order to target galectin, which is overexpressed on the surface of Jurkat cells. The fluorescent images obtained clearly showed the cellular internalization of fluorescent GNPs. This fluorescent probe could be easily adapted to drugs to construct lectin-targeted drug delivery systems. Thus, DCNSs prepared with our method may provide a wide range of potential applications in glycobiology and biomedicine.

Abstract
The azide-alkyne click polymerization (AACP) has emerged as a powerful tool for the synthesis of functional polytriazoles. While, for the Cu(I)-catalyzed AACP, the removal of the catalytic Cu(I) species from the resulting polytriazoles is difficult, and the research on the recyclability and reusability of the catalyst remains intact. Herein, we reported the first example of using recyclable and reusable supported Cu(I) catalyst of CuI@A-21 for the AACP. CuI@A-21 could not only efficiently catalyze the AACP but also be reused for at least 4 cycles. Moreover, pronounced reduction of copper residues in the products was achieved. Apart from being a green and cost-effective polymer synthesis strategy, this method will also broaden the application of AACP in material and biological sciences and provide guidelines for other polymerizations with metal catalysts.

Abstract
By the combination of divergent and convergent approach, a new series of NLO dendrimers (G1-PFPh-NS-GL to G3-PFPh-NS-GL) was conveniently prepared with satisfied yields through the powerful "click chemistry" reaction, in which perfluoroaromatic rings were introduced in the periphery, two types of chromophores were arranged with regular AB structure, and their topological structure was improved to a more spherical shape. All the dendrimers demonstrated good processability, and G1-PFPh-NS-GL exhibited the highest NLO effect of 221 pm/V among the three dendrimers.

Abstract
Through the combination of the divergent and convergent approaches, coupled with the utilization of the powerful Sharpless "click-chemistry" reaction, two series of sulfonyl-based high-generation NLO dendrimers were conveniently prepared with high purity and in satisfactory yields. Thanks to the perfect three-dimensional (3D) spatial isolation from the highly branched structure and the isolation effect of the exterior benzene moieties and the interior triazole rings, these dendrimers exhibited large second harmonic generation coefficient (d33) values up to 181 pm V(-1), which, to the best of our knowledge, is the highest value so far for polymers containing sulfonyl-based chromophore moieties. Meanwhile, compared with the nitro-chromophore-based analogues, their optical transparency and NLO stability were improved in a large degree, due to the lower dipole moment (μ) and the special main-chain structure of sulfonyl-based chromophore in these dendrimers.
