Abstract
The overuse of pefloxacin (PEF) leaves residues in foods. Therefore, the development of robust analytical techniques for the selective detection of PEF is of great importance. In this study, a highly stable electrochemical sensing platform has been constructed, using molecularly imprinted polymer (MIP)-coated gold nanoparticle/black phosphorus nanocomposites (BPNS-AuNPs), for the selective detection of PEF. BPNS-AuNPs significantly enhance the black phosphorus (BP) stability and electrochemical activity and offer a larger surface area to accommodate more imprinted sites for selective PEF binding. MIP/BPNS-AuNPs exhibit a broad linear detection range (0.005-10 μM), low detection limit (0.80 nM), and high sensitivity (3.199 μA μM-1). The MIP/BPNS-AuNPs show a high binding affinity for PEF, even in the presence of structural analogs, and maintain stable voltammetric signals for at least 35 d. The MIP sensor exhibits consistent high sensitivity in the detection of PEF in real milk and orange juice samples.

Abstract
In this work, an accurate, highly sensitive, and economical electrochemical sensor based on a carbon paste electrode modified by Ca2CuO3 nanostructure (Ca2CuO3 NS) was constructed using Eggshell waste recycling as a cheap source of calcium. The Ca2CuO3 NS was analyzed using FTIR, SEM, and XRD measurements. The synthesized nanomaterials utilized for the first time to enhance the electrocatalytic efficiency of carbon paste electrode (CPE) toward fluoroquinolones antibiotics ofloxacin (OFL) and ciprofloxacin (CIP), The drugs used to treat pneumonia caused by COVID-19. The synthesized Ca2CuO3 NS dramatically enhanced the anodic peak response of CPE toward both drugs compared to the unmodified one and other modified electrodes. The simultaneous detection of the two antibiotics was performed in the linear range of 0.09-1.0 μM for OFL and 0.05-0.8 μM for CIP with the LOD of 0.027 μM and 0.012 μM, respectively. The suggested method was applied successfully to determine OFL and CIP in real samples.

Abstract
A novel method was developed using capillary electrophoresis (CE) coupled with tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) electrogenerated chemiluminescence (ECL) for highly sensitive detection of metformin hydrochloride (MH) derivatizatized with acetaldehyde. The precolumn derivatization of MH with acetaldehyde was performed in phosphate buffer solution (0.3 mol/L, pH 7.5) at room temperature for 120 min. The effects of acetaldehyde concentration, buffer pH, electrokinetic voltage and injection time were investigated. Under optimized detection conditions, the MH ECL detection sensitivity was more than 120 times that without derivatization. The linear concentration range for MH was 0.001-15.00 μg/mL (with a correlation coefficient of 0.9992). The detection limit was 0.31 ng/mL with a signal:noise ratio of 3. The recoveries of MH in human urine were in the range 98.50-99.72%. Copyright © 2011 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.

Abstract
A novel method for the determination of galanthamine (GAL) in Bulbus Lycoridis Radiatae has been developed based on coupling CE with an end-column tris(2,2'-bipyridyl)ruthenium(II) electrochemiluminescence (ECL). Parameters affecting CE separation and ECL detection were investigated and optimized. Baseline separation of GAL from other components in the Bulbus Lycoridis Radiatae sample was achieved with an 18 mmol/L phosphate running buffer at pH 9.0. Under the optimized conditions: 12 kV CE-separation voltage, ECL detection potential at 1.25 V with 5 mmol/L Ru(bpy)(3)(2+) and 50 mmol/L phosphate buffer at pH 7.5 in the detection reservoir, the linear range of GAL concentration was from 0.8 ng/mL to 2 microg/mL, whereas the detection limit was 0.25 ng/mL (S/N=3). The proposed method was successfully demonstrated for the determination of GAL in Bulbus Lycoridis Radiatae.
