Abstract
OBJECTIVE Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC) is a distinct molecular subtype of gastric cancer (GC). At present, the clinical characteristics and prognostic implications of EBV infection and the potential clinical benefits of immune checkpoint blockade in GC remain to be clarified. Hence, this study was designed to analyze the clinical and pathological characteristics of GC patients with varying EBV infection states and compare their overall survival (OS). METHODS A retrospective study was performed on 1031 consecutive GC patients who underwent gastrectomy at the Affiliated Hospital of Xuzhou Medical University from February 2018 to November 2022. EBV-encoded RNA (EBER) in situ hybridization (ISH) was used for EBV assessment, and immunohistochemical staining was used for evaluation of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2), programmed death ligand 1 (PD-L1), and Ki67 expression. EBVaGC was defined as tumors with EBV positivity. In addition, EBV-negative GC (EBVnGC) patients were matched with EBVaGC patients based on seven clinicopathological parameters (age, gender, anatomic subsite, tumor size, Lauren classification, degree of differentiation, and tumor-node-metastasis [TNM] stage). The correlations of clinical features with HER2, PD-L1, and Ki67 expression were evaluated statistically. The survival of patients was assessed through medical records, telephone, or WeChat communication, and prognostic analysis was performed using the logrank test as well as univariable and multivariable regression analysis. RESULTS Out of 1031 GC patients tested, 35 (3.4%) were diagnosed with EBVaGC. Notably, the EBVaGC group exhibited a distinct predominance of males and younger patients, significantly higher Ki67 and PD-L1 expression levels, and a lower prevalence of pericancerous nerve invasion than the EBVnGC group (P < 0.01). In the 35 EBVaGC cases, Ki67 expression was negatively correlated with age (P < 0.05), suggesting that a younger onset age was associated with higher Ki67 expression. In addition, PD-L1 expression was correlated with the degree of differentiation, T-stage, and clinical stage of the patient. Furthermore, PD-L1 expression was elevated in tumors with lower differentiation or at later stages (P < 0.05). Using univariate analysis, Ki67, PD-L1, and clinical stage were identified as significant factors influencing the overall survival (OS) of EBVaGC patients (P < 0.05). Moreover, multivariate survival analysis revealed that clinical stage and Ki67 expression were independent risk factors for the OS of the patients (P < 0.05), and the three-year OS rate of EBVaGC patients was 64.2%. CONCLUSION EBV-ISH is a practical and valuable method to identify EBVaGC. Owing to its unique etiological, pathological, and clinical characteristics, patients with EBVaGC might benefit from immune checkpoint blockade therapy.

Abstract
Objective The study established a nomogram based on quantitative parameters of spectral computed tomography (CT) and clinical characteristics, aiming to evaluate its predictive value for preoperative lymphovascular invasion (LVI) in gastric cancer (GC). Methods From December 2019 to December 2021, 171 patients with pathologically confirmed GC were retrospectively collected with corresponding clinical data and spectral CT quantitative data. Patients were divided into LVI-positive and LVI-negative groups based on their pathological results. The univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were used to identify the risk factors and construct a nomogram. The calibration curve and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve were adopted to evaluate the predictive accuracy of nomogram. Results Four clinical characteristics or spectral CT quantitative parameters, including Borrmann classification (P = 0.039), CA724 (P = 0.007), tumor thickness (P = 0.031), and iodine concentration in the venous phase (VIC) (P = 0.004) were identified as independent factors for LVI in GC patients. The nomogram was established based on the four factors, which had a potent predictive accuracy in the training, internal validation and external validation cohorts, with the area under the ROC curve (AUC) of 0.864 (95% CI, 0.798-0.930), 0.964 (95% CI, 0.903-1.000) and 0.877 (95% CI, 0.759-0.996), respectively. Conclusion This study constructed a comprehensive nomogram consisting spectral CT quantitative parameters and clinical characteristics of GC, which exhibited a robust efficiency in predicting LVI in GC patients.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION AND AIMS Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) infection is an etiologic factor in EBV-associated gastric carcinoma (EBVaGC). The aim of our study was to describe the clinical and histopathologic characteristics of EBV infection in intestinal-type gastric adenocarcinoma samples. MATERIAL AND METHODS Of 180 paraffin-embedded gastrectomy samples, 28 were studied. Chromogenic in situ hybridization was performed to detect EBV. Sociodemographic and histopathologic data were obtained from the patients' clinical histories. RESULTS A total of 21.4% of the samples were positive for EBV. The predominant morphologic characteristic was the lace pattern, with dense inflammatory infiltration. Fifty percent of the EBVaGC+ patients were men, and the median age of the positive patients was 59 years (range: 50-75); 77.2% of the EBVaGC- patients were men, and the median age of the negative patients was 66 years (range: 34-89). Helicobacter pylori infection was associated with 10.7% of the EBVaGC+ patients and 53.6% of the EBVaGC- patients. In the EBVaGC+ patients, the cardia was the most frequent tumor location (17.9%), 7.1% had histologic grades 2 and 3, and 17.9% presented with Borrmann classification type III. In the EBVaGC- patients, the cardia and fundus were the most frequent tumor locations (71.4%), 35.7% had histologic grade 2, and 39.3% and 21.4% presented with Borrmann classification type III and IV, respectively. CONCLUSIONS The present study describes the clinical and histopathologic characteristics associated with EBVaGC positivity. Those data may aid in the selection of cases that are candidates for analysis through molecular methods aimed at identifying EBV infection in intestinal-type gastric adenocarcinoma.

Abstract
BACKGROUND & AIMS Evidence suggests that a fraction of new gastric cancer cases may be etiologically associated with Epstein-Barr virus (EBV), a known carcinogenic agent. We aimed to systematically explore the proportion of EBV-positive gastric cancer. METHODS We did a systematic review (PROSPERO CRD42020164473) from January 1990 to August 2021. For each country and geographical region with available data, pooled prevalence and corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs) of EBV in gastric tumors were calculated for 3 subtypes of gastric adenocarcinoma (conventional adenocarcinoma, lymphoepithelioma-like gastric carcinoma, and remnant/stump carcinoma). For conventional adenocarcinoma, prevalence ratios (PRs) were presented for sex, Lauren's classification, gastric cancer stage, and anatomical location of the stomach. RESULTS In 220 eligible studies including over 68,000 cases of conventional gastric adenocarcinoma, EBV prevalence in tumor cells was 7.5% (95% CI, 6.9%-8.1%) and was higher in men compared with women (PR, 2.1; 95% CI, 1.9-2.4), in diffuse type compared with intestinal type (PR, 1.3; 95% CI, 1.1-1.5), and in the proximal region compared with the distal region (PR, 2.5; 95% CI, 2.0-3.1). There was no difference in EBV prevalence by gastric cancer stage. EBV prevalence was 75.9% (95% CI, 62.8%-85.5%) among lymphoepithelioma-like gastric carcinoma and 26.3% (95% CI, 22.2%-32.0%) among remnant or stump carcinoma. CONCLUSIONS Assuming a causal association between EBV and gastric cancer, our findings, when applied to the GLOBOCAN 2020 gastric cancer incidence, suggest that primary prevention such as the development of an effective EBV vaccine might prevent 81,000 EBV-associated gastric cancer cases worldwide annually.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The prognostic value of quantitative assessments of the number of retrieved lymph nodes (RLNs) in gastric cancer (GC) patients needs further study.
AIM To discuss how to obtain a more accurate count of metastatic lymph nodes (MLNs) based on RLNs in different pT stages and then to evaluate patient prognosis.
METHODS This study retrospectively analyzed patients who underwent GC radical surgery and D2/D2+ LN dissection at the Cancer Hospital of Harbin Medical University from January 2011 to May 2017. Locally weighted smoothing was used to analyze the relationship between RLNs and the number of MLNs. Restricted cubic splines were used to analyze the relationship between RLNs and hazard ratios (HRs), and X-tile was used to determine the optimal cutoff value for RLNs. Patient survival was analyzed with the Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test. Finally, HRs and 95% confidence intervals were calculated using Cox proportional hazards models to analyze independent risk factors associated with patient outcomes.
RESULTS A total of 4968 patients were included in the training cohort, and 11154 patients were included in the validation cohort. The smooth curve showed that the number of MLNs increased with an increasing number of RLNs, and a nonlinear relationship between RLNs and HRs was observed. X-tile analysis showed that the optimal number of RLNs for pT1-pT4 stage GC patients was 26, 31, 39, and 45, respectively. A greater number of RLNs can reduce the risk of death in patients with pT1, pT2, and pT4 stage cancers but may not reduce the risk of death in patients with pT3 stage cancer. Multivariate analysis showed that RLNs were an independent risk factor associated with the prognosis of patients with pT1-pT4 stage cancer (P = 0.044, P = 0.037, P = 0.003, P < 0.001).
CONCLUSION A greater number of RLNs may not benefit the survival of patients with pT3 stage disease but can benefit the survival of patients with pT1, pT2, and pT4 stage disease. For the pT1, pT2, and pT4 stages, it is recommended to retrieve 26, 31 and 45 LNs, respectively.

Abstract
The development of cancer is a multifactorial phenomenon, while it constitutes a major global health problem. Viruses are an important factor that is involved in tumorigenesis and is associated with 12.1% of all cancer cases. Major examples of oncogenic viruses which are closely associated with the digestive system are HBV, HCV, EBV, HPV, JCV, and CMV. EBV, HPV, JCV, and CMV directly cause oncogenesis by expressing oncogenic proteins that are encoded in their genome. In contrast, HBV and HCV are correlated indirectly with carcinogenesis by causing chronic inflammation in the infected organs. In addition, the tumor microenvironment contains various immune cells, endothelial cells, and fibroblasts, as well as several growth factors, cytokines, and other tumor-secreted molecules that play a key role in tumor growth, progression, and migration, while they are closely interrelated with the virus. The presence of T-regulatory and B-regulatory cells in the tumor microenvironment plays an important role in the anti-tumor immune reaction. The tumor immune microenvironments differ in each type of cancer and depend on viral infection. The alterations in the immune microenvironment caused by viruses are also reflected in the effectiveness of immunotherapy. The present review aims at shedding light on the association between viruses and digestive system malignancies, the characteristics of the tumor immune microenvironment that develop, and the possible treatments that can be administered.

Abstract
IMPORTANCE Epstein-Barr virus (EBV)-associated gastric cancer (EBV-GC) is 1 of 4 molecular subtypes of GC and is confirmed by an expensive molecular test, EBV-encoded small RNA in situ hybridization. EBV-GC has 2 histologic characteristics, lymphoid stroma and lace-like tumor pattern, but projecting EBV-GC at biopsy is difficult even for experienced pathologists. OBJECTIVE To develop and validate a deep learning algorithm to predict EBV status from pathology images of GC biopsy. DESIGN, SETTING, AND PARTICIPANTS This diagnostic study developed a deep learning classifier to predict EBV-GC using image patches of tissue microarray (TMA) and whole slide images (WSIs) of GC and applied it to GC biopsy specimens from GCs diagnosed at Kangbuk Samsung Hospital between 2011 and 2020. For a quantitative evaluation and EBV-GC prediction on biopsy specimens, the area of each class and the fraction in total tissue or tumor area were calculated. Data were analyzed from March 5, 2021, to February 10, 2022. MAIN OUTCOMES AND MEASURES Evaluation metrics of predictive model performance were assessed on accuracy, recall, precision, F1 score, area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC), and κ coefficient. RESULTS This study included 137 184 image patches from 16 TMAs (708 tissue cores), 24 WSIs, and 286 biopsy images of GC. The classifier was able to classify EBV-GC image patches from TMAs and WSIs with 94.70% accuracy, 0.936 recall, 0.938 precision, 0.937 F1 score, and 0.909 κ coefficient. The classifier was used for predicting and measuring the area and fraction of EBV-GC on biopsy tissue specimens. A 10% cutoff value for the predicted fraction of EBV-GC to tissue (EBV-GC/tissue area) produced the best prediction results in EBV-GC biopsy specimens and showed the highest AUC value (0.8723; 95% CI, 0.7560-0.9501). That cutoff also obtained high sensitivity (0.895) and moderate specificity (0.745) compared with experienced pathologist sensitivity (0.842) and specificity (0.854) when using the presence of lymphoid stroma and a lace-like pattern as diagnostic criteria. On prediction maps, EBV-GCs with lace-like pattern and lymphoid stroma showed the same prediction results as EBV-GC, but cases lacking these histologic features revealed heterogeneous prediction results of EBV-GC and non-EBV-GC areas. CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE This study showed the feasibility of EBV-GC prediction using a deep learning algorithm, even in biopsy samples. Use of such an image-based classifier before a confirmatory molecular test will reduce costs and tissue waste.

Abstract
Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer (EBVaGC) has been reported to be associated with chronic inflammation of the gastric epithelium caused by Helicobacter pylori infection. Autoimmune gastritis (AIG) is also believed to increase the risk of carcinogenesis. We herein report a case of multiple EBVaGCs that arose in a patient with AIG, highlighting the potential for multiplicity of this entity. In this case, a total of four metachronous EBVaGCs were found after initial Endoscopic submucosal dissection for EBVaGC, all of which were treated endoscopically. This case demonstrates that patients with AIG should be monitored closely for development of EBVaGC.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is known to be involved in gastric carcinogenesis. EBV-associated early gastric carcinoma (EBVEGC) has a lower incidence of lymph node involvement and could be an expanded indication for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) treatment. AIM To clarify the prevalence and clinicopathological features of EBVEGC. METHODS This study reviewed 618 lesions in 519 patients treated with ESD between 2014 and 2016. Tissue microarray sections were subjected to in situ hybridization staining for EBV-encoded small RNA transcripts (EBER). Lesions positive for EBER were compared with control lesions and were retrospectively analyzed. RESULTS 12 (1.9%) of the 618 lesions were EBVEGC. EBVEGCs were more frequently located near the atrophic border than control lesions in the middle or upper stomach and were reddish. EBVEGC invasion was deeper and more often histologically undifferentiated. On narrow-band imaging magnifying endoscopy, the EBVEGC group significantly more often showed an endoscopic lace pattern, defined as an absent or obscure microsurface pattern and a microvascular pattern of a tiny, dense, and irregular subepithelial capillary network. The rate of curative resection was significantly lower in the EBVEGC group. CONCLUSIONS Only 1.9% of the ESD specimens were EBV-positive. Endoscopic features could raise clinical suspicion of EBV infection.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer (EBVGC) has been reported to be associated with a low risk for lymph node metastasis (LNM). However, the curative criteria for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) for submucosal EBVGC (pT1b-EBVGC) remain unclear. Our study aimed to investigate the risk factors for LNM in pT1b-EBVGC. METHODS This was a retrospective multicenter study at five institutes in Japan. We reviewed medical records and extracted all pT1b-EBVGC cases that met the following criteria: (i) histologically proven submucosal gastric cancer; (ii) surgical or endoscopic resection between January 2000 and December 2016; and (iii) presence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) in tumor cells verified by EBV-encoded small RNA in situ hybridization (EBER-ISH). The association between clinicopathological factors and LNM were assessed using multivariable logistic regression analysis. RESULTS A total of 185 pT1b-EBVGC cases were included in the analysis. LNM was found in nine cases (4.9%). Multivariable logistic regression analysis demonstrated that lymphatic invasion (OR 9.1; 95% CI 2.1-46.1) and submucosal invasion ≥4000 μm (OR 9.2; 95% CI 1.3-110.3) were significant risk factors for LNM. When we focused on pT1b-EBVGC without lymphatic invasion and with submucosal invasion <2000 μm, the rate of LNM was 0% (0/96, 95% CI 0-3.8%). CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicated that lymphatic invasion and submucosal invasion ≥4000 μm were significant risk factors for LNM. ESD could be an appropriate option for pT1b-EBVGC without lymphatic invasion and with submucosal invasion <2000 μm.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Epstein-Barr virus-associated gastric cancer(EBVaGC)has a unique tumor immune microenvironment. We performed a comprehensive analysis of the tumor-infiltrating immune cells in a cohort of EBVaGC in a Chinese population. METHODS Epstein-Barr encoding region (EBER) in situ hybridization was performed in 1,328 consecutive cases of surgically resected GC. Densities of immune cells, including T cells, B cells, natural killer cells, and macrophages from the patients were calculated after immunohistochemical staining with CD3, CD20, CD57, and CD68 antibodies in tissue microarrays, respectively. RESULTS EBVaGC patients accounted for 4.1% (55 of 1,328) cases in the overall population. The average age of patients with EBVaGC was lower than that of non-EBVaGC patients. Histologically, EBVaGC patients exhibited poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma (P = 0.004) and lower frequency of vascular invasion (P = 0.034). The density of CD3+ T lymphocytes (CD3, 23.84 ± 14.49 vs. 12.76 ± 8.93, P < 0.001) and CD68+ macrophages (CD68, 9.73 ± 5.25 vs. 5.44 ± 4.18, P < 0.001) was significantly higher in EBVaGC patients. CD3+ T cell density predicted better 5-year overall survival of EBVaGC patients (P = 0.022). CONCLUSIONS EBVaGC patients were younger with low-differentiated adenocarcinoma and less vascular invasion. Increased infiltration of multiple immune cells affected the prognosis of patients, especially EBVaGC patients with more CD3+ T lymphocytes, who survived longer.

Abstract
The classification of gastric cardiac carcinoma (GCC) is controversial. It is currently grouped with esophageal adenocarcinoma (EAC) as an adenocarcinoma of the gastroesophageal junction (GEJ). Recently, diagnostic criteria for adenocarcinoma in the GEJ were established and GCC was separated from EAC. We viewed published evidence to clarify the GCC entity for better patient management. GCC arises in the cardiac mucosa located from 3 cm below and 2 cm above the GEJ line. Compared with EAC, GCC is more like gastric cancer and affects a higher proportion of female patients, younger patients, those with a lower propensity for reflux disease, a wider histopathologic spectrum, and more complex genomic profiles. Although GCC pathogenesis mechanisms remain unknown, the two-etiology proposal is appealing: in high-risk regions, the Correa pathway with Helicobacter pylori infection, chronic inflammation, low acid and intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia and carcinoma may apply, while in low-risk regions the sequence from reflux toxin-induced mucosal injury and high acid, to intestinal metaplasia, dysplasia and carcinoma may occur. In early GCC a minimal risk of nodal metastasis argues for a role of endoscopic therapy, whereas in advanced GCC, gastric cancer staging rules and treatment strategy appear to be more appropriate than the esophageal cancer staging scheme and therapy for better prognosis stratification and treatment. In this brief review we share recent insights into the epidemiology, histopathology and genetics of GCC and hope that this will stimulate further investigations in order to improve the clinical management of patients with GCC.

Abstract
Nonexposed wall-inversion surgery was invented for the treatment of node-negative gastrointestinal tumors that are difficult to be resected using the endoluminal approach alone. The advantages of this surgery include 1. full-thickness resection procedure of gastrointestinal wall with minimum necessary tumor-negative margins and 2. less risk of bacterial contamination and tumor seeding into the abdominal cavity. We conducted a PubMed search to select relevant articles published until the end of October 2019 for pooled case analyses using the keyword “nonexposed wall-inversion surgery,” Based on our search, we enrolled the data of 88 gastric lesions and 1 duodenal lesion retrieved from 7 case report articles and 4 original articles of clinical cases. The gastric lesions consisted of 59 gastrointestinal stromal tumors, 7 ectopic pancreases, 5 leiomyomas, 3 early gastric cancers, and 14 others, with a mean maximal tumor diameter of 25.0 mm. In 5 lesions (5.7%), intraoperative perforation was performed, and 2 lesions (2.3%) were retrieved by the transabdominal route. All 4 major postoperative complications (4.5%) were managed without resurgical interventions. The duodenal case, neuroendocrine tumor, measuring 13 mm in size, was curatively resected without complications. Nonexposed wall-inversion surgery appears to be an acceptable treatment for node-negative gastric and duodenal tumors; however, further accumulation of cases is necessary to confirm the feasibility.

Abstract
Epstein-Barr virus-positive gastric cancer (EBVGC) comprises approximately 9% of all gastric cancers and is associated with a low prevalence of lymph node metastasis (LNM). Given that limited data concerning LNM in EBV-related early GC are available, EBV status is not considered an indicator for endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD). In this review, we focused on pT1 EBVGC and on gastric carcinoma with lymphoid stroma (GCLS), and discuss expanded ESD indications and curative resection criteria. In pT1b EBVGC, the incidence of LNM was low (6/180 patients, 3.3%; 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.2-7.1), especially in lymphovascular invasion-negative EBVGC (1/109 patients, 0.9%). No patients with pT1a EBVGC had LNM (0/38 patients, 0%; 95% CI 0-7.6), even those who did not meet the current curative ESD criteria. Although the frequency of LNM in GCLS was low (5.0-10.6%), the incidence of LNM in non-EBV GCLS was relatively high (10.0-20.0%); therefore, EBV status can be considered a more important factor than GCLS. In summary, the clinicopathological characteristics of EBVGC differ from those of conventional GC, and EBV negativity is a risk factor for LNM in early GC. Therefore, patients in this group are likely to be promising candidates for ESD, and we recommend that EBV status evaluation be included in early GC treatment guidelines.

Abstract
: Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) is a ubiquitous human herpes virus, but related with several types of malignancies. Among EBV-related malignancies, EBV-associated gastric carcinoma (EBVaGC) has the largest patient's number. We screened for EBV infection in 1067 GC lesions of 1132 patients who underwent surgical resection from 2007 to 2017 in Japan and examined clinicopathological features of EBVaGC. EBV infection was detected by in situ hybridization with EBV-encoded small RNA 1(EBER-1 ISH). EBV was infected in 80 GC lesions (7.1%). Mean age was significantly lower in patients with EBVaGC than with EBV-negative GC. EBVaGC was more frequent in men than in women. EBVaGC was found twice as frequent in the upper or middle stomach as in the lower stomach. Early EBVaGC was more frequent, and submucosally invaded cases were dominant. The presence of lymphatic vessel invasion was less in EBVaGC, but frequency of lymph node metastasis was similar. Carcinoma with lymphoid stroma (CLS) was found in 3.8% (43/1132) of all lesions with 60.5% of EBV positivity. The synchronous or metachronous multiple GC was frequent in EBVaGC. We clarified clinicopathologic characteristics of EBVaGC over the past decade in Japan. EBV infection should be examined in gastric cancer cases showing these characteristics.

Abstract
Objective Lymphovascular infiltration (LVI) is frequently detected in gastric cancer (GC) specimens. Studies have revealed that GC patients with LVI have a poorer prognosis than those without LVI. Methods In total, 1,007 patients with curatively resected GC at Department of Gastric Cancer, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute and Hospital were retrospectively enrolled. The patients were categorized into two groups based on the LVI status: a positive group (PG; presence of LVI) and a negative group (NG; absence of LVI). The clinicopathological factors corrected with LVI and prognostic variables were analyzed. Additionally, a pathological lymphovascular-node (lvN) classification system was proposed to evaluate the superiority of its prognostic prediction of GC patients compared with that of the eighth edition of the N staging system. Results Two hundred twenty-four patients (22.2%) had LVI. The depth of invasion and lymph node metastasis were independently associated with the presence of LVI. GC patients with LVI demonstrated a significantly lower overall survival (OS) rate than those without LVI (42.8% vs. 68.9%, respectively; P<0.001). In multivariate analysis, LVI was identified as an independent prognostic factor for GC patients (hazard ratio: 1.370; 95% confidence interval: 1.094−1.717; P=0.006). Using strata analysis, significant prognostic differences between the groups were only observed in patients at stage I−IIIa or N0−2. The lvN classification was found to be more appropriate to predict the OS of GC patients after curative surgery than the pN staging system. The −2 log-likelihood of lvN classification (4,746.922) was smaller than the value of pN (4,765.196), and the difference was statistically significant (χ2=18.434, P<0.001).
Conclusions The presence of LVI influences the OS of GC patients at stage I−IIIa or N0−2. LVI should be incorporated into the pN staging system to enhance the accuracy of the prognostic prediction of GC patients.
