Abstract
Objective: Existing literature has sought to characterize the broad cognitive impact of non-central nervous system cancer and its treatment, including chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and hormonal regulation. However, despite the frequency of women that are diagnosed with breast and gynecological cancer, there is limited research on the specific cognitive experiences of women undergoing cancer treatment. Presently, the current literature lacks concise guidance for neuropsychologists to support the cognitive health of women facing cancer, despite the acknowledged impact of cancer interventions and chronic illness on cognitive outcomes. Method: Applying scoping review criteria outlined by Peters et al. (2015) and adhering to Preferred Reporting Items for Systemic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, we conducted a comprehensive examination of literature spanning multiple databases (Google Scholar, PubMed, PsychINFO) with a focus on the cognitive impact of cancer treatment on women. Conclusions: Women are subject to unique treatment-related outcomes due to the impact of hormonal alterations, differences in metabolization of certain chemotherapies, and psychosocial risk factors. Despite the known impact of cancer intervention, chronic illness, and cancer-related sequelae on cognitive outcomes, the current literature does not parsimoniously outline best practices for neuropsychologists to promote the health of women experiencing cancer. The current paper (1) provides an overview of the cognitive implications of cancer treatment with an intentional focus on cancers that are more prevalent in women versus men, (2) addresses the characteristics of this impact for women undergoing cancer intervention(s), and (3) provides possible intervention and treatment strategies for mental health providers and neuropsychologists.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Due to advancements in methods of cancer treatment, the population of people living with and beyond cancer is dramatically growing. The number of cancer survivors developing cardiovascular diseases and heart failure is also rising, due in part to the cardiotoxic nature of many cancer treatments. Guidelines are being increasingly released, emphasising the need for interdisciplinary action to address this gap in survivorship care. However, the extent to which interventions exist, incorporating the recommendations of cardio-oncology research, remains undetermined. OBJECTIVE The aim of this scoping review is to assess the nature, extent and remit of existing cancer care interventions and their integration of cardio-oncology principles. METHODS The review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA Extension for Scoping Reviews Guidelines. Databases were independently searched for articles from 2010 to 2022, by two members of the research team. Data were charted and synthesised using the following criteria: (a) the focus of the intervention (b) the medium of delivery (c) the duration (d) the modalities included in the interventions (e) the research articles associated with each intervention (f) the type of studies conducted (g) key measures used (h) outcomes reported. RESULTS Interventions encompassed six key modalities: Psychological Support, Physical Activity, Nutrition, Patient Education, Lifestyle and Caregiver Support. The focus, medium of delivery and duration of interventions varied significantly. While a considerable number of study protocols and pilot studies exist documenting HSMIs, only 25% appear to have progressed beyond this stage of development. Of those that have, the present review did not identify any 'feasible' interventions that covered each of the six modalities, while being generalisable to all cancer survivors and incorporating the recommendations from cardio-oncology research. CONCLUSION Despite the substantial volume of research and evidence from the field of cardio-oncology, the findings of this scoping review suggest that the recommendations from guidelines have yet to be successfully translated from theory to practice. There is an opportunity, if not necessity, for cardiac rehabilitation to expand to meet the needs of those living with and beyond cancer.

Abstract
Introduction Breast cancer often leads to cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI), which includes both objective and subjective cognitive deficits. While psychosocial interventions benefit quality of life and distress reduction, their impact on cognitive deficits is uncertain. This study evaluates the integration of a cognitive module into a digital psychosocial intervention for breast cancer patients. Methods In this randomized controlled trial (RCT), 88 recently diagnosed breast cancer (BC) patients will receive the ICOnnecta't program (control group) - a digital stepped intervention addressing a variety of psychosocial needs. The experimental group (n = 88) will receive ICOnnecta't plus a cognitive module. Assessments at baseline, 3, 6, and 12 months will measure the interventions' impact on cognition, emotional distress, medication adherence, quality of life, post-traumatic stress, work functioning and healthcare experience. Feasibility and cost-utility analyses will also be conducted. Results The cognitive module includes three levels. The first level contains a cognitive screening using FACT-Cog Perceived Cognitive Impairment (PCI). Patients with PCI <54 progress to a cognitive psychoeducational campus (Level 2) with content on cognitive education, behavioural strategies and mindfulness. Patients with persistent or worsened PCI (≥6) after 3 months move to Level 3, an online cognitive training through CogniFit software delivered twice a week over 12 weeks. Conclusions This study assesses whether integrating a cognitive module into a digital psychosocial intervention improves objective and subjective cognition in breast cancer patients. Secondary outcomes explore cognitive improvement's impact on psychosocial variables. The research will contribute to testing efficacious approaches for detecting and addressing cognitive dysfunction in breast cancer patients. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov, NCT06103318. Abstract
OBJECTIVES To summarize recent evidence on the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of videoconference (VC) group-based patient and caregiver education. METHODS Systematic searches of the literature were conducted. Data was extracted on the characteristics of the studies and interventions and on the feasibility, acceptability, and effectiveness of the interventions. RESULTS From 12,570 hits, 65 studies were eligible for inclusion. Their results confirmed previously identified tendencies of high feasibility and acceptability of VC group patient education, and improved health outcomes. However, evidence of effectiveness is limited, and the quality of studies is varied. Several patient and caregiver groups also remain under-researched. Only four studies stated that facilitators were trained in using VC-technology. CONCLUSION VC group-based patient and caregiver education is feasible and acceptable and may improve health outcomes for participant patients and caregivers. However future research should increase the number of high-quality randomized controlled trials to establish the effectiveness of VC group-based education for several groups of patients and caregivers. Studies of the training of facilitators is also warranted. PRACTICE IMPLICATIONS The results suggest that interventions should be more accessible. An overview of the recent evidence may also stimulate the development and evaluation of VC group-based patient and caregiver education.

Abstract
PURPOSE Cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) is under-addressed by healthcare professionals owing to a lack of clinical management guidelines. This European Delphi study proposes recommendations to healthcare professionals for the management of CRCI in patients with non-central nervous system (non-CNS) cancers. METHODS Twenty-two recommendations were developed based on a literature review and authors' clinical experience, split into three categories: screening, cognitive assessment, intervention. The survey included European professionals, experts in CRCI. The Delphi method was used: experts rated the clinical relevancy of recommendations on a 9-point Likert scale in three rounds. A recommendation was accepted if all votes were between 7 and 9. Recommendations not accepted in round 1 and round 2 were deleted, or modified and rated in round 3. RESULTS Eighteen professionals (psychologists, physicians, researchers) voted and accepted 15 recommendations. Experts recommended the systematic screening of CRCI, followed by a short objective cognitive assessment, if complaints screened. A comprehensive evaluation is recommended if CRCI persists 6 months post-treatment. Cognitive rehabilitation, physical activity, meditative-movement therapy, and multimodal intervention should be offered. Recommendations about frequency and duration of interventions, the professional to administer cognitive rehabilitation and the use of meditation and cognitive training without psychoeducation were not accepted. CONCLUSIONS This survey provides 15 recommendations to assist healthcare professionals in detecting, assessing and offering interventions for CRCI. IMPLICATIONS FOR CANCER SURVIVORS These recommendations should be included in supportive care to help healthcare professionals to detect CRCI and propose the best available intervention for patients with cognitive complaints. Developing CRCI management in clinical settings would improve patients' quality of life.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To examine the effect of interventions used to enhance cognitive function in patients experiencing cancer-related cognitive impairment. METHODS Studies including adults with a non-metastatic cancer who have received chemotherapy as part of their treatment and who have undergone interventions targeting cancer-related cognitive impairment were included. Studies involving patients with metastatic cancer and pre-existing cognitive deficits were excluded. Academic Search Complete, CINAHL Plus with full text, MEDLINE, Education Full Text, PsycARTICLES, PsycINFO, and ERIC were searched for studies published between January 2011 and September 2022. Data extraction and quality appraisal were conducted by two authors and cross-checked by the review team. Quality appraisal was conducted using 12 items from the Mixed Methods Appraisal Tool. Findings were presented narratively without meta-analysis. RESULTS Thirty-one studies were included. Interventions were categorised as integrative/complementary, cognitive behavioural therapy and compensatory strategies, exercise, psychoeducational/psychosocial, brain-training, and pharmacological. Over 100 instruments were identified, including the Functional Assessment of Cancer Therapy-Cognitive, Trail Making Tests-A and B, and instruments measuring secondary outcomes, including depression. Instruments often measured attention and concentration, language, memory, executive function, and/or patient-reported outcomes. Improvements were reported, with most studies measuring some or various aspects of cognitive functioning and very few studies measuring all domains of cognitive functioning, making it difficult to draw definitive conclusions about effectiveness. CONCLUSIONS Various interventions are available to treat cancer-related cognitive impairment. Outcome measurement was inconsistent and future research should prioritise using standardised measures. Current evidence, whilst not being definitive, suggests that certain interventions show greater promise than others, including cognitive behavioural therapy and brain training.

Abstract
PURPOSE The purpose of this study was to investigate the association between loneliness and cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI) in a cohort of breast cancer survivors. METHODS Female breast cancer survivors (stage I-III) reporting cognitive impairments 2 months to 5 years after chemotherapy (n = 61) participated in a prospective, nonblinded, waitlist-controlled pilot study. The intervention was a tailored cognitive rehabilitation program. Data were collected pre-/post-intervention. Loneliness was measured using the UCLA Loneliness Scale. Perceived cognitive function was measured using two subscales of the FACT-Cog and two PROMIS - Applied Cognition short forms. Spearman correlation coefficients were calculated to determine the relationship between loneliness and perceived cognitive function (PCF). RESULTS Participants' loneliness severity was correlated with diminished PCF across all cognitive measures (Spearman r= -0.63 FACT-Cog Perceived Cognitive Impairment, p < 0.0001; r= -0.6 FACT-Cog Perceived Cognitive Abilities, p < 0.0001; r= -0.49 PROMIS Cognitive Ability, p = 0.0002; r = 0.50 PROMIS General Concerns, p = 0.0002). Loneliness scores significantly decreased following participation in the cognitive rehabilitation program in intervention participants as compared to wait-list controls [-5.0 ± 7.24, 95% CI (-8.06, -1.94), p = 0.0025]. CONCLUSIONS Perceived loneliness was significantly and consistently correlated with PCF. The intervention may have served a dual purpose in both addressing cognitive deficits and loneliness. Additional research dedicated to understanding the association between loneliness and cognitive function, as well as screening for and addressing loneliness in clinical oncology settings, may be warranted. IMPLICATIONS FOR REHABILITATIONScreening for and addressing loneliness in oncology rehabilitation settings is warranted.Rehabilitation professionals are well-positioned to screen for and address loneliness during clinic visits as part of routine cancer rehabilitation care.Group settings may be appropriate for addressing cancer-related cognitive impairment in rehabilitation, as these groups may serve the dual purpose of addressing cognitive impairment and loneliness simultaneously.

Abstract
Simple Summary Many persons diagnosed with breast cancer are treated with endocrine therapy and will experience the side effects of endocrine therapy. Cognitive adverse effects of endocrine therapy are increasingly being recognised, and can significantly affect quality of life, adherence and treatment outcome. This review aims to discuss the nature of cognitive dysfunction associated with endocrine therapy, the mechanisms underpinning its development, and evidence-based management strategies. Abstract Endocrine therapy forms the backbone of systemic therapy for the majority of persons with early and late-stage breast cancer. However, the side effects can negatively affect quality of life, and impact treatment adherence and overall oncological outcomes. Adverse effects on cognition are common, underreported and challenging to manage. We aim to describe the nature, incidence, risk factors and underlying mechanisms of endocrine therapy-induced cognitive dysfunction. We conducted a comprehensive literature review of the studies reporting on cognitive dysfunction associated with endocrine therapies for breast cancer. We also summarise prevention and treatment strategies, and ongoing research. Given that patients are taking endocrine therapies for longer durations than ever before, it is essential that these side effects are managed pro-actively within a multi-disciplinary team in order to promote adherence to endocrine therapy and improve patients’ quality of life.

Abstract
The aim of this network meta-analysis was to evaluate the comparative effects of neuropsychological interventions for cancer-related cognitive impairment (CRCI), and to rank the best intervention options for adult cancer patients with CRCI. Twenty-seven eligible randomized controlled trials (RCTs) were searched, and a total of six interventions identified: cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT), cognitive rehabilitation (CR), cognitive training (CT), meditation/mindfulness-based interventions, psychoeducation, and supportive care. In terms of effectiveness, the relative effect size of CBT, CR, and CT in managing subjective cognition had statistically significant differences - 0.94 (0.43-1.44), 0.54 (0.03-1.05), and 0.47 (0.13-0.81), respectively. The most effective interventions to manage the objective cognition of attention were meditation or mindfulness-based interventions: intervention effect size was 0.58 (0.24-0.91). The relative effect size of CT had a statistically significant difference in managing verbal memory, and the intervention effect size was 1.16 (0.12-2.20). The relative effect size of psychoeducation in managing executive function compared with control had a statistically significant difference, which was 0.56 (0.26-0.86). For managing information processing speed, the most effective intervention was CT and the effect size was -0.58 (-1.09--0.06). This network meta-analysis found that CT is the most effective intervention for managing the objective cognition of verbal memory and processing speed; meditation/mindfulness-based interventions may be the best option for enhancing attention; psychoeducation is the most effective intervention for managing executive function; CT may be the best option for managing verbal fluency as the intervention ranking probability. For the management of subjective cognition, CBT may be the most effective intervention.

Abstract
Purpose of Review To describe the various uses of telehealth as it applies to cancer rehabilitation and to review recent findings since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recent Findings Telehealth has numerous applications in cancer rehabilitation including physiatry services, skilled therapies, exercise interventions, symptom management, and support groups. Numerous studies have shown that regular physician and skilled therapy services can be provided through telehealth platforms, though certain clinical situations may require in-person visits. Telehealth exercise-based interventions are feasible, safe, and can improve quality of life. Telehealth also may be an effective tool in symtom management and as a medium for support groups. Summary Telemedicine and telehealth platforms are effective tools in the field of cancer rehabilitation that not only provide increased safety and convenience for a burdened patient population but may also hold the potential to elevate beyond the current standard of care.

Abstract
Telehealth is the delivery of many health care services and technologies to individuals at different geographical areas and is categorized as asynchronously or synchronously. The coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has caused major disruptions in health care delivery to breast cancer (BCa) patients and there is increasing demand for telehealth services. Globally, telehealth has become an essential means of communication between patient and health care provider. The application of telehealth to the treatment of BCa patients is evolving and increasingly research has demonstrated its feasibility and effectiveness in improving clinical, psychological and social outcomes. Two areas of telehealth that have significantly grown in the past decade and particularly since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic are telerehabilitation and teleoncology. These two technological systems provide opportunities at every stage of the cancer care continuum for BCa patients. We conducted a literature review that examined the use of telehealth services via its various modes of delivery among BCa patients particularly in areas of screening, diagnosis, treatment modalities, as well as satisfaction among patients and health care professionals. The advantages of telehealth models of service and delivery challenges to patients in remote areas are discussed.

Abstract
With the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in the United States in March 2020, most ambulatory care environments rapidly pivoted to extensive use to telehealth to protect patients and providers while continuing to provide care. This shift resulted in the expansion of telehealth platforms and workflows. Many behavioral health services can be provided in a telehealth format. The case example in this article illustrates that transition to telehealth is feasible and sustainable. Limitations include preoperative psychological assessments and certain neuropsychological tests requiring material manipulation. Careful consideration of risk factors should be exerted for more vulnerable patient populations.

Abstract
Telemedicine has clear benefits to the cancer population, including reducing the risk of contracting communicable disease, reaching remote populations, and added convenience. With adequate preparation, cancer rehabilitation telemedicine can serve as a suitable substitute for in-person encounters in several situations. There are limits with technologic deficits, reimbursement questions, and the inability to conduct hands-on physical examinations. It is important to appropriately triage patients to the most suitable visit type, whether telemedicine or in person, with aims of reducing unnecessary risks, monitoring for potential complications, and having productive encounters.
