Abstract
A decentralized PI/PID controller based on the frequency domain analysis for two input two output (TITO) coupled tank systems is exploited in this paper. The fundamentals of the gain margin and phase margin are used to design the proposed PI/PID controller. The basic objective is to keep the tank at the predetermined level. To satisfy the design specifications, the control algorithm is implemented for decoupled subsystems by employing a decoupler. First-order plus dead time (FOPDT) models are obtained for the decoupled subsystems using the model-reduction technique. In addition, the control law is realized by considering the frequency domain analysis. Further, the robustness of the controller is verified by considering multiplicative input and output uncertainties. The proposed method is briefly contrasted with existing techniques. It is envisaged that the proposed control algorithm exhibits better servo and regulatory responses compared to the existing techniques.

Abstract
Based on the previous research on the production line automation, this paper carries out further research and further design and development on the basis of the original production line automation equipment. In this paper, the overall design of the automatic production line is carried out, and the various systems in the automatic production line are optimized, and the backward instruments are eliminated, and then some more advanced and convenient instruments are applied. Then, the hardware and software of the automatic production line are studied respectively, and the human-computer interaction module and real-time main control circuit module are re developed, and the electric shaft is applied to the automatic production line. Finally, the fuzzy PID controller of the stepping motor is designed. The experiment shows that the fuzzy PID control scheme is better than the traditional PID control scheme. After the rationalization of the system, the quality robustness of proactive planning is improved obviously. Then, the temperature of motorized spindle was tested.

Abstract
The early diagnosis and the accurate separation of COVID-19 from non-COVID-19 cases based on pulmonary diffuse airspace opacities is one of the challenges facing researchers. Recently, researchers try to exploit the Deep Learning (DL) method's capability to assist clinicians and radiologists in diagnosing positive COVID-19 cases from chest X-ray images. In this approach, DL models, especially Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (DCNN), propose real-time, automated effective models to detect COVID-19 cases. However, conventional DCNNs usually use Gradient Descent-based approaches for training fully connected layers. Although GD-based Training (GBT) methods are easy to implement and fast in the process, they demand numerous manual parameter tuning to make them optimal. Besides, the GBT's procedure is inherently sequential, thereby parallelizing them with Graphics Processing Units is very difficult. Therefore, for the sake of having a real-time COVID-19 detector with parallel implementation capability, this paper proposes the use of the Whale Optimization Algorithm for training fully connected layers. The designed detector is then benchmarked on a verified dataset called COVID-Xray-5k, and the results are verified by a comparative study with classic DCNN, DUICM, and Matched Subspace classifier with Adaptive Dictionaries. The results show that the proposed model with an average accuracy of 99.06% provides 1.87% better performance than the best comparison model. The paper also considers the concept of Class Activation Map to detect the regions potentially infected by the virus. This was found to correlate with clinical results, as confirmed by experts. Although results are auspicious, further investigation is needed on a larger dataset of COVID-19 images to have a more comprehensive evaluation of accuracy rates.

Improved Decoupling Control for a Powershift Automatic Mechanical Transmission Employing a Model-Based PID Parameter Autotuning Method. ACTUATORS 2020. Abstract
Automatic mechanical transmission (AMT) with a gearshift assistant mechanism is a novel transmission architect concept aiming to improve the torque interruption and driveline jerk of AMT. During the shifting process, the shifting performance deteriorates as the varying road gradient and the friction coefficient worsen the coupling effect between the motor torque and the clutch friction torque. This paper focuses on improving the controller’s robustness of AMT with a gearshift assistant mechanism against the perturbed parameters during the stage of torque gap filling. In this paper, a detailed powertrain simulation model was presented. Based on a decoupling controller and a disturbance compensator, proportional-integral-differential (PID) controllers are applied to enhance the robustness and the decoupling effect. The PID parameters are automatically tuned by employing the Nelder-Mead method. In the tuning process, a cost function was established to demonstrate the outputs’ reference tracking performance, and the PID parameters are tuned by minimizing the cost function. Finally, the tuned parameters are stored in PID maps to make them adjustable online. Simulation results show that with the perturbed parameters well estimated, the upshift process was successful and the torque filling effect was also acceptable. The proposed transmission is a promising structure for industry applications.

A Survey of Fractional Order Calculus Applications of Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output (MIMO) Process Control. FRACTAL AND FRACTIONAL 2020. Abstract
Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are usually present in process systems engineering. Due to the interaction among the variables and loops in the MIMO system, designing efficient control systems for both servo and regulatory scenarios remains a challenging task. The literature reports the use of several techniques mainly based on classical approaches, such as the proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller, for single-input single-output (SISO) systems control. Furthermore, control system design approaches based on derivatives and integrals of non-integer order, also known as fractional control or fractional order (FO) control, are frequently used for SISO systems control. A natural consequence, already reported in the literature, is the application of these techniques to MIMO systems to address some inherent issues. Therefore, this work discusses the state-of-the-art of fractional control applied to MIMO systems. It outlines different types of applications, fractional controllers, controller tuning rules, experimental validation, software, and appropriate loop decoupling techniques, leading to literature gaps and research opportunities. The span of publications explored in this survey ranged from the years 1997 to 2019.
