Abstract
In the present study, the magnetic Fe3O4/Ag2C2O4/Ag3PO4/Ag nanocomposite were prepared through a simple co-precipitation method by using calendula officinalis seed extract as a stabilizer. The fabricated quaternary photocatalyst was applied for to degrade food dye Brilliant Blue FCF (BB) and herbicide Paraquat (PQ) as contaminants at binary mixture in a batch and continuous flow-loop photoreactor under visible light irradiation and also the antibacterial properties was investigated. The fabricated nanocomposite was determined by XRD, FESEM, EDX, BET&BJH, UV-DRS, FT-IR and VSM methods to gain insight about structure, morphology, purity, surface area, optical, functional group and magnetic properties. The photoelectrochemical experiments, PL and DRS indicate the successful coupling of the active semiconductors. The degradation efficiency of BB and PQ was announced to be 88.9% and 92.72% under optimal conditions with a high reaction rate constant value (0.03 and 0.0326 min-1), respectively. The quaternary photocatalyst exhibited superior photocatalytic performance compared with Ag3PO4/Ag2C2O4 and Ag2C2O4. Various scavengers were used to explore the mechanism of photocatalytic performance and supports that [Formula: see text] and OH. is main active species in the degradation process of BB and PQ, respectively. Furthermore, the Fe3O4/Ag2C2O4/Ag3PO4/Ag also demonstrated bactericidal activity against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) as gram-positive bacteria and Escherichia coli (E. coli) as gram-negative bacteria.

Abstract
To detect biomarkers in complex samples, it is fundamental to avoid the nonspecific adsorption of impurities to improve the selectivity of biosensors. In this study, a sensitive antifouling electrochemiluminescence biosensor was proposed based on bovine serum albumin (BSA)- and exonuclease III (Exo III)-mediated nucleic acid cycle signal amplification strategy. Ti3C2Tx-NH4, which has a large surface area and high metal conductivity, was crosslinked with BSA to improve the conductivity of the sensing interface, which shows antifouling performance excellently due to the electrical neutrality and good hydrophilicity of BSA hydrogel. The cyclic amplification strategy based on Exo III and DNA hybridization chain reaction significantly amplified the electrochemiluminescence signal and improved the sensitivity of p53 gene detection. The linear range of the biosensor is 1 fM-1 nM with a detection limit of 0.26 fM. More importantly, the sensor showed excellent selectivity when it was used to detect the p53 gene in real samples, such as serum. Thus, this unique antifouling sensing interface is expected to construct various electrochemical biosensors in clinical diagnosis and biopathological analysis.

Abstract
Considering the high cost and tedious process of gene sequencing, there is an urgent need to develop portable and efficient sensors for the TP53 gene. Here, we developed a novel electrochemical sensor that detected the TP53 gene using magnetic peptide nucleic acid (PNA)-modified Fe3O4/α-Fe2O3@Au nanocomposites. Cyclic voltammetry and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy confirmed the successful stepwise construction of the sensor, especially the high-affinity binding of PNA to DNA strands, which induced different electron transfer rates and resulted in current changes. Variations in the differential pulse voltammetry current observed during hybridization at different surface PNA probe densities, hybridization times, and hybridization temperatures were explored. The biosensing strategy obtained a limit of detection of 0.26 pM, a limit of quantification of 0.85 pM, and a wide linear range (1 pM-1 μM), confirming that the Fe3O4/α-Fe2O3@Au nanocomposites and the strategy based on magnetic separation and magnetically induced self-assembly improved the binding efficiency of nucleic acid molecules. The biosensor was a label-free and enzyme-free device with excellent reproducibility and stability that could identify single-base mismatched DNA without additional DNA amplification procedures, and the serum spiked experiments revealed the feasibility of the detection approach.

Abstract
As an important tumor suppressor gene, the p53 gene is considered to be a typical biomarker for the early diagnosis and prognosis evaluation of severe cancer. Herein, an electrochemical biosensor was proposed for the ultrasensitive detection of the p53 gene based on molecular beacon-mediated circular strand displacement polymerization combined with terminal deoxynucleotide transferase-mediated template-free DNA extension. Firstly, the p53 gene opened the hairpin structure of the molecular beacon, thereby exposing the binding sequence region of the primer DNA. The circular strand displacement polymerization occurred in the presence of the primer DNA and phi29 DNA polymerase, subsequently resulting in the circulation of the p53 gene. With the catalysis of the terminal deoxynucleotide transferase, the 3'-OH terminal sequence of the molecular beacon elongated to produce long single-stranded DNA under the template-free DNA extension. Methylene blue bound with such DNA strands generated a strong differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) signal with a peak potential of -0.28 V. Under the optimal detection conditions, the DPV signal of methylene blue showed good linear relationships with the logarithm value of the p53 gene in two concentration ranges of 0.05 fM to 3 pM and 5 fM to 100 fM, and the detection limit of the p53 gene was as low as 0.018 fM. This electrochemical biosensor possessed high recognition ability for the p53 gene in its analogues and was successfully applied for p53 gene analysis in human serum samples.

Abstract
Both melatonin and ascorbic acid could perform an irreplaceable role in maintaining the ecological balance of the human body and fighting cardiovascular diseases. Herein, a dual-channel photo-assisted electrochemical sensor has been fabricated based on Au post-functionalized CeFeO3 nanospheres to simultaneously monitor melatonin and ascorbic acid for the first time. Briefly, CeFeO3 nanospheres are prepared through a hydrothermal and annealing process, and then the reduced Au nanoclusters are anchored on the surface of spheres to afford the CeFeO3@Au bi-nanospherical sensing probe. Impressively, the pre-fabricated sensor can produce a current signal 11% higher under light than that produced in a dark environment during the electrochemical measurements. Subsequently, the sensor fabricated by our strategy has achieved the simultaneous determination of melatonin and ascorbic acid with the wide detecting ranges of 1 nM-5 μM and 1 nM to 2 μM, and low detection limits of 0.8 nM and 0.4 nM by electrochemical measurements with the presence of the sunlight, and has shown satisfactory recoveries in the real sample measurements, demonstrating that the CeFeO3@Au bi-nanospherical sensing probe will be an auspicious candidate of advanced electrode material in photo-assisted electrochemical sensing applications.
