Abstract
To research the effect of structural diversity on citrate-based coordination polymers (CPs), citric acid (H4cit) was selected to combine with Cu(ii) under hydrothermal conditions. A new CP [Cu2(cit)(H2O)2] (1) was synthesized and structurally characterized. The title complex shows a 3D 2,4,6-connected topology with the point symbol of {43·63}{44·66·85}{4}. Inspired by the decomposition and functional molybdenum component, 1 was used as a catalyst precursor to synthesize a carbon-based material (C-1) and a C@Mo material (C-Mo-1) by the chemical vapor deposition (CVD) method and characterized in detail. The selective removal of a contaminant (Congo red) by complex 1, C-1 and C-Mo-1 in the aqueous phase was also comparatively investigated.

Abstract
In the title complex, [Ca2Cu(C9H3O6)2(H2O)2] n , the CaII and CuII cations are bridged by the benzene-1,3,5-tri-carboxyl-ate anions (BTC3-) to form the coordination polymer, in which each BTC3- anion bridges two CuII and five CaII cations with a μ7 coordination mode. The CuII cation, located at an inversion centre, is in a nearly square-planar geometry defined by four O atoms from four bridging BTC3- anions, while the CaII cation is in a distorted octa-hedral geometry defined by five O atoms from bridging BTC3- anions and one water mol-ecule. O-H⋯O hydrogen bonds between coordinating water mol-ecules and carboxyl groups further stabilize the structure; π-π stacking is also observed between parallel benzene rings, the centroid-to-centroid distance being 3.357 (2) Å.

Abstract
Four Co(II) coordination polymers, [Co(suc)]n 1, [Co(pdc)]n 2, {[Co7(suc)4(OH)6(H2O)3]·8H2O}n 3, {[Co(bdc)(phen)(H2O)]·H2O}n 4 (H2suc=succinic acid, H2pdc=pyridine-3,4-dicarboxylic acid, H2bdc=1,2-benzenedicarboxylic acid, phen=1,10-phenanthroline) were hydrothermally synthesized and characterized by X-ray single-crystal diffraction, surface photovoltage spectroscopy (SPS), electrical conductivity, thermogravimetric analysis (TG), ultraviolet visible and near-infrared absorption spectrum (UV-Vis-NIR), infrared spectrum (IR), and elemental analysis. The structural analyses indicate that the coordination numbers of the Co(II) ions are 4, 5, 6 and 6 for the polymers 1-4, respectively. And polymers 1 and 2 exhibit 3D structure formed by suc(2-) and pdc(2-) anions bridging Co(II) ions, respectively. Polymer 3 exhibits a 2D structure with suc(2-) anions bridging seven-nuclear [Co7(OH)6(H2O)3](3-) unit and polymer 4 is a 1D structure bridged by bdc(2-) anions. The surface photoelectric properties of the cobalt polymers were mainly studied by SPS. The results of SPS reveal that all polymers possess certain photoelectric conversion property in the range of 300-800 nm. The influences of the structure, coordination micro-environment of central metal ion and structural dimensionality on response bands of SPS were discussed.

Abstract
A series of Cu-Fe bimetal amidoximated polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber complexes with different molar ratios of Cu(2+) to Fe(3+) ions was prepared using a simple exhaustion method, and characterized using FTIR, DRS and XPS, respectively. Then they were tested as the heterogeneous Fenton catalysts for Rhodamine B degradation with H(2)O(2) in the dark and under visible light irradiation. The results indicated that Cu-Fe bimetal amidoximated PAN fiber complexes could more effectively catalyze the dye degradation in water than Fe amidoximated PAN fiber complex, especially in the dark. And introduction of Cu(2+) ions significantly increased their catalytic performance. 0.56 was the optimum molar ratio of Cu(2+) to Fe(3+) ions to achieve the best catalytic activity and stability. This was mainly due to the synergetic effect in the bimetal complexes. Visible light irradiation improved the catalytic activity of the complexes, especially with a low molar ratio of Cu(2+) to Fe(3+) ions.
