Abstract
In the title compound, C20H22N2O4, two benzene rings bearing meth-oxy substituents are connected by a central acetyl-pyrazoline ring: the dihedral angle between the benzene rings is 83.7 (1)°. In the crystal, pairwise C-H⋯O hydrogen bonds generate inversion dimers and additional weak C-H⋯O inter-actions link the dimers into chains propagating along the c-axis direction.

Espíndola C. Some Ways for the Synthesis of Chalcones - New Ways for the Synthesis of Flavon-3-ols. MINI-REV ORG CHEM 2020. Abstract
The flavonoids by their natural properties and their diverse applications are a group of
compounds whose study of origin, characteristics and applications has been dedicated to extensive
research. For the organic synthesis of chalcones, due to their interest as precursor molecules of different
compounds, several pathways have been developed and reported in numerous works. Analyses
on the effect of some of these catalysts on chalcone yield (%), with respect to time and reaction temperature
are presented here. Given the importance of flavon-3-ols, as compounds of pharmacological
interest mainly, new synthesis routes are proposed, in addition to the existing ones. This paper presents
the main pathways for the synthesis of chalcones and analyzes their production. New routes for
the synthesis of flavon-3-ols that follow the Claisen-Schmidt condensation and the interconversion of
melacacidin are proposed.

Abstract
In the title molecule, C28H25N3O3S, the dihedral angles formed by the naphthalene ring system and the benzene rings are 73.03 (13) and 74.04 (11)°. The benzene rings attached to the central pyrazoline ring are almost coplanar, as indicated by the dihedral angle of 2.22 (10)° between them. The C atom of the methoxy group of the phenol ring is essentially coplanar with the ring [C—C—O—C = −0.3 (3)°], whereas the C atom of the methoxy group of the thioamide benzene ring is slightly twisted [C—C—O—C = 5.4 (3)°]. An intramolecular O—H...N hydrogen bond generates anS(6) ring motif. In the crystal, pairs of very weak C—H...S interactions form inversion dimers with anR22(18) motif.

Abstract
To identify new potent chemotherapeutic agents, we synthesized compounds with 3-(naphthalen-2-yl)-N,5-diphenyl-pyrazoline-1-carbothioamide (NDPC) skeletons and evaluated their cytotoxicities using a clonogenic long-term survival assay. Their half-maximal cell growth inhibitory concentrations ranged from a few hundred nanomolars to a few micromolars. Further biological experiments including flow cytometry and western blotting analysis were performed with the derivative showing the best cytotoxicity. To identify a target protein of the selected compound, an in vitro kinase assay was carried out, which revealed that aurora kinases A and B were inhibited by the test compound, and this was confirmed using western blot analysis. The molecular binding mode between the selected compound and the kinases was elucidated using in silico docking. The structural conditions required for good cytotoxicity were identified based on the quantitative relationships between the physicochemical properties of the derivatives and their cytotoxicities.
