Abstract
Hermetia illucens is a promising insect due to its ability to convert low-value substrates as food chain by-products into highly nutritious feed. Its feeding and nutrition are important issues. The aim of this work was to investigate the effect of different substrates consisting of coffee silverskin, a by-product of the roasting process, enriched with different inclusions of microalgae (5%, 10%, 20%, and 25%), Schizochytrium limacinum, and Isochrysis galbana, combined with the assessment of environmental sustainability by LCA. In general, the addition of microalgae led to an increase in larval growth performance due to the higher content of protein and lipids, although S. limacinum showed the best results with respect to larvae fed with coffee silverskin enriched with I. galbana. A higher prepupal weight was observed in larvae fed with 10%, 20%, and 25% S. limacinum; shorter development times in larvae fed with 25% of both S. limacinum and I. galbana; and a higher growth rate in larvae fed with 25% S. limacinum. The 10% S. limacinum inclusion was only slightly different from the higher inclusions. Furthermore, 10% of S. limacinum achieved the best waste reduction index. The greater the inclusion of microalgae, the greater the environmental impact of larval production. Therefore, the addition of 10% S. limacinum appears to be the best compromise for larval rearing, especially considering that a higher inclusion of microalgae did not yield additional benefits in terms of the nutritional value of H. illucens prepupae.

Abstract
Aquaculture has become the fastest growing sector in global agriculture. The environmental degradation, diseases, and high density of mariculture has made for an inevitable shift in mariculture production from coastal to deep-sea areas. The influence that traditional coastal and emerging deep-sea farming environments exert on aquatic growth, immunity and gut microbial flora is unclear. To address this question, we compared the growth performance, physiological indicators and intestinal microbiological differences of deep-sea and coastal aquaculture in the Guangxi Beibu Gulf of China. The results showed that the growth performance and the complement of C3 and C4 (C3, C4), superoxide dismutase (SOD), and lysozyme (LYS), these physiological and biochemical indicators in the liver, kidney, and muscle of Trachinotus ovatus (T. ovatus), showed significant differences under different rearing conditions. Metagenome sequencing analysis showed Ascomycota, Pseudomonadota, and Bacillota were the three dominant phyla, accounting for 52.98/53.32 (coastal/deep sea), 24.30/22.13, and 10.39/11.82%, respectively. Aligned against the CARD database, a total of 23/2 (coastal/deep-sea) antibiotic resistance genes were screened and grouped into 4/2 genotypes. It indicated that compared with deep-sea fish, higher biological oxygen levels (3.10 times), inorganic nitrogen (110.00 times) and labile phosphate levels (29.00 times) in coastal waters might contributed to the existence of eutrophication with antibiotic resistance. The results of the study can provide complementary data on the study of the difference between deep-sea farming and traditional coastal farming, serving as a reference to future in-depth work on the transformation of fisheries development and scientific standardization of deep-sea farming.

Abstract
Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is one of the world's industrialized nations' biggest issues. It has a significant influence on the ecosystem and negatively affects human health. The overuse of antibiotics in the healthcare and agri-food industries has historically been defined as a leading factor, although the use of antimicrobial-containing personal care products plays a significant role in the spread of AMR. Lotions, creams, shampoos, soaps, shower gels, toothpaste, fragrances, and other items are used for everyday grooming and hygiene. However, in addition to the primary ingredients, additives are included to help preserve the product by lowering its microbial load and provide disinfection properties. These same substances are released into the environment, escaping traditional wastewater treatment methods and remaining in ecosystems where they contact microbial communities and promote the spread of resistance. The study of antimicrobial compounds, which are often solely researched from a toxicological point of view, must be resumed considering the recent discoveries, to highlight their contribution to AMR. Parabens, triclocarban, and triclosan are among the most worrying chemicals. To investigate this issue, more effective models must be chosen. Among them, zebrafish is a crucial study system because it allows for the assessment of both the risks associated with exposure to these substances as well as environmental monitoring. Furthermore, artificial intelligence-based computer systems are useful in simplifying the handling of antibiotic resistance data and speeding up drug discovery processes.

Abstract
Antibiotic resistance (AR) is a global healthcare threat that requires a comprehensive assessment. Poorly regulated antibiotic stewardship in clinical and non-clinical settings has led to a horizontal dissemination of AR. A variety of often neglected elements facilitate the circulation of AR from antibiotic sinks like concentrated animal feeding operations and healthcare settings to other environments that include healthy human communities. Insects are one of those elements that have received underwhelming attention as vectors of AR, despite their well-known role in transmitting clinically relevant pathogens. We here make an exhaustive attempt to highlight the role of insects as zoonotic reservoirs of AR by discussing the available literature and deriving realistic inferences. We review the AR associated with insects housing various human-relevant environments, namely, animal farm industry, edible-insects enterprise, healthcare institutes, human settlements, agriculture settings and the wild. We also provide evidence-based accounts of the events of the transmission of AR from insects to humans. We evaluate the clinical threats associated with insect-derived AR and propose the adoption of more sophisticated strategies to understand and mitigate future AR concerns facilitated by insects. Future works include a pan-region assessment of insects for AR in the form of AR bacteria (ARB) and AR determinants (ARDs) and the introduction of modern techniques like whole-genome sequencing, metagenomics, and in-silico modelling.

Abstract
Antibiotic resistance (AR) represents a global concern for human health. To the best of the authors' knowledge, no study addressing AR in surströmming, a traditional Swedish fermented herring, has been performed to date. The aim of the present research was to study the prevalence of tet(O), tet(S), tet(W), tet(K), and tet(M) genes encoding for resistance to tetracycline using quantitative PCR (qPCR) applied to ready-to-eat surströmming samples collected from three producers located in Sweden. The tet(M) gene was found in all the analyzed samples, and it was also the most abundant among the tested tet genes; moreover, tet(O) was the least frequently detected gene. As a general trend, all the analyzed samples showed a high occurrence of the target genes, with slight variations among the producers. A principal component analysis did not reveal any separation among the samples or producers. All the collected data allowed for a drawing of a first picture of the occurrence of tetracycline resistance genes in ready-to-eat surströmming samples. Since no differences among the samples manufactured by the different producers were observed, it is likely that the detected genes were homogeneously spread among the microbial species shared by the herrings used as raw materials. Moreover, it can be hypothesized that the presence of the detected genes was also the result of a selective pressure of the natural marine environment on the herrings' gut microbiota and, hence, on the pro-technological microorganisms responsible for the fermentation of surströmming. However, the contribution of the manufacturers to the contamination of the processed herrings cannot be excluded.

Abstract
Antibiotics and antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) in the aquatic environment have raised great concerns, as the deleterious effects of residual antibiotics and the emergence of ARGs are challenges to aquaculture. This study analyzed feed, water, sediment and prawns' tissues from six culture ponds (integrated culture: rice-prawn pond; monoculture: prawn pond) in Tianjin, Northeast China. Eighteen types of antibiotics were detected in all ponds, which conferring to four classes of antibiotics including sulfonamides, tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, macrolides. The mean log bioaccumulation factor (BAF) values for five antibiotics were analyzed in the hepatopancreas, muscle, and plasma, and we found the maximum Log BAF (1.45) for enrofloxacin in prawn plasma. Correlation analysis of antibiotic concentrations between the plasma and the other two tissues indicated that enrofloxacin, norfloxacin, and erythromycin levels in the hepatopancreas and muscle can be predicted by their plasma concentrations. We also conducted a hazard quotient analysis and found that the risk to human health of eating antibiotic-exposed prawns from the two types of aquaculture method was relatively low. Compared with monoculture, rice-prawn co-culture could significantly decrease the abundance of ARGs; additionally, significant correlations were detected among ARGs, antibiotics, and non-antibiotic environmental factors (e.g., total nitrogen, total ammonia nitrogen, and chemical oxygen demand) in prawn. The present study indicated that the rice-prawn co-culture system is more effective than monoculture for mitigating the bioaccumulation of antibiotics and the occurrence of ARGs in prawn.
