Abstract
OBJECTIVES Cancer accounts for 22% of all mortality and is the leading cause of death among Hispanic and/or Latinx patients in the United States. The disparities in access to radiation therapy (RT), mortality rates, and treatment outcomes among Hispanic-American breast cancer patients compared with other populations highlight the urgent need for targeted interventions. The Navigator-Assisted Hypofractionation (NAVAH) program, with its innovative patient navigation approach and culturally sensitive survey, aims to better identify the specific barriers faced by this population. This study is a report of the NAVAH program experience piloting a Spanish-language culturally sensitive survey in Hispanic-American volunteers. METHODS Hispanic-American volunteers with fluency in Spanish were recruited to participate in survey conduction, identified from local networks. Survey information was assessed by topic category, and survey responses were amalgamated into a representative score for each category. Survey categories include acceptability (comfort and prejudice among interactions with the system), accessibility (transportation, distance to care, and health care literacy), accommodation (access to the internet, navigating transportation), affordability (financial considerations, employment, and level of education), and availability (access to a medical center, coordinating care, and overall quality of care). RESULTS A total of 6 volunteers meeting inclusion criteria completed the survey; 4 in person and 2 by telephone. The median survey completion time was 12 minutes 38 seconds. Respondents noted satisfaction and trust in their interactions with medical providers; however, responses in the acceptability category highlighted a high perception of disparities in the medical system, including a high prevalence of racial and ethnic prejudice and a high prevalence of treatment differences between high-income and low-income patients in clinical settings. CONCLUSIONS In the first Spanish-language survey of its kind, our findings indicate that this survey design is feasible in the Hispanic-American population. Implementation of this survey in breast cancer patients will provide more definitive and comprehensive answers regarding other categories in the survey, including financial challenges during treatment, access to accommodations, and perception of treatment during cancer care. The investigation involving patients actively receiving breast cancer RT is currently underway.

Abstract
Chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cell therapy, a groundbreaking immunotherapy. However, it faces formidable challenges in treating solid tumors, grappling with issues like poor trafficking, limited penetration, and insufficient persistence within the tumor microenvironment (TME). CAR-T cells are engineered to express receptors that target specific cancer antigens, enhancing their ability to recognize and eliminate cancer cells. This review paper explores the intricate interplay between CAR-T therapy and radiotherapy (RT), investigating their synergistic potential. Radiotherapy, a standard cancer treatment, involves using high doses of radiation to target and damage cancer cells, disrupting their ability to grow and divide. We highlight that RT modulates the TME, augments antigen presentation, and promotes immune cell infiltration, bolstering CAR-T cell-mediated tumor eradication. Molecular insights shed light on RT-induced alterations in tumor stroma, T cell recruitment promotion, and induction of immunogenic cell death. Noteworthy, strategies, such as combining hypofractionated radiotherapy with myeloid-derived suppressor cell blockade, underscore innovative approaches to enhance CAR-T cell therapy in solid tumors. Bridging indications for RT and CAR-T cells in hematological malignancies are discussed, emphasizing scenarios where RT strategically enhances CAR-T cell efficacy. The paper critically evaluates the RT as a bridge compared to traditional chemotherapy, highlighting timing and dosage considerations crucial for optimizing CAR-T therapy outcomes. In summary, the paper provides valuable insights into the intricate molecular mechanisms activated by RT and innovative strategies to improve CAR-T cell therapy, fostering a deeper understanding of their combined potential in cancer treatment.

Abstract
A multifunctional nanoplatform is obtained by modifying copper hexacyanoferrate (Cu-HCF) nanozyme with hyaluronic acid (HA) and further loading platinum (Pt) nanoparticles. This Cu-HCF-HA@Pt platform shows peroxidase-like and glutathione oxidase-like dual-enzyme catalytic activities and photothermal properties, enabling synergistic chemodynamic and photothermal tumor therapy. HA binds to the CD44 receptor, which is highly expressed on the exterior surface of tumor cells, endowing the nanoplatform with tumor specificity. Cu-HCF-HA@Pt catalyzes the decomposition of H2O2 to produce abundant hydroxyl radicals within tumor cells, increasing intracellular oxidative stress levels and inducing tumor cell apoptosis. Meanwhile, Cu-HCF-HA@Pt catalyzes the conversion of intracellular reduced glutathione (GSH) to oxidized glutathione, resulting in GSH exhaustion. The conversion of CuII to CuI in Cu-HCF via a Fenton-like reaction can improve the peroxidase-like property of Cu-HCF-HA@Pt. After the probe is targeted to the tumor site, irradiation by an 808 nm near-infrared laser causes local heating and brings about photothermal tumor apoptosis when reaching 45 °C. The prepared Cu-HCF-HA@Pt combines nanozyme-catalyzed therapy with photothermal therapy to induce apoptosis in tumor cells.

Abstract
The worldwide prevalence of cancer and its significantly rising risks with age have garnered the attention of nanotechnology for prompt detection and effective therapy with minimal or no adverse effects. In the current study, heparin (HP) polymer derived heteroatom (N, S-) co-doped CDs were synthesized using hydrothermal synthesis method to efficiently deliver natural anticancer compound baicalin (BA). Heparin carbon dots (HCDs) were passivated with polyethylenimine (PEI) to improve its fluorescence quantum yield. The surface passivation of CDs by polycationic PEI polymer not only facilitated loading of BA, but also played a crucial role in the pH-responsive drug delivery. The sustained release of BA (up to 80 %) in mildly acidic pH (5.5 and 6.5) conditions endorsed its drug delivery potential for cancer-specific microenvironments. BA-loaded PHCDs exhibited enhanced anticancer activity as compared to BA/PHCDs indicating the effectiveness of the nanoformulation, Furthermore, the flow cytometry analysis confirmed that BA-PHCDs treated cells were arrested in the G2/M phase of cell cycle and had a higher potential for apoptosis. Bioimaging study demonstrated the excellent cell penetration efficiency of PHCDs with complete cytoplasmic localization. All this evidence comprehensively demonstrates the potency of BA-loaded PHCDs as a nanotheranostic agent for cancer.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES The purpose of this study is to conduct the first bibliometric analysis which examines eHealth communication technologies in prostate cancer care, and the utilization of internet-based health information and communication technology by men with prostate cancer. METHODS Original articles were extracted from the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCI-E) on Web of Science (WOS) and analyzed concerning their distributions. Quantitative guidance directed investigation of findings from previous studies and trending issues within the field. The WOS, VOSViewer and CiteSpace IV were used for information analysis. RESULTS 302 articles were included in the final analysis. There has been a 165 % increase in productivity over the past decade. The leading country by publication was the USA (145 articles = 48.02 %). Journals which published the highest number of original articles were the Journal of Medical Internet Research (6.95 %), and Patient Education and Counseling (4.64 %). DISCUSSION AND PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS The field of research which examines utilization and impacts of internet-based health information on men with prostate cancer is growing and diverse. Research frontiers are 'Information quality and diversity', 'eHealth literacy', 'decision making', and 'survivorship and advanced disease'. Clinicians should be aware of several significant limitations which exist within the current field of research.

Abstract
PURPOSE Cancer is the leading cause of death for the Hispanic/Latinx United States (US) community, which comprises 64% of the US population with limited English proficiency. Despite the common use of radiation therapy for cancer treatment, there is a dearth of radiation therapy educational materials-at appropriate reading levels-available in Spanish. To address the gap in patient-centered educational resources for communicating with Spanish-speaking patients about radiation therapy, we sought to linguistically and culturally adapt the Communicating the External Beam Radiotherapy Experience (CEBRE) clinical discussion guide series into Spanish. METHODS AND MATERIALS From January to December 2021, we developed and applied a stepwise methodology for Spanish adaptation of the discussion guides involving (1) professional translation; (2) interprofessional review for linguistic and cultural appropriateness and medical accuracy; (3) design review; and (4) evaluation for readability, understandability, and actionability using validated tools. We applied 4 indices for readability evaluation: Gilliam-Peña-Mountain, Läsbarhetsindex, Rate Index, and the Spanish Simple Measure of Gobbledygook. Two trained reviewers assessed understandability and actionability using the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool. RESULTS After 2 revision rounds, 4 CEBRE en español discussion guides were produced through an interprofessional, iterative translation and linguistic/cultural adaptation process. Readability scores across the 4 guides ranged from 4.3 to 7.3 grade-level equivalents, thereby meeting the American Medical Association's 8th-grade standard. Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool analysis yielded near-perfect scores along understandability and actionability domains. CONCLUSIONS The stepwise linguistic/cultural adaptation process yielded a patient-centered guide that is appropriately readable, understandable, and actionable for Spanish-speaking patients receiving radiation therapy in the US. Future work should include an external evaluation of CEBRE en español by clinicians and patients. The methodology described can be applied to adapting resources for patient-centered communication in other fields of medicine and into other languages as part of an interprofessional approach to delivering equitable health care for all.

Abstract
Introduction The internet has become a mainstay source of health information for cancer patients. Online patient education videos are common; however, there have been no studies examining the quality of publicly available videos on radiotherapy for lung cancer (one of the most common forms of cancer). To fill this knowledge gap, we aim to systematically map and objectively assess videos discussing radiotherapy for lung cancer on YouTube. Methods The terms “radiotherapy for lung cancer,” “radiation for lung cancer,” “radiation therapy for lung cancer,” and “radiation treatment for lung cancer” were searched on YouTube using a clear-cache browser. Results were sorted by relevance and the top 50 English-language results for each search were recorded. After removing duplicates, each video was assessed for length, Video Power Index (VPI, which is the product of a video’s average daily views and like and dislike ratio), source, content, comment moderation, and misinformation. Two raters were used to ensure consistency. Results were evaluated using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results A total of 88 unique videos resulted from the search. The median video length was 4 minutes and 5 seconds. The average VPI was 10.9 (95% CI: 1.5-20.4) and the median number of views was 954.5. All videos were published between July 8, 2009 and November 18, 2020. Of the videos, 44% were published within the past two years. A total of 61% of the videos were from the USA, 14% were from the UK, 6% from Australia, 5% each from Canada and India, and other countries make up the remaining 10%. Most of the videos were published by healthcare facilities (39%) and non-profit organizations (31%). Content-wise, 95% of videos contain information specific to lung cancer. A total of 46 videos (52%) were targeted toward patient education. Of which, 37 covered radiotherapy for lung cancer, 12 covered side effects for radiotherapy, and 11 covered both. The other 42 videos (48%) were designed for a professional audience. Stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT)/stereotactic ablative radiotherapy (SABR) was the most commonly described radiotherapy modality (42%), and the physician interview was the most common format, being used in 59% of videos. Out of the 38 videos with at least one comment, only two (5%) were moderated by the host channel. None of the videos featured misleading information. Conclusions This study comprehensively surveyed YouTube videos pertaining to radiotherapy for lung cancer to provide a high-level overview of the information that patients may find online. Although nearly half of the videos describe lung cancer radiotherapy for patients, only a small proportion comprehensively cover both radiotherapy and its side effects. The results of our study can help guide the development of patient education tools and encourage healthcare providers to recognize the limitations of online health information and proactively address patient questions regarding radiotherapy. Future research could examine videos on other lung cancer treatment options or radiotherapy for other cancers.

Abstract
Interest in and awareness of bladder cancer may translate to better health-seeking behaviors and earlier detection, given modifiable risk factors such as smoking. We assessed bladder cancer interest in the USA over the past 15 years as reflected by Internet search trends, and correlated these trends with epidemiologic patterns in bladder cancer. Google Trends was used to estimate US bladder cancer interest in the unit search volume index (SVI), which estimates the volume of online search activity for a specified period relative to the highest volume of searches within a specified location. Between January 2004 and June 2019, SVIs were collected for the search term "bladder cancer" and other related search terms. To evaluate the effect of public awareness campaigns, the SVIs for the month of May (US bladder cancer awareness month) were compared with the SVIs of all other months. Correlations between "bladder cancer" SVI and incidence, mortality, and mortality-to-incidence ratio (proxy for survival) by state were evaluated. There was no increase in the relative search volumes for "bladder cancer" during the national bladder cancer awareness month compared with all other months (p = 0.27). By state, there were positive correlations between SVIs of "bladder cancer" and incidence (R = 0.72, p < 0.001) and mortality (R = 0.47, p < 0.001). However, there was no correlation between SVIs and mortality-to-incidence ratio (R = - 0.24, p = 0.08). Interest in bladder cancer is positively associated with disease incidence and mortality but not survival, suggesting interest is driven by new diagnoses or deaths, and not early detection that can improve survival. Our findings may show the need for better public education endeavors.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The purpose of this study is to assess the readability, understandability, and quality of information on retinopathy of prematurity presented at websites frequently visited by parents. METHODS A total of 220 websites were assessed, which were recruited by searching for "retinopathy of prematurity" at the Google search engine. The readability of each web page was assessed by Flesch Reading Ease Score, Gobbledygook's Gunning Frequency, Flesch Kincaid Grade Level, Coleman Liau score, The Simple Measure of Gobbledygook, Fry Graph Readability Formula, and Automated readability score. The understandability of the web pages included in the study was measured by using the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool. Quality was evaluated using Health in Net code and JAMA. The ALEXA traffic tool was used to reference the domains' popularity and visibility. RESULTS Sixty-four websites were included to the study. The average Flesch Reading Ease Score was 50.1 ± 11.4, Gunning Frequency of Gobbledygook level was 13.4 ± 2.5, The Flesch-Kincaid Grade level was 10.7 ± 2.2, Coleman Liau level was 10.8 ± 1.7, Simple Measure of Gobbledygook level was 10.0 ± 1.9, and Fry Graph Readability Formula 11.9 ± 2.7, Automated readability score 10.4 ± 2.5. The average understandability score for all website-based patient education materials was 76.9 ± 15.2. Total JAMA Benchmark score is 2.27 ± 1.14 (range from 1 to 4). The quality of information at most websites were determined by our chosen assessments to not to be good. CONCLUSION Websites addressed to parents for retinopathy of prematurity had found to have high understandability. It was concluded based on this study that readability and quality of presented written materials at online sources need to be improved.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Health-seeking behaviors change during pandemics and may increase with regard to illnesses with symptoms similar to the pandemic. The global reaction to COVID-19 may drive interest in vaccines for other diseases. OBJECTIVES Our study investigated the correlation between global online interest in COVID-19 and interest in CDC-recommended routine vaccines. DESIGN, SETTINGS, MEASUREMENTS This infodemiology study used Google Trends data to quantify worldwide interest in COVID-19 and CDC-recommended vaccines using the unit search volume index (SVI), which estimates volume of online search activity relative to highest volume of searches within a specified period. SVIs from December 30, 2019 to March 30, 2020 were collected for "coronavirus (Virus)" and compared with SVIs of search terms related to CDC-recommended adult vaccines. To account for seasonal variation, we compared SVIs from December 30, 2019 to March 30, 2020 with SVIs from the same months in 2015 to 2019. We performed country-level analyses in ten COVID-19 hotspots and ten countries with low disease burden. RESULTS There were significant positive correlations between SVIs for "coronavirus (Virus)" and search terms for pneumococcal (R = 0.89, p < 0.0001) and influenza vaccines (R = 0.93, p < 0.0001) in 2020, which were greater than SVIs for the same terms in 2015-2019 (p = 0.005, p < 0.0001, respectively). Eight in ten COVID-19 hotspots demonstrated significant positive correlations between SVIs for coronavirus and search terms for pneumococcal and influenza vaccines. LIMITATIONS SVIs estimate relative changes in online interest and do not represent the interest of people with no Internet access. CONCLUSION A peak in worldwide interest in pneumococcal and influenza vaccines coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic in February and March 2020. Trends are likely not seasonal in origin and may be driven by COVID-19 hotspots. Global events may change public perception about the importance of vaccines. Our findings may herald higher demand for pneumonia and influenza vaccines in the upcoming season.

The quality, understandability, readability, and popularity of online educational materials for heart murmur. Cardiol Young 2020; 30:328-336. Abstract
OBJECTIVE Murmurs are abnormal audible heart sounds produced by turbulent blood flow. Therefore, murmurs in a child may be a source of anxiety for family members. Families often use online materials to explore possible reasons for these murmurs, given the accessibility of information on the Internet. In this study, we evaluated the quality, understandability, readability, and popularity of online materials about heart murmur. METHODS An Internet search was performed for "heart murmur" using the Google search engine. The global quality score (on a scale of 1 to 5, corresponding to poor to excellent quality) and Health on the Net code were used to measure the quality of information presented. The understandability of the web pages identified was measured using the Patient Education Materials Assessment Tool (score range from 0 to 100%, scores below 70% reflect poor performance). The readability of each web pages was assessed using four validated indices: the Flesch Reading Ease Score, the Flesch-Kincaid Grade Level, the Gunning Frequency of Gobbledygook, and the Simple Measure of Gobbledygook. The ALEXA traffic tool was used to reference domains' popularity and visibility. RESULTS We identified 230 English-language patient educational materials that discussed heart murmur. After exclusion, a total of 86 web pages were evaluated for this study. The average global quality score was 4.34 (SD = 0.71; range from 3 to 5) indicating that the quality of information of most websites was good. Only 14 (16.3%) websites had Health on the Net certification. The mean understandability score for all Internet-based patient educational materials was 74.6% (SD = 12.8%; range from 31.2 to 93.7%). A score suggesting these Internet-based patient educational materials were "easy to understand". The mean readability levels of all patient educational materials were higher than the recommended sixth-grade reading level, according to all indices applied. This means that the level of readability is difficult. The average grade level for all web pages was 10.4 ± 1.65 (range from 7.53 to 14.13). The Flesch-Kincaid Grade level was 10 ± 1.81, the Gunning Frequency of Gobbledygook level was 12.1 ± 1.85, and the Simple Measure of Gobbledygook level was 9.1 ± 1.38. The average Flesch Reading Ease Score was 55 ± 9.1 (range from 32.4 to 72.9). CONCLUSION We demonstrated that web pages describing heart murmurs were understandable and high quality. However, the readability level of the websites was above the recommended sixth-grade reading level. Readability of written materials from online sources need to be improved. However, care must be taken to ensure that the information of web pages is of a high quality and understandable.
