Abstract
As the most successful therapy for missing teeth, dental implant has become increasingly prevalent around the world. A lot of papers have reported diverse local risk factors affecting the success and survival rate of dental implants, either for a short or a long period. However, there are also many types of systemic disorders or relatively administrated medicine that may jeopardize the security and success of dental implant treatment. Additionally, the coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic also poses a challenge to dental implant clinicians. Some of these risk factors are clinically common but to some extent unfamiliar to dentists, thus optimal measurements are often lacking when they occur in dental clinics. In this review, we analyze potential systemic risk factors that may affect the success rate of dental implants. Some of them may affect bone mineral density or enhance the likelihood of local infection, thus impeding osseointegration. Others may even systemically increase the risk of the surgery and threaten patients' life. In order to help novices receive high-risk patients who need to get dental implant treatment in a more reasonable way, we accordingly review recent research results and clinical experiments to discuss promising precautions, such as stopping drugs that impact bone mineral density or the operation, and addressing any perturbations on vital signs.

Abstract
Media has become a major source of information on health and plays a role in the decision-making process on health topics. We aimed to evaluate the association between zolpidem use and media broadcasts that reported the suicide risk. We obtained the data of adult outpatients who have been prescribed zolpidem or other hypnotics from the National Patient Sample database (2015–2017). We evaluated the change in zolpidem or other hypnotic prescription trends based on the prescription rate and average daily prescribed dose before and after July 2016, using interrupted time series analysis. A total of 129,787 adult patients had at least one zolpidem prescription in 3 years. The prescription rate of zolpidem after the broadcast decreased significantly by 0.178% (95% confidence interval (CI): −0.214, −0.142), whereas that of other hypnotic users did not differ from that before the broadcast (−0.020%, 95% CI: −0.088, 0.047). However, the trends in the prescription rate before and after the broadcast did not differ for zolpidem and other hypnotics. Broadcasting medication safety through major public media could have an effect on medication use. After broadcasting about the suicide risk of zolpidem, its overall prescription rate decreased immediately, but the trend was not changed.

Abstract
PURPOSE A nationwide prospective drug utilization review (DUR) for potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) in older adults was implemented in October 2015 in South Korea. We aimed to evaluate the effects of the DUR on reducing PIMs, in comparison with the PIMs defined using the Beers criteria that were not included in the DUR. METHODS We divided the study period into a pre- and post-DUR period. The monthly percentage of patients or prescriptions with at least one PIM in the DUR or defined by the Beers criteria was calculated using national health insurance data. We evaluated the effect of the DUR on the prevalence of PIM use in older adults using an interrupted time series with segmented regression analysis. RESULTS The prevalence of older adults prescribed PIMs in the DUR decreased by 0.49% (95% confidence interval (CI) [-0.60, -0.37]) based on patient-based measures and, by 0.41% (95% CI [-0.58, -0.23]) based on prescription-based measure, immediately after DUR implementation. However, there were no statistically significant changes in trend. Further, the prevalence of PIMs based on the Beers criteria had no statistically significant changes in terms of either level or trend. After 12 months of DUR, there was a reduction of 11.5% (95% CI [2.6 20.4]) relative to the PIMs in Beers. CONCLUSIONS The implementation of a nationwide prospective DUR lowered the prescription of PIMs for older adults. On the other hand, PIMs that were not included were unchanged. Thus, it is worth considering expanding the DUR list to improve prescribing safety.
