Abstract
AbstractThe oxidative dehydrometallation of silyl or boron enolates is induced by palladium(II) catalyst to result in the versatile introduction of α,β-unsaturated carbon–carbon double bonds via palladium enolates. Selective oxidative cross- and homo-coupling reactions of silyl or boron enolates induced by vanadium(V) oxidant provide a selective synthetic method for accessing 1,4-dicarbonyl compounds in a nucleophile-nucleophile coupling mode. The ligand coupling reaction of main-group organometallic compounds induced by vanadium(V) oxidant provides a unique method for intramolecular carbon–carbon bond formation of nucleophiles. The last two reactions are a complementary strategy for the nucleophile-electrophile coupling reaction. The dehydrometallation and coupling reactions probably proceed through two- and one-electron oxidation processes, respectively.1 Introduction2 Palladium-Catalyzed Dehydrometallation3 Homo- and Cross-Coupling of Main-Group Organometallic Compounds4 Oxidative Ligand Coupling of Main-Group Organometallic Compounds5 Conclusion

Abstract
We report a dehydroboration process that can be coupled with chain-walking hydroboration to create a one-pot, contra-thermodynamic, short- or long-range isomerization of internal olefins to terminal olefins. This dehydroboration occurs by a sequence comprising activation with a nucleophile, iodination, and base-promoted elimination. The isomerization proceeds at room temperature without the need for a fluoride base, and the substrate scope of this isomerization is expanded over those of previous isomerizations we have reported with silanes.

Abstract
The synthesis of isoindolinones from N-methoxy benzamides and saturated ketones via a bimetallic tandem catalytic annulation has been accomplished. The reaction is catalyzed by a Rh/Cu-cocatalytic system and proceeds via the combination of Cu-catalyzed dehydrogenation of ketones and Rh-catalyzed direct C-H functionalization with the assistance of the N-methoxy amide group which also acts as an oxidant to regenerate the Rh catalyst. This method shows good compatibility with a wide range of substrates and functional groups, and provides an alternative strategy to obtain diverse isoindolinones.

Abstract
C(sp3)–H bond desaturation has been an attractive strategy in organic synthesis. Enamides are important structural fragments in pharmaceuticals and versatile synthons in organic synthesis. However, the dehydrogenation of amides usually occurs on the acyl side benefitting from enolate chemistry like the desaturation of ketones and esters. Herein, we demonstrate an Fe-assisted regioselective oxidative desaturation of amides, which provides an efficient approach to enamides and β-halogenated enamides. A novel and regioselective N-α,β-desaturation and dehydrogenative N-β-halogenation of amides was developed. This chemistry with high selectivity and broad substrate scope provides an efficient approach to enamides from simple amides.![]()

Abstract
The development of a platinum-catalyzed desaturation of cyclic ketones to their conjugated α,β-unsaturated counterparts is reported in this full article. A unique diene-platinum complex was identified to be an efficient catalyst, which enables direct metal-enolate formation. The reaction operates under mild conditions without using strong bases or acids. Good to excellent yields can be achieved for diverse and complex scaffolds. A wide range of functional groups, including those sensitive to acids, bases/nucleophiles, or palladium species, are tolerated, which represents a distinct feature from other known desaturation methods. Mechanistically, this platinum catalysis exhibits a fast and reversible α-deprotonation followed by a rate-determining β-hydrogen elimination process, which is different from the prior Pd-catalyzed desaturation method. Promising preliminary enantioselective desaturation using a chiral-diene-platinum complex has also been obtained.

Abstract
The development of the palladium-catalyzed allylic alkylation of in situ generated boron enolates via tandem 1,4-hydroboration is reported. Investigation of the reaction revealed insights into specific catalyst electronic features as well as a profound leaving group effect that proved crucial for achieving efficient allylic alkylation of ester enolates at room temperature and ultimately a highly preparatively useful synthesis of notoriously challenging acyclic all-carbon quaternary stereocenters. The method demonstrates boron enolates as viable pro-nucleophiles in transition-metal catalyzed allylic alkylation, potentially opening up further transformations outside their traditional use.

Abstract
An up-to-date short review of the chalcone methodologies is presented, which is the most
interesting and beneficial for choosing the desired protocol to synthesize suitable derivatives of chalcones.
Chalcones are fluorescent, stable compounds which contribute to the synthesis of various
pharmacologically important heterocyclic structure-based derivatives. Chalcone has displayed a remarkable
curative efficiency to cure several diseases. Several schemes and methodologies have been
reported for employing different catalysts and reagents. The development of improved methodologies
of α, β-unsaturated carbonyl compounds is still on going. In this review, synthetic methodologies
and their recent modification in designing new methods with efficient, economical, eco-friendly
and high yield are discussed.

Abstract
A unique example of Pd-catalyzed decarboxylative dehydrogenation of fully substituted N-acyl allyl enol carbonates is enabled by a new electron deficient phosphinooxazoline (PHOX) ligand. The reaction proceeds from the Z-enol carbonate to provide dehydrogenation products exclusively in high E/Z selectivity, while the E-enol carbonate provides the α-allylation product with only minor dehydrogenation. The reaction proceeds with a broad scope of (Z)-enol carbonates derived from N-acyl indoles to furnish acyclic formal α,β-unsaturated ester equivalents.

Abstract
The development of a general platinum-catalyzed desaturation of N-protected lactams, ketones, and lactones to their conjugated α,β-unsaturated counterparts is reported. The reaction operates under mildly acidic conditions at room temperature or 50 °C. It is scalable and tolerates a wide range of functional groups. The complementary reactivity to the palladium-catalyzed desaturation is demonstrated in the efficient conversion of iodide, bromide, and sulfur-containing substrates.
