Abstract
Aryl thioglycosides have broad applicability as both glycosyl donors and glycomimetic compounds. Their synthesis via the cross-coupling of glycosyl thiols with aryl halides has become a popular method for their construction because it allows better selectivity for anomeric configuration as well as a wider functional group tolerance compared to traditional methods. Herein, we report a nickel-catalyzed method for the synthesis of aryl thioglycosides which utilizes an aqueous micellar environment as the reaction medium. This alternative method allows for mild conditions while circumventing expensive palladium, leading to the successful synthesis of over 30 aryl thioglycosides, including challenging 1,2-cis thioglycoside products.

Abstract
The novel dinuclear complex related to the [FeFe]-hydrogenases active site, [Fe2(μ-pdt)(κ2-dmpe)2(CO)2] (1), is highly reactive toward chlorinated compounds CHxCl4-x (x = 1, 2) affording selectively terminal or bridging chloro diiron isomers through a C-Cl bond activation. DFT calculations suggest a cooperative mechanism involving a formal concerted regioselective chloronium transfer depending on the unrotated or rotated conformation of two isomers of 1.

Abstract
In this study, we report the synthesis of unsubstituted 1,2-benzothiazines through a redox-neutral Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H activation and [4+2]-annulation of S-aryl sulfoximines with vinylene carbonate. Notably, the introduction of an N-protected amino acid ligand significantly enhances the reaction rate. The key aspect of this redox-neutral process is the utilization of vinylene carbonate as an oxidizing acetylene surrogate and an efficient vinylene transfer agent. This vinylene carbonate enables the cyclization with the sulfoximine motifs, successfully forming a diverse array of 1,2-benzothiazine derivatives in moderate to good yields. Importantly, this study highlights the potential of Rh(III)-catalyzed C-H activation and [4+2]-annulation reactions for the synthesis of optically pure 1,2-benzothiazines with high enantiomeric purity.

Abstract
We describe the synthesis and characterization of two classes of hybrid phosphino ligands functionalized with amino ester or amino acid groups. These compounds are built either on a rigid planar phenyl platform or on a functionalized - conformationally controlled - rotational ferrocene backbone. Modifications at the -PR2 phosphino groups (R=aryl and alkyl, with various steric bulk, Ph, Mes, i-Pr, Cy) and at the amino acid/amino ester functions are reported, showing a valuable high modularity. The coordination chemistry of these compounds regarding palladium and gold was investigated, in particular with respect to the coordination mode of the phosphino groups and the preferred interaction with metals for the amino ester and amino acid functions. For all the hybrid ligands, based either on ferrocenyl or phenyl platforms, the (P,N)-chelating effect dominates in solution for coordination to Pd(II), while linear P-Au(I) complexes without interaction with the amino groups are assumed. The investigation of the catalytic activity of these new ligands in the demanding palladium-catalyzed Suzuki-Miyaura coupling of o-dibromoarenes with fluorophenylboronic acid underlined the importance of the amino ester dicyclohexylphosphinoferrocene for avoiding the deleterious homocoupling and arene oligomerization side-reactions that were otherwise observed with the other phosphine ligands.

Abstract
Three crucial anticancer scaffolds, namely indolin-2-one, 1,3,4-thiadiazole, and aziridine, are explored to synthesize virtually screened target molecules based on the c-KIT kinase protein. The stem cell factor receptor c-KIT was selected as target because most U.S. FDA-approved receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors bearing the indolin-2-one scaffold profoundly inhibit c-KIT. Molecular hybrids of indolin-2-one with 1,3,4-thiadiazole (IIIa-m) and aziridine (VIa and VIc) were afforded through a modified Schiff base green synthesis using β-cyclodextrin-SO3H in water as a recyclable proton-donor catalyst. A computational study found that indolin-2,3-dione forms a supramolecular inclusion complex with β-cyclodextrin-SO3H through noncovalent interactions. A molecular docking study of all the synthesized compounds was executed on the c-KIT kinase domain, and most compounds displayed binding affinities similar to that of Sunitinib. On the basis of the pharmacokinetic significance of the aryl thioether linkage in small molecules, 1,3,4-thiadiazole hybrids (IIIa-m) were extended to a new series of 3-((5-(phenylthio)-1,3,4-thiadiazol-2-yl)imino)indolin-2-ones (IVa-m) via thioetherification using bis(triphenylphosphine)palladium(II)dichloride as the catalyst for C-S bond formation. Target compounds were tested against NCI-60 human cancer cell lines for a single-dose concentration. Among all three series of indolin-2-ones, the majority of compounds demonstrated broad-spectrum activity toward various cancer cell lines. Compounds IVc and VIc were further evaluated for a five-dose anticancer study. Compound IVc showed a potent activity of IC50 = 1.47 μM against a panel of breast cancer cell lines, whereas compound VIc exhibited the highest inhibition for a panel of colon cancer cell lines at IC50 = 1.40 μM. In silico ADME property descriptors of all the target molecules are in an acceptable range. Machine learning algorithms were used to examine the metabolites and phase I and II regioselectivities of compounds IVc and VIc, and the results suggested that these two compounds could be potential leads for the treatment of cancer.

Abstract
A mild and facile Cp*Rh(III)-catalyzed C–H activation and intramolecular cascade annulation protocol has been proposed for the furnishing of highly fused isochromeno-1,2-benzothiazines scaffolds using S-phenylsulfoximides and 4-diazoisochroman-3-imine as substrates under room temperature. This method features diverse substituents and functional groups tolerance and relatively mild reaction conditions with moderate to excellent yields. Additionally, retentive configuration of sulfoximides in the conversion has been verified.
