Turing pattern induced by the directed ER network and delay

Infectious diseases generally spread along with the asymmetry of social network propagation because the asymmetry of urban development and the prevention strategies often affect the direction of the movement. But the spreading mechanism of the epidemic remains to explore in the directed network. In this paper, the main effect of the directed network and delay on the dynamic behaviors of the epidemic is investigated. The algebraic expressions of Turing instability are given to show the role of the directed network in the spread of the epidemic, which overcomes the drawback that undirected networks cannot lead to the outbreaks of infectious diseases. Then, Hopf bifurcation is analyzed to illustrate the dynamic mechanism of the periodic outbreak, which is consistent with the transmission of COVID-19. Also, the discrepancy ratio between the imported and the exported is proposed to explain the importance of quarantine policies and the spread mechanism. Finally, the theoretical results are verified by numerical simulation.

Long-term prediction of the sporadic COVID-19 epidemics induced by δ -virus in China based on a novel non-autonomous delayed SIR model

With the outbreaks of the COVID-19 epidemics in several provinces of China, government takes prevention and control measures to contain the epidemics. It is more difficult to make the long-term prediction of the sporadic COVID-19 epidemics than widespread ones in that the former cannot obey the laws of the infectious disease well like the latter. In this paper, we make long-term predictions including end time and final size, peak and peak time of current confirmed cases and the number of accumulative removed cases of the sporadic COVID-19 epidemics in different regions of China by a novel non-autonomous delayed SIR compartment model (S-susceptible, I-infected, R-removed). The key contribution of this paper is that under the rigorous containments, we find transmission rate β ( t ) is approximately an exponential decreasing function with respect to time t, rather than a fixed constant. In addition, the removed rate γ ( t ) is approximately a piecewise linear increasing function instead of a linear increasing function which is (at + b)heaviside (t-14). First, according to the few data in the early stage, i.e., roughly the first 7 days, issued by the National Health Commission of China and local Health Commissions, we can accurately estimate these parameters, i.e., transmission and removed rates of the model. Then, by them, we accurately predict the evolution of the COVID-19 there. On the basis of them to predict Category A of the sporadic COVID-19 epidemics since July 20th, 2021 in this summer. The results agree very well to the actual ones. It is also adopted to predict Category B - - - the tour group epidemics since October 17th, 2021 and Category C - - - other sporadic epidemics since October 27th, 2021. The results show that although our method is simple and the needed data are very few, the long-term prediction of the sporadic COVID-19 epidemics in China is quite effective. We can use this novel non-autonomous delayed SIR model to accurately predict its end time and final size, peak and peak time of current confirmed cases and the number of accumulative removed cases in China. This work can help governments and policy-makers make optimal prevention and control policies for all cities and provinces to contain the COVID-19 epidemics, and prepare well for the resumption of work, production and classes in advance to reduce the economic and social losses.

Predicting the Death Rate Around the World Due to COVID-19 Using Regression Analysis

Nowadays, COVID-19 is considered to be the biggest disaster that the world is facing. It has created a lot of destruction in the whole world. Due to this COVID-19, analysis has been done to predict the death rate and infected rate from the total population. To perform the analysis on COVID-19, regression analysis has been implemented by applying the differential equation and ordinary differential equation (ODE) on the parameters. The parameters taken for analysis are the number of susceptible individuals, the number of Infected Individuals, and the number of Recovered Individuals. This work will predict the total cases, death cases, and infected cases in the near future based on different reproductive rate values. This work has shown the comparison based on 4 different productive rates i.e. 2.45, 2.55, 2.65, and 2.75. The analysis is done on two different datasets; the first dataset is related to China, and the second dataset is associated with the world's data. The work has predicted that by 2020-08-12: 59,450,123 new cases and 432,499,003 total cases and 10,928,383 deaths.

Long-term predictions of current confirmed and dead cases of COVID-19 in China by the non-autonomous delayed epidemic models

In this paper, we make long-term predictions based on numbers of current confirmed cases, accumulative dead cases of COVID-19 in different regions in China by modeling approach. Firstly, we use the SIRD epidemic model (S-Susceptible, I-Infected, R-Recovered, D-Dead) which is a non-autonomous dynamic system with incubation time delay to study the evolution of the COVID-19 in Wuhan City, Hubei Province and China Mainland. According to the data in the early stage issued by the National Health Commission of China, we can accurately estimate the parameters of the model, and then accurately predict the evolution of the COVID-19 there. From the analysis of the issued data, we find that the cure rates in Wuhan City, Hubei Province and China Mainland are the approximately linear increasing functions of time t and their death rates are the piecewisely decreasing functions. These can be estimated by finite difference method. Secondly, we use the delayed SIRD epidemic model to study the evolution of the COVID-19 in the Hubei Province outside Wuhan City. We find that its cure rate is an approximately linear increasing function and its death rate is nearly a constant. Thirdly, we use the delayed SIR epidemic model (S-Susceptible, I-Infected, R-Removed) to predict those of Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang and Anhui Provinces. We find that their cure rates are the approximately linear increasing functions and their death rates are the small constants. The results indicate that it is possible to make accurate long-term predictions for numbers of current confirmed, accumulative dead cases of COVID-19 by modeling. In this paper the results indicate we can accurately obtain and predict the turning points, the end time and the maximum numbers of the current infected and dead cases of the COVID-19 in China. In spite of our simple method and small data, it is rather effective in the long-term prediction of the COVID-19.

Mathematical Modeling and Forecasting of COVID-19 in Moscow and Novosibirsk Region

We investigate inverse problems of finding unknown parameters of mathematical models SEIR-HCD and SEIR-D of COVID-19 spread with additional information about the number of detected cases, mortality, self-isolation coefficient, and tests performed for the city of Moscow and Novosibirsk region since 23.03.2020. In SEIR-HCD the population is divided into seven groups, and in SEIR-D into five groups with similar characteristics and transition probabilities depending on the specific region of interest. An identifiability analysis of SEIR-HCD is made to reveal the least sensitive unknown parameters as related to the additional information. The parameters are corrected by minimizing some objective functionals which is made by stochastic methods (simulated annealing, differential evolution, and genetic algorithm). Prognostic scenarios for COVID-19 spread in Moscow and in Novosibirsk region are developed, and the applicability of the models is analyzed.
