Abstract
There are a lot of review papers of sample pretreatment, but the comprehensive review on pipette-tip solid-phase extraction (PT-SPE) is lacking. This review (133 references) is mainly devoted to the development of different types of micro- and nanosorbent-based PT-SPE, including silica materials, carbon materials, organic polymers, molecularly imprinted polymers, and metal-organic frameworks. Each section mainly introduces and discusses the preparation methods, advantages and limitations of adsorbents, and their applications to environmental, biological, and food samples. This review also demonstrates the advantages of PT-SPE like convenience, speed, less organic solvent, and low cost. Finally, the future application and development trend of PT-SPE are prospected.

Colloidal gold-based lateral flow immunoassay with inline cleanup for rapid on-site screening of carbendazim in functional foods. Anal Bioanal Chem 2021; 413:3725-3735. Abstract
In this study, for the first time, we propose a sensitive colloidal gold-based lateral flow immunoassay (LFIA) that can be used to detect carbendazim residues in functional foods. The adoption of inline cleanup LFIA strips effectively improved background interference to reduce misjudgment of results. First, the hapten 2-(methylamino)-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-5-carboxylic acid was used to establish the carbendazim immunoassay method. Subsequently, colloidal gold-mAb preparation and LFIA detection conditions were systematically optimized. For root and fruit samples (ginseng, ginger, jujube, and Chinese wolfberry), the designed strips had a cutoff value of 8 ng/mL. For flower and seed samples (chrysanthemum, coix seed, and malt), the cutoff value was 12 ng/mL. Even in a complex matrix, the established LFIA method demonstrates satisfactory sensitivity and anti-interference ability. This method was successfully applied in detection of carbendazim residues in complex functional foods, and the assay results are consistent with those obtained via liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry. In short, the proposed method is fast and sensitive and has strong anti-interference ability. Furthermore, it provides a new technical method highly relevant to the on-site rapid detection of carbendazim residues in complex sample matrix.

Abstract
Winter is the key period for the control of apple diseases, and fungicides are needed to protect the trunk or main branches. Fungicide residue in apple tree bark is an important basis for the action of the pesticide, but there are no reports on analytical methods or dissipation patterns. In this work, thiophanate-methyl, carbendazim, tebuconazole and pyraclostrobin were selected as typical fungicides and a new QuEChERS-HPLC-VWD(QuEChERS extraction followed by high-performance liquid chromatography detection with a variable wavelength detector) analytical method was developed to estimate their residue kinetics in apple tree bark during the winter months. In the pretreatment step, the sorbent for the clean-up of extracts was optimized as 60 mg/ml primary secondary amine and a gradient-elution model followed by a variable wavelength detection was developed for instrumental analysis. Then this method was validated and applied to the analysis of apple tree bark samples with the linearity range of 0.010-50.00 mg/L, quantification limit range of 0.028-0.080 mg/kg and recovery range of 86.1-101.4%. The dissipation kinetics of thiophanate-methyl and pyraclostrobin could be described by the first-order and two-phase kinetics models, respectively. For carbendazim and tebuconazole, two new models were developed to describe their residue kinetics.

A novel and sensitive ratiometric fluorescence assay for carbendazim based on N-doped carbon quantum dots and gold nanocluster nanohybrid. JOURNAL OF HAZARDOUS MATERIALS 2020; 386:121958. Abstract
A novel fluorescence "turn on" ratiometric fluorescent sensor was employed to determine carbendazim. The sensing process was achieved through the strong fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) between nitrogen doped carbon quantum dots (N-CQDs) and gold nanocluster (AuNCs). The photoluminescence intensity of N-CQDs can be deactivated by AuNCs through FRET effect and recovered by the addition of carbendazim. The ratiometric detection of carbendazim is achieved by recording the photoluminescence and second-order Rayleigh scattering (SRS) signal of N-CQDs/AuNCs system. With the introduction of carbendazim to the sensing platform resulted in the photoluminescence and SRS signal of N-CQDS/AuNCs enhancing. UV-vis absorption, Zeta potential and fluorescence lifetime analyses indicate that the fluorescence turn on process can be attributed to the aggregation of AuNCs breaks the FRET process and increases SRS intensity. N-CQDs/AuNCs probe present a good sensitivity and selectivity for carbendazim detection, with two linear response ranges (1-100 μM, 150-1000 μM), low detection limit of 0.83 μM and 37.25 μM. Furthermore, real sample analyses indicate that the as-presented sensor has potentials in carbendazim determination in real sample analyses.

Abstract
Surfactant cetyltrimethylammonium bromide enhanced molybdenum disulfide was used as an adsorbent in pipette-tip solid-phase extraction for the pretreatment of sulfonamides in environmental water samples. The factors affecting the extraction recoveries of the analytes, including the sample pH value, amount of sorbent, type and volume of eluent solution, and salt concentration were optimized. This pipette-tip solid-phase extraction method demonstrated good linearity (0.05-10.0 µg/L) with a coefficient of determination of 0.9984-0.9996, limit of detection (0.2-0.4 ng/L) and limit of quantitation (0.5-1.0 ng/L), good analyte recoveries (76-91), and acceptable limit of quantitation (<10%) under the optimized conditions. These results indicated that the proposed method was a good tool for monitoring sulfonamides in environmental water samples.

Abstract
In order to improve the permeation and adsorption properties of graphene oxide, heteroatoms and deep eutectic solvent were introduced in this study. After being modified, the structural properties of graphene oxide were improved and the materials were applied to the determination of myricetin and rutin in tea sample by pipette-tip solid-phase extraction method. The materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-Ray diffractomer, energy dispersive spectroscopy, atomic force microscope, and specific surface area by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller N2 adsorption desorption analysis. Meanwhile, they were tested by static and dynamic adsorption. The result showed that the materials after modifying had better adsorption amount for myricetin and rutin than graphene oxide. The calibration graphs of myricetin and rutin in MeOH were linear over 0.10-500.00 µg/mL, and the limits of detection and quantification were in the range of 0.00546-0.0182 µg/mL and 0.00741-0.0247 µg/mL, respectively. A reliable analytical method was developed for recognition targets in tea sample by DES modified nitrogen-doped graphene oxide with satisfactory extraction recoveries (myricetin 99.77%, rutin 98.14%). It was potential for the rapid purification of myricetin and rutin in tea sample combined with the pipette-tip solid-phase extraction.
