Abstract
The escalating issue of water pollution has become a worldwide issue that has captured the attention of numerous scientists. Molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have emerged as adaptable materials with exceptional attributes, including easy synthesis, low cost, remarkable durability, long life, and accessibility. These attributes have motivated researchers to develop novel materials based on MIPs to tackle hazardous contaminants in environmental matrices. The purpose of this paper was to conduct a bibliometric analysis on MIPs' publications, in order to shed light on the developments and focus points of the field. The selected publications were obtained from Scopus database and subjected to a filtering process, resulting in 11,131 relevant publications. The analysis revealed that the leading publication source (journal) is Biosensors and Bioelectronics; the mostly employed keywords are solid-phase extraction, electrochemical sensor, and molecular recognition; and the top contributing countries are China, Iran, and the USA. The Latent Dirichlet Allocation (LDA) algorithm was used for extracting thematic axes from the textual content of the publications. The results of the LDA model showcase that the topic of synthesis and performance of MIPs for environmental applications can be considered as the most dominant topic with a share value of 72.71%. From the analysis, it can be concluded that MIPs are a cross-disciplinary research field.

Anal Chim Acta 2023; 1253:341055. [PMID: 36965997 DOI: 10.1016/j.aca.2023.341055] [Citation(s) in RCA: 0] [Impact Index Per Article: 0] [Reference Citation Analysis] [Abstract] [Key Words] [Track Full Text] [Journal Information] [Subscribe] [Scholar Register] [Received: 02/01/2023] [Revised: 02/14/2023] [Accepted: 03/05/2023] [Indexed: 03/09/2023]
Abstract
BACKGROUND Organophosphorus pesticides are widely used in agriculture owing to their high effectiveness as insecticides. Among these, diazinon is a common environmental contaminant that acts as an acetylcholinesterase (AChE) enzyme inhibitor. As the current methods are too expensive and time-consuming for routine analysis of diazinon, its trace monitoring by rapid and sensitive methods is critical to protect the environment and human health. RESULTS A biosensor was introduced for the indirect detection of diazinon using a molybdenum disulfide/zirconium metal-organic framework (MoS2@MIP-202(Zr)) nanocomposite. The probe is based on the peroxidase mimic of the prepared nanocomposite on NaHCO3-H2O2 chemiluminescence system as well as the inhibitory effect of diazinon on the enzymatic activity of AChE. The chemiluminescence signal is gradually decreased with an increase in diazinon concentration, and there is a linear relationship between the analytical signal and diazinon concentration. Under the optimum conditions, the calibration plot is linear in the concentration range of 0.5-300.0 nmol L-1. The limit of detection and quantification limit of the method are 0.12 and 0.40 nmol L-1, respectively. The inter-day and intra-day relative standard deviations (% RSD n = 5, diazinon concentration; 100 nmol L-1) are 3.66 and 1.35%, respectively. The method was used for diazinon detection in real water samples, and the high relative recovery values for the spiked samples along with satisfactory results of a certified reference material analysis confirmed that the method is accurate and free from the matrix effect. SIGNIFICANCE AND NOVELTY A nano-probe based on the peroxidase-like property of MoS2@MIP-202(Zr) nanocomposite was developed for the first time for indirect detection of residue levels of diazinon in water samples. The high stability of the nanocomposite makes it a good alternative for natural peroxidase enzymes such as horseradish peroxidase with low stability.

Abstract
Extensive use of organophosphorus pesticides in agriculture leads to adverse effects to the environment and human health. Sample preparation is compulsory to enrich target analytes prior to detection as they often exist at trace levels and this step is critical as it determines the concentration of pollutants present in samples. The selection of a suitable extraction method is of great importance. The analytical performance of the extraction methods is influenced by the selection of sorbents as sorbents play a vital role in the sensitivity and selectivity of an analytical method. To date, numerous sorbent materials have been developed to cater to the needs of selective and sensitive pesticides' detection. Comprehensive details pertaining to extraction methods, developed sorbents, and analytical performance are provided. This review intended to provide a general overview on different extraction techniques and sorbents that have been developed in the last 10 years for organophosphorus pesticides' determinations in food and water samples.

Abstract
Nowadays, there is an urgent need for the investigation of the field dissipation and assessment of the preharvest interval for trichlorfon residues on rice. To protect consumers from potential health risks, this study can provide references for the safe application of trichlorfon in the rice fields. Results of the field dissipation study showed that the dissipation dynamic equations of trichlorfon were based on the first-order reaction dynamic equations and that the dissipation rates vary among rice plant, brown rice, rice bran, soil, and water. The 2-year field trials conducted in Yangzhou and Xiaogan suggested the interval of each application for trichlorfon on rice to be at least 7 days when 80 % trichlorfon SP was sprayed with a dose ranges between 80 and 160 a.i g/667 m(2). Additionally, the preharvest interval of the last application should be at least 15 days to ensure the amounts of residues below the maximum residue limits of trichlorfon on brown rice (0.1 mg/kg).

Abstract
Carcinogen contaminations in the food chain, for example heavy metal ions, pesticides, acrylamide, and mycotoxins, have caused serious health problems. A major objective of food-safety research is the identification and prevention of exposure to these carcinogens, because of their impossible-to-reverse tumorigenic effects. However, carcinogen detection is difficult because of their trace-level presence in food. Thus, reliable and accurate separation and determination methods are essential to protect food safety and human health. This paper summarizes the state of the art in separation and determination methods for analyzing carcinogen contamination, especially the advances in biosensing methods. Furthermore, the application of promising technology including nanomaterials, imprinted polymers, and microdevices is detailed. Challenges and perspectives are also discussed.
