Abstract
Sericin, a silk protein from Bombyx mori (silkworms), has many applications, including cosmetics, anti-inflammation, and anti-cancer. Sericin complexes with nanoparticles have shown promise for breast cancer cell lines. Apoptosis, a programmed cell death mechanism, stops cancer cell growth. This study found that Sericin urea extract significantly affected HCT116 cell viability (IC50 = 42.00 ± 0.002 µg/mL) and caused apoptosis in over 80% of treated cells. S-FTIR analysis showed significant changes in Sericin-treated cells' macromolecule composition, particularly in the lipid and nucleic acid areas, indicating major cellular modifications. A transcriptomics study found upregulation of the apoptotic signaling genes FASLG, TNFSF10, CASP3, CASP7, CASP8, and CASP10. Early apoptotic proteins also showed that BAD, AKT, CASP9, p53, and CASP8 were significantly upregulated. A proteomics study illuminated Sericin-treated cells' altered protein patterns. Our results show that Sericin activated the extrinsic apoptosis pathway via the caspase cascade (CASP8/10 and CASP3/7) and the death receptor pathway, involving TNFSF10 or FASLG, in HCT116 cells. Upregulation of p53 increases CASP8, which activates CASP3 and causes HCT116 cell death. This multi-omics study illuminates the molecular mechanisms of Sericin-induced apoptosis, sheds light on its potential cancer treatment applications, and helps us understand the complex relationship between silk-derived proteins and cellular processes.

Abstract
The objective of this investigation was to fabricate nanoparticles consisting of Imatinib mesylate-poly sarcosine-loaded chitosan/carrageenan in order to attain prolonged drug release and efficacious therapy for colorectal cancer. The study involved the synthesis of nanoparticles through the utilisation of ionic complexation and nanoprecipitation techniques. The subsequent nanoparticles were subjected to an assessment of their physicochemical characteristics, anti-cancer efficacy using HCT116 cell line, and acute toxicity. The present study examined two distinct nanoparticle formulations, namely IMT-PSar-NPs and CS-CRG-IMT-NPs, with respect to their particle size, zeta potential, and morphology. Both formulations demonstrated satisfactory characteristics, as they displayed consistent and prolonged drug release for a duration of 24 h, with the highest level of release occurring at a pH of 5.5. The efficacy and safety of IMT-PSar-NPs and CS-CRG-IMT-PSar-NPs nanoparticles were evaluated through various tests including in vitro cytotoxicity, cellular uptake, apoptosis, scratch test, cell cycle analysis, MMP & ROS estimate, acute toxicity, and stability tests. The results suggest that these nanoparticles were well fabricated and have promising potential for in vivo applications. The prepared polysaccharide nanoparticles have great potential for active targeting and could potentially reduce dose-dependent toxicity in the treatment of colon cancer.

Abstract
To study the effect of preoperative chemoradiotherapy combined with rehabilitation nursing in patients with rectal cancer surgery. 106 cases of rectal cancer patients in our hospital were selected. 53 cases in each group were treated with surgical treatment combined with rehabilitation nursing treatment and preoperative radiotherapy and chemotherapy combined with surgical treatment and rehabilitation nursing treatment in the study group. The T stage (ypT) and N stage (ypN) downgrading rates of serum carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) and carbohydrate antigen (CA)19-9 were compared between the two groups after treatment. The 5-year cumulative survival rate, recurrence rate and the positive rate of Bax and antigen identified by monoclonal antibody Ki-67 (Ki-67) expression were detected. T stage downgrading rate and N stage downgrading rate were 77.36% (41/53) 35.85% (19/53) in control group and 94.34% (50/53) 64.15% (34/53) in research group, respectively. The CEA and CA19-9 levels measured at the end of surgery and one month after nursing in both groups were lower than those before treatment. After treatment, scores of quality of life indicators in both groups increased. The positive rates of Bax and Ki-67Ki-67 were significantly different between the two groups after treatment (P < 0.05). Preoperative chemoradiotherapy combined with rehabilitation nursing has obvious effect on patients with rectal cancer surgery, and has obvious advantages in inhibiting tumor growth, destroying tumor survival immune environment and reducing surgical complications, which can improve the prognosis and is worthy of clinical application. It could provide a potential treatment for patients with rectal cancer.

Abstract
This study assessed the effect of LINC00511 on NSCLC cells through regulating miR-29b-3p/DRAM1 axis. LINC00511 expression in NSCLC tissue and para-carcinoma tissue was analyzed and its correlation with TNM stage was assessed. Lung carcinoma cells as A549 cells were cultivated in
vitro and transfected with LINC00511 siRNA or plasmid with DRAM1 overexpression followed by analysis of LINC00511 and miR-184 expression by RT-PCR, cell proliferation and invasion, Bcl-2, Bax and DRAM1 expression by Western Blot. LINC00511 was significantly upregulated in NSCLC tissue
and positively correlated with the TNM staging. However, miR-29b-3p was significantly downregulated in NSCLC tissue. The miR-29b-3p was a target of LINC00511. The DRAM1 was a target of miR-29b-3p. Downregulation of LINC00511 restrained proliferation and invasion of A549 cells and promoted
cell apoptosis. The development of NSCLC could be prompted by increasing the presentation of LINC00511 through increasing presentation of DRAM1 and being targeted with miR-29b-3p. It could be restrained through reducing the presentation of LINC00511.
