Abstract
The current study aimed to synthesize seven new metal coordination complexes (Q1-Q7) with potential biomedical applications. Novel mononuclear, polynuclear and mixed-ligand coordination compounds of the elements, cadmium(ii) and silver(i) derived from a pyridine containing ligand (2,4,6-tris-(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine (TPT)) have been synthesized successfully with the general formulae [Cd(TPT)Cl6]·H2O and [Ag x (TPT) y (L)2(ClO4)](ClO4) z (x = 1,2,3, y = 1,2,3, L = PPh3 or phen, z = 1,2). The structural features were fully characterized using various spectroscopic techniques, such as infrared, ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy, 1D and 2D-NMR (1H, 13C, 31P, 1H-1H COSY and 1H-13C HSQCAD), CHN analysis, molar conductance (Λ), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and powder X-ray diffraction analysis. The structure of complex Q6 was also confirmed by single-crystal X-ray analysis. The luminescence and electrochemical properties of complexes, in solution, have been studied. X-ray crystallographic determination of the [Ag(TPT)(PPh3)2]ClO4·EtOH (Q6) complex shows that the Ag+ cation is bonded to one tridentate TPT ligand through NNN set of donor atoms and two triphenylphosphine ligands, giving the Ag+ a distorted trigonal bipyramidal geometry. X-ray powder diffraction analysis showed that metal complexes Q3, Q6 and Q7 display crystalline peaks. The complexes were evaluated for their in vitro antibacterial efficacy against various bacterial and fungal species. The in vitro efficacy against the MCF-7 human breast cancer cell line was assessed to determine the anticancer activities. The tri-nuclear silver complex Q3 shows great potential as a therapeutic candidate for treating breast cancer, since it exhibits a half-maximal inhibition concentration (IC50) of 13.45 ± 0.9 μM. Molecular docking simulations were also carried out to evaluate the interaction strength and properties of the metal complexes with selected cancer and bacteria relevant proteins namely cyclin-dependent kinase 2 (CDK2), cyclin-dependent kinase 6 (CDK6), signal transducer and activator of transcription 3 (STAT3), and beta-lactamases from Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus.

Abstract
A series of new complexes, [Ln (2,4-DMBA)3(5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy)]2 (Ln = Sm(1), Eu (2)), [Pr (2,4-DMBA)3 (5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy)]2·0.5(C2H5OH) (3), [Ln (2,4-DMBA)3 (5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy)]2·0.5(2,4-DMBAH)·0.25(5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy) (Ln = Tb (4), Dy (5)) (2,4-DMBA = 2,4-dimethylbenzoate, 5,5'-DM-2,2'-bipy = 5,5'-dimethy-2,2'-bipyridine) were synthesized via hydrothermal reaction conditions. The complexes were characterized through elemental analysis, Infrared spectra (IR), Raman (R) spectra, UV-Vis spectra, single X-ray diffraction. Single crystal data show that complexes 1-5 are binuclear complexes, but they can be divided into three different crystal structures. The thermal decomposition mechanism of complexes 1-5 were investigated by the technology of simultaneous TG/DSC-FTIR. What's more, the luminescent properties of complexes 1-2 and 4 were discussed, and the luminescence lifetime (τ) of complexes 2 and 4 were calculated.

Abstract
Protein phosphorylation is one of the most prominent post-translational modifications involved in the regulation of cellular processes. Fundamental understanding of biological processes requires appropriate bioanalytical methods for selectively enriching phosphorylated peptides and proteins. Most of the commonly applied enrichment approaches include chromatographic materials including Fe(3+)-immobilized metal-ion affinity chromatography or metal oxides. In the last years, the introduction of several non-chromatographic isolation technologies has increasingly attracted the interest of many scientists. Such approaches are based on the selective precipitation of phosphorylated peptides and proteins by applying various metal cations. The excellent performance of precipitation-based enrichment methods can be explained by the absence of any stationary phase, resin or sorbent, which usually leads to unspecific binding. This review provides an overview of recently published methods for the selective precipitation of phosphorylated peptides and proteins.

Abstract
Two complexes of Tb(3+), Gd(3+) /Tb(3+) and one heteronuclear crystal Gd(3+)/Tb(3+) with phenoxyacetic acid (HPOA) and 2,4,6-tris-(2-pyridyl)-s-triazine (TPTZ) have been synthesized. Elemental analysis, rare earth coordination titration, inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) and thermogravimetric analysis-differential scanning calorimetry (TG-DSC) analysis show that the two complexes are Tb2 (POA)6 (TPTZ)2 · 6H2O and TbGd(POA)6 (TPTZ)2 · 6H2O, respectively. The crystal structure of TbGd(POA)6 (TPTZ)2 · 2CH3OH was determined using single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The monocrystal belongs to the triclinic system with the P-1 space group. In particular, each metal ion is coordinately bonded to three nitrogen atoms of one TPTZ and seven oxygen atoms of three phenoxyacetic ions. Furthermore, there exist two coordinate forms between C6H5OCH2COO(-) and the metal ions in the crystal. One is a chelating bidentate, the other is chelating and bridge coordinating. Fluorescence determination shows that the two complexes possess strong fluorescence emissions. Furthermore, the fluorescence intensity of the Gd(3+)/Tb(3+) complex is much stronger than that of the undoped complex, which may result from a decrease in the concentration quench of Tb(3+) ions, and intramolecular energy transfer from the ligands coordinated with Gd(3+) ions to Tb(3+) ions.

Abstract
In this study TPTZ is used exclusively as an analytical reagent for the determination of micro amounts of Al3+ ions with high accuracy and lower detection limit, which reach 2.7 ppm. The developed blue color of Al3+-TPTZ complex was used selectivity to determine the concentration and the geometry of the Al3+ complex using continuous variation and molar ratio methods. Also, the novel Al3+ complexes derived from the reaction of TPTZ were synthesized. The solid complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV-vis., 1H NMR, mass) and magnetic measurements. The isolated complexes have the general formulae, [Al(TPTZ)Cl3]·H2O·1½EtOH (1:1; M:L) and [Al2(TPTZ)Cl6(EtOH)2] (2:1; M:L). IR spectra indicate that TPTZ behaves in a bidentate manner in case of 1:1 and 2:1 (M:L). Elemental analyses and mass spectra of the complexes suggest the existence of an octahedral structure around the Al3+ ions. DFT calculations were used to determine the geometry of complexes.

Abstract
The structure of a new Mn(II) complex, [Mn(TPTZ)Cl2(H2O)]⋅H2O, was established by a single crystal X-ray diffraction. Crystal data are as follow: monoclinic, P21/c,a = 8.7202 (3)Å, b = 11.5712 (4)Å, c = 20.8675 (9)Å, β=11 (18) × 1010, V = 2029.27 (13)Å(3), Z = 4. The HOMO, LUMO and other DFT parameters on the atoms have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and its complexes using material studio program. The complexes were characterized by elemental analyses, spectral, magnetic, thermal and cyclic voltammetry measurements. Electronic spectra and magnetic moments of the complexes suggest distorted-octahedral structures around the metal ions (Mn(II), Cr(III) and Ru(III)). The redox properties were investigated by cyclic voltammetry. Kinetic parameters were determined using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger methods. The results of DNA studies of the metal complexes promised to be effective in tumour treatment.

Abstract
The synthesis and comparative studies of two new binuclear PdII isomer complexes derived from TPTZ, [2,4,6-tri-(2-pyridyl)-1,3,5-triazine], have been synthesized and characterized. Their structures have been investigated by elemental analyses, spectral (IR, UV-vis, mass and 1H-NMR) and thermal measurements. Electronic and magnetic studies suggest a distorted square-planar around the two PdII ions. The HOMO, LUMO and DFT parameters on the atoms have been calculated to confirm the geometry of the ligand and their complexes. Kinetic parameters were determined using Coats-Redfern and Horowitz-Metzger methods. Also, the geometry of the two isomers is confirmed using DFT method from DMOL3 calculations. Moreover, the two PdII complexes have different specific optical rotation where the red PdII complex has dextrorotatory (+5.68) while the yellow PdII complex has levorotatory (-9.37). The results of biological activity for the two PdII complexes promised to be effective in tumor treatment.

Abstract
Addition reactions of lithium bis(trimethylsilyl)amide with dimethylcyanamide lead to novel lithium salts of 6-((trimethylsilyl)amido)-2,4-bis(dimethylamino)[1,3,5]triazines [LLi(D)](2) (L = NC(NMe(2))NC(NMe(2))NC(NSiMe(3)); D = Me(2)NCN (1), Et(2)O (2)) and to the Mn and Co complexes [LL'M] (L' = N{N(SiMe(3))C(NMe(2))}(2); M = Mn (3), Co (4)); the structures of crystalline 1, 3, and 4 are reported. Their formation involves trimethylsilyl shifts, ring formation, and unusual Me(2)NSiMe(3) elimination.
