Abstract
In this work, a highly sensitive colorimetric sensing platform was designed for the detection of trichlorfon based on inhibiting thiocholine (TCh)-induced redox reaction. 5,10,15,20-Tetracarboxyphenylporphyrin (TCPP) functionalized CuCo2O4 (TCPP-CuCo2O4) was synthesized to construct a colorimetric sensing platform for trichlorfon. In the presence of H2O2, TCPP-CuCo2O4 can oxidize colorless 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) into blue ox-TMB, accompanied by a strong absorption peak at 652 nm, while acetylcholinesterase (AChE) can specifically hydrolyze acetylthiocholine (ATCh) into TCh, which can reduce ox-TMB back into colorless TMB, resulting in a lower absorbance at 652 nm. Trichlorfon can irreversibly inhibit the activity of AChE and thus recover the absorption peak. Under the optimized conditions, detection of trichlorfon has a wide linear range of 40-4000 ng mL-1 with a linear correlation coefficient of 0.9904. The proposed method can be applied to the detection of trichlorfon in vegetables and has good application prospects.

Abstract
With the continuously increasing global energy demand, there is an urgent requirement to find efficient methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) catalysts that can replace precious metals. In this work, we have elaborately integrated 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (H2TCPP) with copper cobaltate (CuCo2O4), which possesses efficient separation of photogenerated charges and increased active sites. The mass activity of H2TCPP/CuCo2O4 (534.75 mA mg-1) toward MOR is higher than that of pure CuCo2O4 (291.75 mA mg-1) under light. In addition, H2TCPP/CuCo2O4 can catalyze the oxidation of other alcohols, such as ethanol, ethanediol, isopropanol, and glycerol. This study demonstrates that it is feasible to enhance the MOR activity by the modification of bimetallic transition metal oxides with porphyrins.

Abstract
Designing durable, high-active, and low-cost noble-metal-free photoelectrocatalysts for methanol electrooxidation is highly demanded but remains a challenge. Herein, the photoelectrocatalytic activity of cobalt-copper layer double hydroxide (CoCu-LDH) for methanol oxidation reaction (MOR) in the alkaline media under light was remarkably enhanced by cerium (Ce) doping and further by 5,10,15,20-tetrakis(4-carboxylphenyl)porphyrin (TCPP) modification. TCPP/Ce-CoCu-LDH exhibits a remarkable mass activity of 1788.2 mA mg-1 in 1 mol L-1 KOH with 1 mol L-1 methanol under light, which is 2.3 and 1.8 times higher than that of CoCu-LDH (782.2 mA mg-1) and Ce-CoCu-LDH (987.4 mA mg-1). The UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra and photoluminescence emission spectra reveal that TCPP/Ce-CoCu-LDH can effectively utilize the visible light and inhibit the electron-hole pairs' recombination because of the introduction of porphyrin. Furthermore, more active sites and the greater electrical conductivity of TCPP/Ce-CoCu-LDH also contributed to the high photoelectrocatalytic activity. Thus, TCPP/Ce-CoCu-LDH can be used as a low-cost alternative for Pt-based catalyst toward MOR.

Abstract
Developing durable photocatalysts with highly efficient antibiotics degradation is crucial for environment purification. Herein, tetra (4-carboxyphenyl) porphyrin (TCPP) was loaded onto the surface of Bi2MoO6 microspheres to gain hierarchical organic-inorganic TCPP/Bi2MoO6 (TCPP/BMO) heterojunctions via a facile impregnation strategy. The catalytic properties of these catalysts were comprehensively investigated through the photodegradation of tetracycline hydrochloride (TC) under visible light. Among all the TCPP/BMO heterojunctions, the highest photodegradation rate constant (0.0278 min-1) was achieved with 0.25 wt% TCPP (TCPP/BMO-2), which was approximately 1.15 folds greater than that of pristine Bi2MoO6 and far superior to pure TCPP. The extremely high photocatalytic performance is attributed to the interfacial interaction between TCPP and Bi2MoO6, which favors the efficient separation of charge carriers and the enhancement of visible-light absorbance. TCPP/BMO-2 possesses high mineralization capability and good recycling performance. Photo-induced O2-, h+, and OH were mainly responsible for the degradation of TC. The degradation pathways of TC and toxicity of degradation intermediates were analyzed based on the intermediates detected by the high performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS) and the toxicity assessment by the quantitative structure-activity relationship (QSAR) prediction. A possible photocatalytic mechanism over TCPP/BMO is proposed. This work offers an insight in developing the porphyrin-based organic-inorganic heterojunctions for effectively remedying pharmaceutical wastewater.

Abstract
Urchin-like peroxidase mimics 5,10,15,20-tetrakis (4-carboxyl phenyl) porphyrin-functionalized CuCo2O4 nanospheres (Por-CuCo2O4) has been fabricated as an excellent visual biosensor. X-ray diffractometry (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) have been employed to characterize the composition, morphologies, and elemental analysis of the as-synthesized Por-CuCo2O4. The catalytic activity of Por-CuCo2O4 was evaluated by the chromogenic substrate 3,3',5,5'-tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) with the aid of H2O2, which exhibited a visual blue change with an absorption maximum at 652 nm for only 10 s. The peroxidase-like behaviors of Por-CuCo2O4 conformed to the Michaelis-Menten equation. Electrochemistry, radical scavenger, and fluorescence probe experiments verified that electron transfer, •O2- radicals, and holes (h+) are the important factors during the catalytic oxidation of TMB. Based on the inhibition of dopamine (DA) on TMB oxidation, the Por-CuCo2O4-based colorimetric biosensor has been successfully constructed for sensitive determination of DA witha detection limit (LOD) of 0.94 μΜ. In addition, colorimetry was validated to detect DA in serum samples with high sensitivity and good selectivity. 5,10,15,20-tetrakis (4-carboxyl phenyl) porphyrin-functionalized urchin-like CuCo2O4 (Por-CuCo2O4) with excellent peroxidase activity, ascribed to the synergistic effect between •O2- radicals and holes (h+). A fast colorimetric sensor on the basis of Por-CuCo2O4 has been constructed to quantitatively determine dopamine concentration in human serums.
