Model for Assessing Quality of Online Health Information: A Fuzzy VIKOR Based Method

Research on quality evaluation of industry-education integration for rural vocational education in the perspective of rural revitalization with PL-MACONT method

As one of the teaching models that promote the orderly development of vocational education in China, the integration of industry and education has been recognized by all sectors of society in China’s many years of practice. In recent years, with the strong advocacy of the education sector in China, its development speed has been rapidly improved. Rural vocational education in China has also actively implemented and innovated the teaching mode of integration of industry and education, which has trained more excellent talents for agricultural development in various regions. The quality evaluation of industry-education integration for rural vocational education in the perspective of rural revitalization is viewed as the multiple attribute group decision making (MAGDM). In this paper, the probabilistic linguistic Mixed Aggregation by Comprehensive Normalization Technique (PL-MACONT) method is built for MAGDM. At last, to verify the validity of the extended method, a numerical example to further account for quality evaluation of industry-education integration for rural vocational education in the perspective of rural revitalization is put into use.

COVID ‐19 critical success factors in Indian healthcare industry—A DEMATEL approach

The prosed study aims to provide COVID‐19 critical success factors (CSF) associated with pandemic circumstances in the Indian healthcare industry (HCI). The CSF was identified via expert team inputs and a detailed literature review. The Decision‐Making Trial and Evaluation Laboratory (DEMATEL) method is used to determine the causal relationship between identified CSF. The methodology was supported by the case study of the Indian HCI. A total of 15 CSF in the Indian HCI during COVID‐19 are identified and prioritized using the DEMATEL method. The findings indicate that the high‐quality personal protective equipment (PPEs; LC8) and testing laboratories/facilities, centres, and kits (LC15) are the significant cause, and appropriate healthcare laws (LC13) are the least effect group. The study shows that policy and decision‐makers need to emphasize on LC8 and LC15 CSF in the Indian HCI and act accordingly to win the battle against post‐COVID‐19 circumstance. The policy/decision‐makers and healthcare administrations can identify the CSF and focus on that particular CSF. The identified CSF will help policy and decision‐makers swiftly build up the HCI to cope with the future pandemic.

Automatically Assessing Quality of Online Health Articles

Today Information in the world wide web is overwhelmed by unprecedented quantity of data on versatile topics with varied quality. However, the quality of information disseminated in the field of medicine has been questioned as the negative health consequences of health misinformation can be life-threatening. There is currently no generic automated tool for evaluating the quality of online health information spanned over broad range. To address this gap, in this paper, we applied data mining approach to automatically assess the quality of online health articles based on 10 quality criteria. We have prepared a labelled dataset with 53012 features and applied different feature selection methods to identify the best feature subset with which our trained classifier achieved an accuracy of [Formula: see text] varied over 10 criteria. Our semantic analysis of features shows the underpinning associations between the selected features & assessment criteria and further rationalize our assessment approach. Our findings will help in identifying high quality health articles and thus aiding users in shaping their opinion to make right choice while picking health related help from online.

Fusing Multi-Attribute Decision Models for Decision Making to Achieve Optimal Product Design

Manufacturers need to select the best design from alternative design concepts in order to meet up with the demand of customers and have a larger share of the competitive market that is flooded with multifarious designs. Evaluation of conceptual design alternatives can be modelled as a Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM) process because it includes conflicting design features with different sub features. Hybridization of Multi Attribute Decision Making (MADM) models has been applied in various field of management, science and engineering in order to have a robust decision-making process but the extension of these hybridized MADM models to decision making in engineering design still requires attention. In this article, an integrated MADM model comprising of Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (FAHP), Fuzzy Pugh Matrix and Fuzzy VIKOR was developed and applied to evaluate conceptual designs of liquid spraying machine. The fuzzy AHP was used to determine weights of the design features and sub features by virtue of its fuzzified comparison matrix and synthetic extent evaluation. The fuzzy Pugh matrix provides a methodical structure for determining performance using all the design alternatives as basis and obtaining aggregates for the designs using the weights of the sub features. The fuzzy VIKOR generates the decision matrix from the aggregates of the fuzzified Pugh matrices and determine the best design concept from the defuzzified performance index. At the end, the optimal design concept is determined for the liquid spraying machine.
