Abstract
Carbon-based sandwich-like electrocatalyst with a hierarchical structure, carbon sheet (CS)-loaded Ce-doped SnO2 nanoparticles, were successfully prepared using a simple method, which presented a high-efficiency electrocatalytic performance for tetracycline decomposition. Among them, Sn0.75Ce0.25Oy/CS exhibits superior catalytic activity, such as more than 95% of tetracycline was removed (120 min), and over 90% of total organic carbon was mineralized (480 min). It is found from morphology observation and computational fluid dynamics simulation that the layered structure is conducive to improving the mass transfer efficiency. Through X-Ray powder diffraction, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, Raman spectrum, and density functional theory calculation analyze that the structural defect in Sn0.75Ce0.25Oy caused by Ce doping is considered to play the key role. Moreover, electrochemical measurements and degradation experiments further prove that the outstanding catalytic performance is attributable to the initiated synergistic effect established between CS and Sn0.75Ce0.25Oy. These results explain the effectiveness of Sn0.75Ce0.25Oy/CS for the remediation of tetracycline-contaminated water and mitigating the potential risks and imply that the Sn0.75Ce0.25Oy/CS composite has a deeply practical value in tetracycline wastewater degradation and a promise for further application.

Abstract
The rapid growth of plastic wastes exceeds efforts to eliminate plastic pollution owing to the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020 and then aggravates inherent environmental threats to the ecosystem. The paper provided a short introduction relating to the hazards of plastic wastes on environment and a detailed statement about plastic toxicity on human. The article stated on plastic how to enter the body and cause harm for us step by step. Given the toxicity and harm of plastic wastes on human, the degradation of plastic wastes via the physical, chemical and biotic methodologies is looked back. The advanced physical techniques are introduced briefly at firstly. Additionally, evaluate on chemical method for plastic decomposition and review on biotic degradation of plastic. The reactive oxygen species and the enzymes play a crucial role in chemical and biotic degradation processes, respectively. The reactive oxygen species are derived from the activated state of oxides, and the enzymes that aid the microorganism to ingest plastic through its metabolic mechanism are secreted by the microorganism. Subsequently, the potential possibility of upcycling plastic is analyzed from two aspects of the technology and application. The innovative technology utilizes sunlight as driver-power of plastic upcycling. And the carbon capture, utilization and sequestration and the growth substrate provided the novel guided directions for plastic recycle. Lastly, the three suggestions on plastic waste management are expected to establish an economy and efficient plastic sorting system, and two engineering solutions on plastic recycle are to make a contribution for sustainable upcycling of plastic.

Abstract
Fe0-Fe3O4 nanoparticles and cerium dioxide hollow spheres as efficient heterogeneous electro-Fenton reagents were rationally designed to be embedded in porous carbon derived from skimmed cotton for the electrocatalytic degradation of ceftriaxone sodium. Skimmed cotton porous carbon material has a hollow tubular structure, and cerium dioxide is dispersed on the surface of the carbon material in a hollow sphere structure of uniform size. Fe0-Fe3O4 nanoparticles were wrapped in irregular particle shapes on the surface of cerium dioxide hollow spheres, and the remaining part was laid flat on the surface of porous carbon material. The as-synthesized Fe0-Fe3O4/CeO2/C showed excellent degradation efficiency of 95.59 % for ceftriaxone sodium within 120 mins and obtained a COD removal rate of 95.21 % at 240 mins. The zero-valent iron as a reducing agent effectively accelerated the Fe3+/Fe2+ cycle, allowing the composites to exhibit higher catalytic activity and further reducing the possibility of secondary contamination. Moreover, the existence of cerium dioxide further promoted the redox cycle of Ce4+/Ce3+ and accelerated the electron transfer in the interface of the catalyst. The synergistic effect of iron and cerium greatly facilitated the production of hydroxyl radicals and increased the yield of hydroxyl radicals in the reaction system.

Abstract
In this work, flower-like molybdenum disulfide was constructed on the surface of ZIF-8-derived nitrogen-doped dodecahedral carbon (ZNC) for the electrocatalytic degradation of phenol. The flower-like nanostructure of MoS2@ZNC contributed to the exposure of more edge-active sites of MoS2. At the same time, Mo4+ and Mo6+ co-existed in MoS2@ZNC, which promoted the generation of H2O2 and •OH, and improved the catalytic activity of composite materials. In addition, electrochemical performance analysis showed that MoS2 loaded on the surface of ZNC significantly improved the redox capacity of the material, and the composite ratio of MoS2 and ZNC affected the structure and properties of MoS2@ZNC composites. Moreover, the electrochemical performance of prepared MoS2@ZNC was evaluated by the generation of hydroxyl (•OH) and the degradation efficiency of phenol. The results showed that MoS2@ZNC-2 had an excellent phenol degradation efficiency (98.8%) and COD removal efficiency (86.8%) within 120 min. Furthermore, MoS2@ZNC cathode still maintained good performance after being experimented with 20 times, indicated the excellent stability of MoS2@ZNC.

Synergistic Effect between Ni and Ce Dual Active Centers Initiated by Activated Fullerene Soot for Electro−Fenton Degradation of Tetracycline. Catalysts 2022. Abstract
The degradation of a high concentration of organic pollutants has long been a challenge to water restoration, and the development of electro−Fenton catalysis offers a practical approach to solving this problem. In this study, a novel electro−Fenton catalyst, activated fullerene soot−loaded NiO−doped CeO2 (0.4(0.4NiO−CeO2)−AFS) nanoparticles, was prepared through the impregnation of 0.4NiO−CeO2 particles and activated fullerene soot (AFS). When applied for the degradation of 200 mg/L of tetracycline, this catalyst demonstrated a degradation rate as high as 99%. Even after 20 cycles, the degradation rate was more than 80%. Moreover, it was concluded that AFS could initiate the synergistic effect between Ni and Ce dual active centers in the degradation of tetracycline; this can be ascribed to the extremely large specific surface area of AFS.
