Abstract
Since the development of metallopolymers, there has been tremendous interest in the applications of this type of materials. The interest in these materials stems from their potential use in industry as catalysts, biomedical agents in healthcare, energy storage and production as well as climate change mitigation. The past two decades have clearly shown exponential growth in the development of many new classes of metallopolymers that address these issues. Today, metallopolymers are considered to be at the forefront for discovering new and sustainable heterogeneous catalysts, therapeutics for drug-resistant diseases, energy storage and photovoltaics, molecular barometers and thermometers, as well as carbon dioxide sequesters. The focus of this review is to highlight the advances in design of metallopolymers with specific sustainable applications.

Abstract
This study aims to assess the possibility of improving H2 and CH4 binding affinity to the aromatic walls of a designed new Metal-Organic Framework (MOF) through simultaneous dispersive interactions. It is suggested here that desirable H2 and CH4 storage media at low pressures require narrow uniform pores associated with large surface area, a trade-off that is challenging to achieve.

Abstract
Herein, we report the synthesis of DNA-functionalized infinite-coordination-polymer (ICP) nanoparticles as biocompatible gene-regulation agents. ICP nanoparticles were synthesized from ferric nitrate and a ditopic 3-hydroxy-4-pyridinone (HOPO) ligand bearing a pendant azide. Addition of Fe(III) to a solution of the ligand produced nanoparticles, which were colloidally unstable in the presence of salts. Conjugation of DNA to the Fe(III)-HOPO ICP particles by copper-free click chemistry afforded colloidally stable nucleic-acid nanoconstructs. The DNA-ICP particles, when cross-linked through sequence-specific hybridization, exhibited narrow, highly cooperative melting transitions consistent with dense DNA surface loading. The ability of the DNA-ICP particles to enter cells and alter protein expression was also evaluated. Our results indicate that these novel particles carry nucleic acids into mammalian cells without the need for transfection agents and are capable of efficient gene knockdown.

Abstract
The design and synthesis of coordinative supramolecular polygons with open binding sites is described. Coordination-driven self-assembly of 2,6-bis(pyridin-4-ylethynyl)pyridine with 60° and 120° organoplatinum acceptors results in quantitative formation of a supramolecular rhomboid and hexagon, respectively, both bearing open pyridyl binding sites. The structures were determined by multinuclear ((31)P and (1)H) NMR spectroscopy and electrospray ionization (ESI) mass spectrometry, along with a computational study.

Abstract
The asymmetric tandem oxa-Michael-aldol reaction of salicylic aldehyde derivatives with alpha,beta-unsaturated aldehydes catalyzed by a chiral amine/chiral acid organocatalytic system was investigated. The organocatalytic system of (S)-diphenylpyrrolinol trimethylsilyl ether with chiral shift reagent (S)-Mosher acid presented a synergistic effect in the improvement of reaction performance and offered an efficient steric effect in the transformation. The tandem oxa-Michael-aldol reaction proceeded with high yields (up to 90%) and with excellent ee values (up to 99%) to give the corresponding chromene derivatives. The structure of the chiral ammonium salt formed in situ and the corresponding mechanism were also studied by (1)H NMR.
