Abstract
AIM Nurses play a crucial role within medical institutions, maintaining direct interaction with patient data. Despite this, there is a scarcity of tools for evaluating nurses' perspectives on patient information security. This study aimed to translate the Information Security Attitude Questionnaire into Chinese and validate its reliability and validity among clinical nurses. DESIGN A cross-sectional design. METHODS A total of 728 clinical nurses from three hospitals in China participated in this study. The Information Security Attitude Questionnaire (ISA-Q) was translated into Chinese utilizing the Brislin two-way translation method. The reliability was assessed through internal consistency coefficient and test-retest reliability. The validity was determined through the Delphi expert consultation method and factor analysis. RESULTS The Chinese version of ISA-Q consists of 30 items. Cronbach's α coefficient of the questionnaire was 0.930, and Cronbach's α coefficient of the six dimensions ranged from 0.781 to 0.938. The split-half reliability and test-retest reliability were 0.797 and 0.848, respectively. The content validity index (S-CVI) was 0.962. Exploratory factor analysis revealed a 6-factor structure supported by eigenvalues, total variance interpretation, and scree plots, accounting for a cumulative variance contribution rate of 69.436%. Confirmatory factor analysis further validated the 6-factor structure, demonstrating an appropriate model fit. CONCLUSION The robust reliability and validity exhibited by the Chinese version of ISA-Q establish it as a dependable tool for evaluating the information security attitudes of clinical nurses. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING PRACTICE The Chinese iteration of the ISA-Q questionnaire offers a profound insight into the information security attitudes held by clinical nurses. This understanding serves as a foundation for nursing managers to develop targeted intervention strategies aimed at fortifying nurses' information security attitudes, thereby enhancing patient safety.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Optimal self-management is the key to home-based cardiac rehabilitation for patients with heart disease. At present, there is a lack of a specific assessment tool to evaluate the home-based cardiac rehabilitation self-management behavior in patients with heart disease. Therefore, the aim of this study was to develop the Home-Based Cardiac Rehabilitation Self-Management Scale and validate its psychometric properties among patients with coronary heart disease. METHODS AND RESULTS A multiphase cross-sectional study was conducted that study covered 3 phases: (1) item generation and revision, (2) item evaluation and preliminary exploration, and (3) assessment of the psychometric properties of the scale. A scale with 21 items was developed to measure the home-based cardiac rehabilitation self-management behavior. The content validity index of the scale was 0.980. In exploratory factor analysis, the 5-factor structure supported by eigenvalues and screen plot explained 74.326% of the total variation. In confirmatory factor analysis, all fitting indicators were acceptable, further supporting the construct validity of the scale. The criterion validity of the scale was 0.783. In the reliability analysis, the Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.882, with a dimensionality range of 0.780 to 0.936. The split-half reliability coefficient and test-retest reliability coefficient were 0.774 and 0.770, respectively. CONCLUSIONS This study is the first to develop and validate a practical tool. This scale can comprehensively and accurately assess the self-management behavior of patients with heart disease in a home-based cardiac rehabilitation environment.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Locomotor capacity (LC) is an important domain of intrinsic capacity and key determinant of functional ability and well-being in older age. The United Nations Decade of Healthy Ageing (2021-2030) calls for strengthening data and research on healthy ageing, including the measurement of older persons' LC. To advance the measurement and monitoring of LC, there is pressing need to identify valid and reliable measures. OBJECTIVE To identify all the available tools that were validated for measurement of LC or of its specific attributes in older people and to assess the methodological quality of the studies and measurement properties of the tools. DESIGN Systematic review. SETTING Anywhere (Community-dwelling; long-term care facility; etc.). SUBJECTS Older people. METHODS We used highly sensitive search strategies to search the following databases: Medline, Embase, Scopus, CINAHL and PsycINFO. The study was conducted following the COnsensus-based Standards for the selection of health Measurement Instruments (COSMIN) methodology for systematic review of outcome measurement instruments. RESULTS A total of 125 studies were included, which assessed tools for balance (n = 84), muscle power (n = 12), muscle strength (n = 32, including four studies about tools for balance and muscle power) and endurance (n = 1). No studies on tools for muscle function, joint function, or locomotor capacity overall, were retrieved. We identified 69 clinician-report or objective assessment tools for balance, 30 for muscle strength, 12 for muscle power and 1 endurance assessment tool. The GRADE assessment of quality of evidence showed that only a few tools have high quality evidence for both sufficient validity and reliability: The Balance Evaluation Systems Test (BESTest), the Mini-Balance Evaluation Systems Test (Mini-BESTest), the Berg Balance Scale (BBS) and the Timed Up and Go (TUG) test. CONCLUSIONS A few tools with high quality evidence for sufficient validity and reliability are currently available for balance assessment in older people that may be recommended for use in clinical and research settings. Further validation studies are required for muscle strength, muscle power and endurance assessment tools.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The benefits of home-based cardiac rehabilitation exercise are well-established and depend on long-term adherence. However, there is no uniform and recognized cardiac rehabilitation criterion to assess home-based cardiac rehabilitation exercise adherence for patients with cardiovascular disease. This study aimed to develop a home-based cardiac rehabilitation exercise adherence scale and to validate its psychometric properties among patients with chronic heart failure. METHODS The dimensions and items of the scale were created based on grounded theory research, literature content analysis, and defined by a Delphi survey. Item analysis was completed to assess the discrimination and homogeneity of the scale. Factor analysis was adopted to explore and validate the underlying factor structure of the scale. Content validity and calibration validity were evaluated using the Delphi survey and correlation analysis, respectively. Reliability was evaluated by Cronbach's α coefficients, split-half reliability coefficients, and test-retest reliability coefficients. RESULTS A scale covering four dimensions and 20 items was developed for evaluating home-based cardiac rehabilitation exercise adherence. The content validity index of the scale was 0.986. In exploratory factor analysis, a four-factor structure model was confirmed, explaining 75.1% of the total variation. In confirmatory factor analysis, the four-factor structure was supported by the appropriate fitting indexes. Calibration validity of the scale was 0.726. In terms of reliability, the Cronbach's α coefficient of the scale was 0.894, and the Cronbach's α coefficients of dimensions ranged from 0.848 to 0.914. The split-half reliability coefficient of the scale was 0.695. The test-retest reliability coefficient of the scale was 0.745. CONCLUSION In this study, a home-based cardiac rehabilitation exercise adherence scale was developed and its appropriate psychometric properties were confirmed.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE To translate the career success in nursing scale (CSNS) into Chinese and evaluate its psychometric properties. BACKGROUND A lower sense of career success seriously affects the enthusiasm of nurses and increases their turnover rate. Therefore, an accurate assessment of the career success level of nurses is necessary. However, China does not have a professional tool for assessing the career success of nurses. METHODS The stratified sampling method was used to recruit participants from 22 hospitals of different grades in 5 cities in China. A total of 650 and 348 subjects were selected for item analysis and reliability and validity tests, respectively, of the translated initial scale. RESULTS The Chinese version of the CSNS (C-CSNS) with 33 items had good psychometric properties. Cronbach's α was 0.960, split-half reliability was 0.893, and ICC within two weeks was 0.981. Exploratory factor analysis extracted 5 common factors that explained 63.73% of the total variance, and confirmatory factor analysis supported acceptable construct validity. CONCLUSION The C-CSNS has adequate construct validity and excellent psychometric properties and can be used for accurate assessment of nurses' career success. IMPLICATIONS FOR NURSING MANAGEMENT A new tool that is more suitable for the Chinese hospital nursing context is available for evaluating Chinese clinical nurses' career success. Nursing managers can formulate appropriate management strategies according to the evaluation results to assist nurses in career development planning, thereby improving their career success level.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES To assesse the characteristics and validity of the Functional Gait Assessment (FGA). Concussion is a frequent brain injury that affect cognition, balance, and mobility. Prediction of the course of recovery after concussion could be achieved using a multidimensional examination. The FGA has been used to assess balance of individuals with concussion. METHODS A prospective cross-sectional study was commenced between 2015-2020 in Pittsburgh, PA, USA, including 27 high schoolers with current complaints of concussion and 86 healthy controls. Participants in both groups provided demographics and completed FGA, Gait Disorientation Test (GDT), and Gait Speed (GS) tests. RESULTS The FGA test correlated significantly with the GS and GDT. The FGA score in adolescents with concussion was significantly lower than healthy controls (U=1574.5, p=0.004). An FGA score less than 27 indicated a positive concussion injury with a sensitivity of 0.33 and a specificity of 0.92. The FGA showed a diagnostic odds ratio of 5.64. The positive and the negative likelihood ratios were of 3.03 and 0.54, respectively. For adolescents with concussion, the FGA showed no floor effect; however, a small ceiling effect (11.1%) was observed. CONCLUSION The FGA was valid and feasible to assess concussion injuries. It should be noted that a full score on the FGA should not be interpreted as full recovery from a concussion injury.

Abstract
BACKGROUND It is significant for the healthy outcome of patients with psoriasis (PSO) to improve their self-management efficacy. A standardized assessment tool, however, was lacking. Therefore, we aimed to develop a self-management efficacy questionnaire for patients with PSO (SMEQ-PSO) and evaluate its psychometric properties. METHODS A cross-sectional study developing clinical evaluation tool was conducted from October 2021 to August 2022. In the process of developing SMEQ-PSO, three phases were involved: item generation, item evaluation, and psychometric evaluation. RESULTS The SMEQ-PSO with five dimensions and 28 items was developed. The questionnaire's content validity index was 0.976. Exploratory factor analysis indicated a five-factor structure (self-efficacy of psychosocial adaptation, self-efficacy of daily life management, self-efficacy of skin management, self-efficacy of disease knowledge management and self-efficacy of disease treatment management) that explained 62.039% of the total variance. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated appropriate fit of the five-factor model. The overall Cronbach'α coefficient was 0.930, the test-retest reliability was 0.768 and the split half reliability coefficients was 0.952. CONCLUSIONS The 28-item SMEQ-PSO is a reliable and valid tool that can be used to assess the self-management efficacy among patients with PSO and provide personalized interventions based on their individual circumstances to improve their health outcomes.

Abstract
Background The media play an important role in health promotion and disease prevention, while at the same time, a variety of mixed health messages in the media are beginning to pose new challenges to them. However, there is a lack of media health literacy (MHL) assessment tools in China. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to translate the Media Health Literacy (MeHLit) questionnaire into Chinese and to assess its psychometric properties. Methods This cross-sectional study was conducted from October to December 2022, and a methodological study of the translation and validation of the MeHLit questionnaire was conducted. Results As a result of an extensive translation and cultural adaptation process, the final MeHLit questionnaire was developed, which includes five dimensions and 21 items. Cronbach's α value of the questionnaire was 0.859, and Cronbach's α value of the dimensions ranged from 0.776 to 0.911, which is fairly good. As a result, the test-retest reliability coefficient and the split-half reliability coefficient of the questionnaire are both equal to 0.907. Its content validity index was 0.946, suggesting a reasonable level of content validity. Through exploratory factor analysis, a five-factor structure was identified based on the eigenvalues, total variance explained, and scree plot. As a result of the validation factor analysis, all recommended fit indicators were appropriate. Conclusion The Chinese version of the MeHLit questionnaire has been successfully introduced in China. It has shown good psychometric properties among the Chinese public and can be used as a tool to evaluate MHL in health screening.

Abstract
Background Nurses are one of the most critical members of advance care planning (ACP) discussion. The evaluation of ACP self-efficacy is of great significance for developing targeted ACP interventions among clinical nurses and update their professional roles. However, there are few instruments to evaluate their ACP self-efficacy in mainland China. The purpose of this study was to translate the ACP self-efficacy scale into Chinese and evaluate its psychometric properties among clinical nurses. Methods A methodological study of the translation and validation of the ACP self-efficacy scale was conducted from January to March 2022. It involved three phases: (1) the translation and revision of the scale; (2) the exploration and evaluation of the item (n = 436); (3) the psychometric evaluation of the scale (n = 674). Results After a rigorous translation and revision, the ACP self-efficacy scale with three dimensions and 16 items was finally formed. In this study, the critical ratios of the item ranged from 8.226 to 17.499, and the item-total correlation coefficients ranged from 0.437 to 0.732, and the factor loadings of the item ranged from 0.638 to 0.882. The content validity index of the scale was 0.946. Supported by the eigenvalues, the three-factor structure explained the cumulative 61.131% of the overall variance. As the results of confirmatory factor analysis, all the recommended fitting indexes were appropriate. The average variance extracted values ranged from 0.570 to 0.756, and the composite reliability values ranged from 0.858 to 0.925. The total Cronbach's α coefficient, split-half reliability coefficient and test–retest reliability coefficient of the scale were 0.896, 0.767 and 0.939, respectively. Conclusion The Chinese version of ACP self-efficacy scale was successfully introduced into China, showing good psychometric properties among clinical nurses, and can effectively assess the ACP self-efficacy. Also, the scale can provide nursing educators with a significant strategy to develop ACP educational procedure and post-intervention measures for clinical nurses to improve nurse-led ACP practice.
