Abstract
BACKGROUND Exposure to tobacco, e-cigarette, or cannabis marketing is associated with adolescent use. Few studies have examined advertising exposure prevalence and patterns across these products concurrently. METHODS This study assessed past 30-day recalled exposure to promotional messages about tobacco, e-cigarettes ("vapes" on the survey), and cannabis ("marijuana") from various sources among California adolescents (ages 12-17) in the 2022 Teens, Nicotine, and Tobacco Online Survey (N = 2530). Principal components analysis (PCA) was conducted to examine the underlying structure and patterns in advertising exposure sources. Multivariable logistic regression was used to evaluate associations between any advertising exposure and future use expectations (a susceptibility measure) in one year and at age 25 among current never-users. RESULTS Overall, 65.9% of participants recently noticed at least one tobacco (52.5%), vape (51.5%), or marijuana (45.6%) advertisement. Gas stations or convenience stores were the most common source for tobacco or vape ads; billboards were for marijuana ads. In PCA, advertising exposure patterns correlated with advertising source, not the type of product. Exposures from tobacco-specific sources and nearer point of sale were associated with current use, older age, LGBTQ + identity, and sensation seeking. Among never-users, advertising exposure was associated with one-year and age-25 use expectations for cigarettes (one-year expectations adjusted odds ratio: 1.7; 95% CI: 1.1, 2.5), vapes (2.3; 1.5, 3.5), and marijuana (2.1; 1.5, 3.0). CONCLUSION California adolescents' exposure to tobacco, e-cigarette, and cannabis marketing is common, follows similar patterns, and is associated with use susceptibility. Comprehensive restrictions on marketing accessible to adolescents could help prevent youth use.

Abstract
INTRODUCTION Despite the high cannabis use rates among sexual minority (SM) individuals, less research has examined factors related to cannabis use among SM (vs. heterosexual) individuals, especially in places with legal medical cannabis retail markets and high structural stigma, like Oklahoma. METHODS Data were from a survey of Oklahoma adults, including 3020 females (18.6% SM) and 2279 males (10.1% SM). Bivariate analyses examined associations of sexual identity with cannabis-related factors (i.e., perceived harm, positive attitudes, marketing exposure, depressive symptoms, anxiety symptoms) and cannabis use and use severity (i.e., past 30-day use, daily/near-daily use, cannabis use disorder [CUD] symptoms). Logistic regression examined associations of sexual identity and cannabis-related factors with cannabis use and use severity among females and males, separately. RESULTS SM (vs. heterosexual) females reported greater odds of past 30-day cannabis use and daily/near-daily use, lower harm perceptions, greater marketing exposure, and higher rates of depressive/anxiety symptoms. Lower harm perceptions and greater marketing exposure were associated with greater odds of past 30-day use, whereas marketing exposure was associated with greater odds of daily/near-daily use. SM (vs. heterosexual) males reported greater odds of daily/near-daily use and higher rates of depressive/anxiety symptoms. CONCLUSIONS SM (vs. heterosexual) females reported higher rates of cannabis use, whereas SM (vs. heterosexual) females and males reported higher rates of daily/near-daily cannabis use. Potential targets for cannabis-related health campaigns aimed at reducing use differences include correcting misinterpretations of harm that may emanate from cannabis marketing efforts among females and addressing depressive symptoms among males.

Abstract
There is limited evidence about the relationship between socioeconomic status (SES) and youth electronic cigarette use, particularly among sexual minorities. This study investigates whether family affluence is significantly associated with e-cigarette use among youth, including sexual minority youth. Data came from the 2021 National Youth Tobacco Survey (N = 10,515). The prevalence of e-cigarette use for all participants and sexual minority youth (N = 1376) by SES was calculated and ranked according to the Family Affluence Scale. A propensity score weighting method was used to address the imbalance in characteristics among SES groups. The associations of SES with current e-cigarette use and current flavored e-cigarette use were estimated using univariate survey logistic regression for all participants and self-identified sexual minority students. The prevalence of e-cigarette use was similar among socioeconomic groups for all participants and sexual minorities. The propensity score weighting analysis showed no significant association between SES and current e-cigarette use for all participants and sexual minority students. Equally, there was no significant association between SES and current flavored e-cigarette use. Findings suggest that other protective and risk factors might explain youth e-cigarette use more than SES (family affluence scale).

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sexual minorities face mental health disparities compared to heterosexual people. There is limited research on the possible connections between mental health and e-cigarette use among sexual minority youth. This study examines anxiety, depression, and e-cigarette use for sexual minority youth only and between sexual minorities versus straight youth. METHODS Study data were drawn from the 2021 National Youth Tobacco Survey (n = 16,065). Prevalence of self-reported anxiety and depression by sexual minority status was calculated, and the univariate analysis was assessed using Rao-Scott Chi-Square tests. Multivariable logistic regression models were used to evaluate the association of current e-cigarette use with self-reported anxiety and depression among sexual minority youth. The study also examined current e-cigarette use between sexual minorities versus straight students for those with or without anxiety and depression, and stratified analyses were performed by sex. RESULTS Analysis showed a substantially higher prevalence of all self-reported mental health problems among sexual minorities than straight students. Sexual minority males with anxiety (aOR 1.91, 95 % CI, 1.22-3.00), depression (aOR 2.08, 95 % CI, 1.27-3.40), moderate depression and anxiety (aOR 1.85, 95 % CI, 1.16-2.97), and severe depression and anxiety (aOR 2.03, 95 % CI, 1.16-3.56) were more likely to be current e-cigarette users than their straight peers with similar mental health conditions. LIMITATIONS Self-reported measures and the analysis design precludes making causal inferences. CONCLUSIONS Sexual minority males with mental health conditions may be particularly vulnerable to e-cigarette use and may require special efforts toward prevention and cessation.
