Abstract
In the present work, a new and efficient sorbent has been prepared using the co-precipitation method for magnetic dispersive solid phase extraction followed by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction. This method was used for the extraction and preconcentration of some widely-used pesticides (chlorpyrifos, haloxyfop-R-methyl, oxadiazon, diniconazole, clodinafop-propargyl, fenpropathrin, and fenoxaprop-P-ethyl) from fruit juices prior to their determination by gas chromatography-flame ionization detection. The sorbent was prepared by octadecylamine co-precipitation with Fe3O4. In the first step, mg amount of the magnetic sorbent was spread into an aqueous sample solution including the selected analytes and vortexed. Then the analytes were eluted with acetonitrile from the surface of the nanoparticles separated with an external magnetic field from the aqueous solution. In the second step, the obtained eluent was mixed with an extraction solvent (chloroform) at the μL-level and rapidly injected into deionized water. After centrifugation, an aliquot of the sedimented phase was injected into the separation system. Experimental parameters which control the performance of both steps were investigated and optimized. Using optimum extraction conditions, the proposed method provided low limits of detection (0.23-0.41 μg L-1) and quantification (0.81-1.3 μg L-1), high enrichment factors (353-443), acceptable extraction recoveries (70-88%), and satisfactory relative standard deviations (≤6%) for intra- (n = 6) and inter-day (n = 4) precisions at a concentration of 30 μg L-1 of each pesticide.

Abstract
In this study, a new solid phase extraction method based on the use of a low-cost funnel-shaped partially carbonized cellulose filter paper as a sorbent has been developed. The sorbent is easily prepared by heating the folded filter paper wetted with sulfuric acid solution and can be reused for several times. It is combined with dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction and used for the extraction of some pesticide residues from fruit juice samples prior to their analysis by gas chromatography-flame ionization detection. In this work, limits of detection and quantification were in the ranges of 0.30-0.61 and 1.0-2.0 µg L-1, respectively, and relative standard deviations ranged between 3 and 6% for intra- (n=5) and inter-day (n=5) precisions at a concentration of 25 µg L-1 of each pesticide. The enrichment factors of 452-751 were achieved. Extraction recoveries were in the range of 45-75%. The calibration curves had wide linear ranges with a good linearity (coefficient of determination ≥ 0.994). Finally, efficiency of the method was apprised by determining the analytes in fruit juice samples and relative recoveries were found to be in the range of 85-101%.

Quantification of deltamethrin residues in wheat by Ag@ZnO NFs-based surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy coupling chemometric models. Food Chem 2020; 337:127652. Abstract
Deltamethrin, one of the most toxic pyrethroids, is commonly used to inhibit pests in wheat. However, the trace levels of deltamethrin in wheat is alarming to human health. In this study, surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS)-active silver nanoparticles-plated-zinc oxide nanoflowers (Ag@ZnO NFs) nano-sensor were employed for rapid and sensitive quantification of deltamethrin in wheat. To sufficiently utilize the chemical-related information in SERS spectra, various spectral pretreatment and chemometric models were studied. The mean centering (MC) coupling successive projection algorithm-partial least squares regression (SPA-PLS) provided optimal predictive performance (correlation coefficient of prediction (Rp) = 0.9736 and residual predictive deviation (RPD) = 4.75). The proposed method achieved the limit of detection (LOD) = 0.16 μg·kg-1, the recovery of predicted results was in the range of 96.33-109.17% and the relative standard deviation (RSD) was < 5%. The overall results suggested that SERS based Ag@ZnO NFs combined with MC-SPA-PLS could be an easy and efficient method to quantify deltamethrin residue levels in wheat.

Abstract
This manuscript presents an effective and robust method for simultaneous stereoselective determination of two pyrethroid insecticides, tetramethrin and α-cypermethrin in different food products by high-performance liquid chromatography. Enantioseparation was carried out using reversed-phase chromatography, and the influences of four polysaccharide-based chiral columns, mobile phase composition, and column temperature on retention were fully investigated. Satisfactory separation was obtained on Chiralpak IG column using acetonitrile-water (75:25, v/v) under isocratic conditions. To extract and purify the target analytes from food matrices, matrix solid-phase dispersion was employed with C18 as dispersant and primary secondary amine as well as graphitized carbon black as cleanup sorbents. Response surface method based on Box-Behnken design was implemented to assist optimization of the extraction variables. Then, method validation was done in real samples including specificity, linearity, sensitivity, trueness, precision, as well as stability, and its analytical performance fulfills the criteria recommended by the European Union SANTE/11945/2015, demonstrating its applicability in studying the stereochemistry of chiral tetramethrin and α-cypermethrin in food products.
