Abstract
A novel quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensor for trace-phosphoprotein ultrafast detection was constructed based on the bridge interactions between the NH2-TiO2 sites enriched on Au-electrode and phosphate groups. Herein, 11-mercaptoundecanoic acid (MUA) modified by Au-S bond acted as carrier for immobilizing NH2-TiO2. Functionalized NH2-TiO2 to absorb phosphoproteins. Under the optimal conditions, the proposed sensor showed a linear frequency shift to the concentration of α-casein ranging from 1.0 × 10-3 to 1.0 mg mL-1 with a low detection limit of 5.3 × 10-6 mg mL-1 (S/N = 3), and the limit of quantitation was 0.001 mg mL-1. Compared with traditional Ti4+-IMAC/MOAC-system, the analysis process of NH2-TiO2/MUA/AuE-QCM sensor was simpler and faster which could complete within 5 min. Additionally, the constructed biosensor was successfully used for the non-fat milk and chicken egg white. This proposed sensor presents a great prospective strategy for the evaluation of the nutrition in different foods.

Abstract
In the present work, a new amantadine (AM) imprinted quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) sensor sensitized by Au nanoparticles (AuNPs) and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) material was fabricated by electrodeposition in the presence of o-aminothiophenol (o-AT) by cyclic voltammetry scanning. AuNPs and graphene, with the advantages of great chemical stability, electrical conductivity, and large surface area, show exceptionally high sensitivity. The results of different modifications of the QCM sensor fabrication process were characterized using transmission electron microscopy (TEM), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and Raman spectroscopy. Under the optimal experimental conditions, the frequency shift of the MIP-QCM sensor showed a linear relationship with the concentration of the AM template in the range of 1.0 × 10−5 to 1.0 × 10−3 mmol L−1 with a limit of detection (LOD) of 5.40 × 10−6 mmol L−1. The imprinting factor for AM reached 7.1, the selectivity coefficient for the analogues rimantadine (RT), adamantine (AMT) and 1-chloroadamantane (CMT) were 7.3, 5.6, and 6.1, respectively. Here, a highly sensitive, selective and stable QCM sensor prepared via the imprinting approach is reported for the first time for detection of AM from animal-derived food samples. In the present work, a new amantadine imprinted quartz crystal microbalance sensor sensitized by Au nanoparticles and reduced graphene oxide material was fabricated by electrodeposition of o-aminothiophenol by cyclic voltammetry scanning.![]()

Abstract
Molecular imprinted polymers (MIPs) are tailor-made materials with selective recognition to the target. The goals of this study were to prepare cholesterol imprinted polymeric nanospheres (CIPNs) and optimize their adsorption parameters and also to use CIPNs for adsorption of cholesterol (CHO), which is an important physiological biomacromolecule, from gastrointestinal mimicking solution (GIMS). Pre-polymerization complex was prepared using CHO as template and N-methacryloylamido-(l)-phenylalanine methyl ester (MAPA). This complex was polymerized with 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate (HEMA). CHO was removed by MeOH and tetrahydrofuran (THF). Adsorption studies were performed after chacterization studies to interrogate the effects of time, initial concentration, temperature, and ionic strength on CHO adsorption onto CIPNs. Maximum adsorption capacity (714.17mg/g) was higher than that of cholesterol imprinted polymers in literature. Pseudo-second-order kinetics and Langmuir isotherm fitted best with the adsorption onto CIPNs. 86% of adsorbed cholesterol was desorbed with MeOH:HAc (80:20, v/v) and CIPNs were used in adsorption-desorption cycle for 5-times with a decrease as 12.28%. CHO analogues; estron, estradiol, testosterone, and progesterone were used for competitive adsorption. The relative selectivity coefficients of CINPs for cholesterol/estron and cholesterol/testosterone were 3.84 and 10.47 times greater than the one of non-imprinted polymeric nanospheres (NIPNs) in methanol, respectively.

Abstract
An innovative biosensor assembly relying on a simple and straightforward in-situ construction is presented to monitor urinary 8-hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) down to the pmol/L level. The sensing film of the biosensor consisted of a molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP) layer for 8-OHdG assembled on a gold electrode through electropolymerization of monomer combined with the template. The analytical features of the resulting biosensor were assessed by Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS). Some experimental parameters such as the initial concentration of the monomer and the ratio template-monomer were investigated and optimized in order to finely tune the performance of the MIP-based sensor. Under optimal conditions, the developed biosensor was able to rebind 8-OHdG with a linear response against EIS from 0.1 to 100pg/ml 3.5-3500 pM. The interference of coexisting species was tested, also with calibrations on urine samples, and good selectivity towards 8-OHdG was obtained. RAMAN spectroscopy, FTIR and SEM evaluations of the prepared films confirmed the formation of a polyphenol thin-film on the electrode surface. The presence and distribution of the imprinted cavities on the MIP layer was confirmed by confocal microscopy imaging of the film, after a post-treatment with Fluorescein Isothiocyanate (FITC) labeled 8-OHdG antibody. Overall, this label-free biosensor for urinary 8-OHdG detection constitutes a promising low-cost alternative to the conventional immunoassay approaches, due to its simplicity, stability, high sensitivity and selectivity for biological sample assays, opening new doors for other applications.

Abstract
A photoresponsive surface molecularly imprinted polymer for uric acid in physiological fluids was fabricated through a facile and effective method using bio-safe and biocompatible ZnO nanorods as a support. The strategy was carried out by introducing double bonds on the surface of the ZnO nanorods with 3-methacryloxypropyltrimethoxysilane. The surface molecularly imprinted polymer on ZnO nanorods was then prepared by surface polymerization using uric acid as template, water-soluble 5-[(4-(methacryloyloxy)phenyl)diazenyl]isophthalic acid as functional monomer, and triethanolamine trimethacryl ester as cross-linker. The surface molecularly imprinted polymer on ZnO nanorods showed good photoresponsive properties, high recognition ability, and fast binding kinetics toward uric acid, with a dissociation constant of 3.22×10(-5)M in aqueous NaH2PO4 buffer at pH=7.0 and a maximal adsorption capacity of 1.45μmolg(-1). Upon alternate irradiation at 365 and 440nm, the surface molecularly imprinted polymer on ZnO nanorods can quantitatively uptake and release uric acid.

Abstract
In this work, a novel solid fluorescence method was proposed and applied to the fast determination of quercetin in urine and onion skin samples by using metal coordination imprinted polymer membrane, which was regarded as a recognition element. The quercetin-Al(III) imprinted polymer was immobilized in the microporous polypropylene fiber membrane via consecutive in situ polymerization. The CIP membrane had the porous, loose and layer upon layer structure. The CIP membrane was characterized by electron microscope photographs, infrared spectra, thermogravimetric analysis and solvent-resistant investigation. The extraction conditions including extraction solvent, extraction time, desorption solvent were optimized. Compared with MIP and NIP membrane, CIP membrane had been proved to be peculiar selective for quercetin even in presence of the structurally similar compounds such as kaempferol, rutin, naringenin and alpinetin. The CIP membrane was characteristic of high selectivity, stable and sensitive response to quercetin in polar environment. Under the optimum condition, there was a linear relationship between the state fluorescent response and the concentration of quercetin. The linear calibration range was over 0.02 mg L(-1)-0.80 mg L(-1) with a detection limit of 5 μg L(-1). The method was characteristic of flexible and good repeatability with relative standard deviation (RSD) of 4.1%. The proposed method was also successfully applied for the determination of quercetin in urine and onion skin samples without complicated pretreatment. The recoveries were 84.0-112.4% and RSDs varied from 1.5% to 6.8%. The results obtained by the proposed method agreed well with those obtained by HPLC method.

Abstract
In the present work, a new caffeic acid imprinted quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) nanosensor has been designed for selective assignation of caffeic acid in plant materials. Methacrylamidoantipyrine-iron(III) [MAAP-Fe(III)] as metal-chelating monomer has been used to prepare selective molecular imprinted polymer (MIP). MIP film for detection of caffeic acid has been developed on QCM electrode and selectivity experiments and analytical performance of caffeic acid imprinted QCM nanosensor has been studied. The caffeic acid imprinted QCM nanosensor has been characterized by AFM. After the characterization studies, imprinted and non-imprinted nanosensors was connected to QCM system for studies of connection of the target molecule, selectivity and the detection of amount of target molecule in real samples. The detection limit was found to be 7.8 nM. The value of Langmuir constant (b) (4.06 × 10(6)) that was acquired using Langmuir graph demonstrated that the affinity of binding sites was strong. Also, selectivity of prepared caffeic acid imprinted nanosensor was found as being high compared to chlorogenic acid. Finally, the caffeic acid levels in plant materials was determined by the prepared QCM nanosensor.

For this purpose, Quartz Crystal Microbalance (QCM) and Surface Plasmon Resonance (SPR) sensors have been developed for the recognition of hemagglutinin (HA) which is a major protein of influenza A virus. 4-Aminophenyl boronic acid (4-APBA) has been synthesized and used as a new ligand for binding of sialic acid (SA) via boronic acid-sugar interaction. SA has an important role in binding of HA. QCM and SPR sensor surfaces have been modified with thiol groups and then 4-APBA and SA have been immobilized on sensor surfaces, respectively. Sensor surfaces have been screened with AFM and used for the determination of HA from aqueous solution. The selective recognition of the QCM and SPR sensors toward Concanavalin A has been reported in this work. Also, the binding capacity and detection limits of QCM and SPR sensors have been calculated and detection limits were found to be 4.7 × 10(-2) μM, (0.26 μg ml(-1)) and 1.28 × 10(-1) μM, (0.72 μg ml(-1)) in the 95% confidence interval, respectively.

Controllable Imprinted Polymer Layer Coated Silica-Gel for S-1-(1-Naphthyl) Ethylamine Recognition by ATRP. ACTA ACUST UNITED AC 2012. Abstract
Controlled grafting ofS-1-(1-naphthyl) Ethylamine-imprinting polymer layer on the silica-gel was carried out by the surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP). Polymerization time was used as the independent variable to manipulate the amount of grafted imprinting polymer on the silica-gel. For comparison, molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) without silica-gel also prepared at the same condition. SEM, FT-IR and UV spectrum were used to study the structural morphology and selectivity of polymers and probe the incorporation of imprinted polymer layer on the surface of substrates. Results indicate that the integration of ATRP and molecularly imprinted polymerization realize preparation of molecular selective polymers and it is possible to tune selectivity and morphology in rational way by changing polymerization times. Meanwhile, we achieve a reference strategy for the development of molecularly imprinting polymer for drugs and to handle forms in certain applications such as chromatographic stationary phases for chiral separations.

Abstract
Molecular imprinting technology (MIT) concerns formation of selective sites in a polymer matrix with the memory of a template. Recently, molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs) have aroused extensive attention and been widely applied in many fields, such as solid-phase extraction, chemical sensors and artificial antibodies owing to their desired selectivity, physical robustness, thermal stability, as well as low cost and easy preparation. With the rapid development of MIT as a research hotspot, it faces a number of challenges, involving biological macromolecule imprinting, heterogeneous binding sites, template leakage, incompatibility with aqueous media, low binding capacity and slow mass transfer, which restricts its applications in various aspects. This critical review briefly reviews the current status of MIT, particular emphasis on significant progresses of novel imprinting methods, some challenges and effective strategies for MIT, and highlighted applications of MIPs. Finally, some significant attempts in further developing MIT are also proposed (236 references).
