Abstract
One-pot synthesis of structurally diverse sulfurized/selenated 4-aminopyrimidines has been reported via t-BuOK/K2S2O8-promoted four-component reaction of mixed nitriles and disulfides/diselenides. Mechanistic studies indicate that the reaction proceeds through radical and ionic pathways, and an alkenyl sulfide serves as a key intermediate.

Abstract
Organochalcogen molecules have extensive applications in various fields. They serve as pharmaceuticals, ligands, organocatalysts, agrochemicals, and other functional materials. Difunctionalization of olefins, which belong to a class of multicomponent reactions, is a successful technique for introducing two functional moieties in a single-step reaction, both in terms of atom economy and step economy. The difunctionalization of olefins with diorganyl dichalcogenides may effectively increase the molecular complexity, which has achieved significant advancements in recent decades. This article describes recent advancements in the difunctionalization of olefins with diorganyl diselenides and diorganyl disulfides.

Abstract
By employing Cu(CH3CN)4PF6 as the catalyst and tert-butyl hydroperoxide as the oxidant, we realized a three-component radical selenosulfonation of substituted maleimides, sulfonyl hydrazides, and diphenyl diselenides, providing a series of 3,4-selenosulfonylated succinimides in moderate to good yields. This reaction features broad substrate scopes, high functional-group tolerability, and feasibility of gram-scale synthesis, enabling one-step construction of C-SO2 and C-Se bonds under mild reaction conditions. Preliminary mechanistic studies support the free-radical-induced pathway.

Abstract
In this review, we have discussed recent developments on the direct selenosulfonylation of unsaturated compounds which lead to the formation of two new carbon-sulfur and carbon-selenium bonds in a single operation. The reactions were classified based on the type of starting unsaturated compound and product. Thus, the review is divided into three major sections. The first describes the current literature on selenosulfonylation of alkenes. The second section covers the available literature on selenosulfonylation of alkynes. The third focuses exclusively on selenosulfonylation of allenes. In this review, we have discussed recent developments on the direct selenosulfonylation of unsaturated compounds which lead to the formation of two new carbon-sulfur and carbon-selenium bonds in a single operation.![]()

Abstract
A novel and practical method for the selenosulfonation of alkynes with the insertion of sulfur dioxide has been developed. A series of β-(seleno)vinyl sulfones with high levels of regio- and stereoselectivity have been prepared. The key features of this reaction include a broad substrate scope, excellent functional-group tolerance, and amenability to scale-up synthesis. A plausible radical mechanism is proposed to illustrate this reaction.
