Abstract
In this study, we designed a Pt@KIT-6 nanocomposite prepared by impregnating platinum nanoparticles on the nanopores of the KIT-6 mesoporous material. This Pt@KIT-6 nanocomposite was used as a catalyst in a micro fixed bed reactor (MFBR) for the continuous-flow hydrogenation of halogenated nitroarenes, which demonstrates three advantages. First, the Pt@KIT-6 nanocomposite has a stable mesoporous nanostructure, which effectively enhances the active site and hydrogen adsorption capacity. The uniformly distributed pore structure and large specific surface area were confirmed by electron microscopy and N2 physisorption, respectively. In addition, the aggregation of the loaded metal was avoided, which facilitated the maintenance of high activity and selectivity. The conversion and selectivity reached 99% within 5.0 minutes at room temperature (20 °C). Furthermore, the continuous-flow microreactor allows precise control and timely transfer of the reaction system, reducing the impact of haloid acids. The activity and selectivity of the Pt@KIT-6 nanocomposite showed virtually no degradation after 24 hours of continuous operation of the entire continuous-flow system. Overall, the Pt@KIT-6 nanocomposite showed good catalysis for the hydrogenation of halogenated nitroarenes in the continuous-flow microreactor. This work provides insights into the rational design of a highly active and selective catalyst for selective hydrogenation systems.

Abstract
Selective reduction of nitroaromatics to the corresponding aromatic amines is extremely an attractive chemical process for both fundamental research and potential commercial applications. Herewith, we report that a highly dispersed Cu catalyst supported on H3PO4-activated coffee biochar and the resulting Cu/PBCR-600 catalyst show complete conversion of the nitroaromatics and >97.0% selectivity for the corresponding aromatic amines. The TOF of catalyzing the reduction of nitroaromatics (1.55-460.74 min-1) is approximately 2 to 15 times higher than those of previously reported non-noble and even noble metal catalysts. Additionally, Cu/PBCR-600 also shows high stability in catalytic recycles. Furthermore, it exhibits long-term catalytic stability (660 min) for practical application in a continuous-flow reactor. The characterizations and activity tests reveal that Cu0 existing in Cu/PBCR-600 acts as an active site in nitroaromatics reduction. Also, the further characterization by FTIR and UV-vis demonstrates that N, P co-doped coffee biochar could selectively adsorb and activate the nitro group of nitroaromatics.

Abstract
The control of morphology, structure and composition of metal-organic frameworks derived metal-nitrogen doped porous carbon (M-N-C) with high precision and accuracy is essential for the catalytic performance. While single-atom or small-sized nanometer catalysts show notable effects in catalysis, one catalyst combining the advantages of single-atom and nanometer catalysts may cultivate more benefits. Herein, we designed and successfully fabricated a series of Fe-doped ZIF-x with different morphologies (cube→truncated hexahedron→truncated octahedron) in one pot by simply adjusting the adding amount of vitamin C. After high-temperature calcination, Fe3C integrated with Fe single-atom planted in N-doped carbon (FeSA/FeNC-N-C-x) with various morphology, structure and composition could be acquired. Among them, FeSA/FeNC-N-C-0.75 exhibited the best catalytic performance for the transfer hydrogenation of halogenated nitrobenzenes with N2H4·H2O under room temperature. Acid-leaching tests, poisoning experiments, and the density functional theory calculations showed that Fe3C integrated with Fe single-atom had a better catalytic effect than the separated Fe3C or Fe single-atom.

Abstract
Halogenated arylamines are important intermediates for the synthesis of dyes, pesticides, herbicides, and other chemicals. One important way to prepare halogenated arylamines is catalytic hydrogenation of halogenated nitroarenes. Ni-based catalysts have been used in the hydrogenation of halogenated nitroarenes but suffer from low activity and dehalogenation side reaction. In this paper, Ni-CeO2/SiO2 heterojunction catalyst with a "raisin-bun" structure was prepared by reverse microemulsion. A built-in electric field and more oxygen vacancies were formed due to electron transfer from Ni to CeO2 as a result of their work function difference. The built-in electric field leads to the heterolytic cleavage of H2, thereby improving the hydrogenation activity. Oxygen vacancies preferentially adsorb and activate nitro groups, inhibiting the dehalogenation side reaction. Through the cooperation of built-in electric field and oxygen vacancy, synchronous enhancement of the activity and selectivity is obtained successfully. This finding provides a new view for the design of non-noble metal-based catalysts with high activity and selectivity.

Abstract
Chemoselective hydrogenation of unsaturated organic compounds is a significant research topic in the catalysis field. Herein, a sulfur-doped ordered mesoporous carbon (SMC) material was prepared to anchor ultrafine platinum (Pt) clusters for the chemoselective hydrogenation of halogenated nitroarenes. The confinement effect of the ordered pores and the strong metal-support interaction caused by Pt clusters and sulfur atoms, efficiently suppress the aggregation and regulate the electronic states of the ultrafine Pt clusters. Thus, the hydrogenation of parachloronitrobenzene (p-CNB) shows high selectivity catalyzed by the ultrafine Pt clusters with electron-rich states. Meanwhile, the catalytic performance of the hydrogenation reaction catalyzed by Pt/SMC is capable of being maintained after at least 5 cycles, and the catalytic universality can also be applied to different halogenated nitroarenes hydrogenation. Therefore, this study may promote the research into the construction of noble metal-based catalysts for chemoselective hydrogenation reactions in green and sustainable chemical processes.

Pre-Coking Strategy Strengthening Stability Performance of Supported Nickel Catalysts in Chloronitrobenzene Hydrogenation. Catalysts 2021. Abstract
Supported nickel catalysts represent a class of important catalytic materials in selective hydrogenations, but applications are frequently limited by metal agglomeration or active-site blocking induced by the presence of hydrogen halides. Herein, we report a novel pre-coking strategy, exposing the nickel nanoparticles under methane dry reforming conditions to manipulate performance in the continuous-flow hydrogenation of 1,2-dichloro-4-nitrobenzene. Compared with the pristine nickel catalyst, the nanotube-like coke-modified nickel catalyst showed weakened hydrogenating ability, but much improved stability and slightly better selectivity to the target product, 3,4-dichloroaniline. Characterization results revealed that the strengthened stability performance can be mainly linked to the reduced propensity to retain chlorine species, which seems to block the access of the substrate molecules to the active sites, and thus is a major cause of catalyst deactivation on the pristine nickel catalyst. Coke deposition can occur on the pre-coked nickel catalyst but not on the pristine analog; however, the impact on the stability performance is much milder compared with that on chlorine uptake. In addition, the presence of coke is also beneficial in restraining the growth of the nickel nanoparticles. Generally, the developed method might provide an alternative perspective on the design of novel transition-metal-based catalytic materials for other hydrogenation applications under harsh conditions.

Abstract
Design and preparation of low-cost, effective, and novel catalysts are important topics in the field of heterogeneous catalysis from academic and industrial perspectives. Recently, heteroatom-doped porous carbon/metal materials have received significant attention as promising catalysts in divergent organic reactions. Incorporation of heteroatom into the carbon framework can tailor the properties of carbon, providing suitable interaction between support and metal, resulting in superior catalytic performance compared with those of traditional pure carbon/metal catalytic systems. In this review, we try to underscore the recent advances in the design, preparation, and application of heteroatom-doped porous carbon/metal catalysts towards various organic transformations.

Abstract
In this work, a series of metal-organic framework (MOF)-derived CoPd nanoalloys have been prepared. The nanocatalysts exhibited excellent activities in the hydrogenation of nitroarenes and alkenes in green solvent (ethanol/water) under mild conditions (H2 balloon, room temperature). Using ZIF-67 as template for both carbon matrix and cobalt precursor coating with a mesoporous SiO2 layer, the catalyst CoPd/NC@SiO2 was smoothly constructed. Catalytic results revealed a synergistic effect between Co and Pd components in the hydrogenation process due to the enhanced electron density. The mesoporous SiO2 shell effectively prevented the sintering of hollow carbon and metal NPs at high temperature, furnishing the well-dispersed nanoalloy catalysts and better catalytic performance. Moreover, the catalyst was durable and showed negligible activity decay in recycling and scale-up experiments, providing a mild and highly efficient way to access amines and arenes.

Abstract
In this study, polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) nanofibrous membranes containing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were successfully fabricated by the combination of electrospinning and a green reduction approach. Through the electrospinning technique, uniform and smooth nanofibres can be obtained, and the Ag NPs with a narrow size distributions are well dispersed in PVA nanofibres. The investigation indicates that the mass ratio of reductant tea polyphenols and AgNO3 play a crucial role in controlling the size of the Ag NPs. More importantly, multi-layered fabrics with a layer of PVA/Ag NP nanofibrous membrane layered onto cotton substrates were developed and applied to shoe insoles. The fabricated shoe insoles with functionalized PVA nanofibres exhibit remarkable antimicrobial activity against both E. coli and S. aureus (i.e. antibacterial rate > 99%). The creation of such an encouraging fabric could establish a new optimization methodology for producing nanoengineered functional textiles. This study aims to develop an antimicrobial insole with an electrospun nanofibre mat which contains green reduced Ag NPs by a facile fabrication method.![]()
