Abstract
A corolla-shaped Schiff base polymer was synthesized from terephthalaldehyde (TPAD), glutaraldehyde (GA), and p-phenylenediamine (PPD) by block copolymerization, and Schiff base iron complexes were formed by doping with FeCl3. The microscopic morphology, crystal structure, and elemental valence state were characterized by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). Comparing the change of conductivity before and after Fe3+ doping, it was found that the conductivity did not break away from the category of insulator, and the doped sample is a paramagnetic material. Morphological changes were observed by adjusting the ratio of GA to TPAD, and it was found that the corolla-like structure was most complete when the ratio of GA to TPAD was 2:1, and its Schiff base iron complex absorbed waves better. At a thickness of 3 mm, the absorption effect can reach below -10 dB at 12.44-15.16 GHz, and the maximum absorption value is -45.07 dB at a thickness of 3.8 mm; it is an organic absorbing agent with excellent impedance matching and absorbing properties.

Abstract
Three different complexes, TMeQ[6]-TBT, Q[7]-TBT, and Q[8]-TBT are constructed by three different cucurbiturils and synthesized by guest melamine-cored Schiff bases (TBT) through outer-surface interaction and host-guest interactions. TBT forms a TMeQ[6]-TBT complex with TMeQ[6] through outer-surface interaction, while Q[7]-TBT and Q[8]-TBT form complexes with Q[7,8] through host-guest interactions. Among them, Q[7]-TBT is selected as a UV detector for the detection of silver ions (Ag+). This work makes full use of the characteristics of each cucurbituril and melamine-cored Schiff base to construct a series of complexes and these are applied to metal detection.

Abstract
A tripodal Schiff base ligand, 2,4,6-Tris(4-carboxybenzimino)-1,3,5-triazine (MT) and its trinuclear Dy(III), Er(III), and Gd(III) complexes were synthesized. These were characterized using UV-visible, IR, 1H, and 13C NMR spectroscopies, elemental analysis, and molar conductivity measurements. The spectral studies indicate that the ligand is hexadentate and coordinates to the Ln(III) ions through the oxygen atoms of the carboxylic group. The trinuclear complexes were characterized as being bridged by carboxylate anions to the Dy(III), Er(III), and Gd(III) salen centers and displaying a coordination number of six. Biological studies revealed that MT is more active against the test micro-organisms relative to the trinuclear complexes. Acute toxicity studies revealed that MT is safe and has a wide range of effective doses (ED50). In vivo antimalarial studies indicate that MT could serve as an effective antimalarial agent since it has parasitemia inhibition of 84.02% at 50 mg/kg and 65.81% at 25 mg/kg, close to the value (87.22%) of the standard drug—Artesunate. Molecular docking simulation studies on the compounds against SARS-CoV-2 (6Y84) and E. coli DNA gyrase (5MMN) revealed effective binding interactions through multiple bonding modes. The binding energy calculated for Er(III)MT-6Y84 and Er(III)MT-5MMN complexes showed active molecules with the ability to inhibit SARS-CoV-2 and E. coli DNA gyrase.

Abstract
Four new tripodal-benzimidazole derivatives were synthesized by Schiff base reaction between 2,4,6-tris(p-formylphenoxy)-1,3,5-triazine (TRIPOD) and different diamine derivatives. The structures of the obtained compounds were identified by FT-IR, (1)H NMR, (13)C NMR and UV-vis spectral data, thermal analysis and elemental analysis. Electrochemical behaviors of the compounds were studied by cyclic voltammetry in DMF including 0.1 M [NBu(4)] [PF(6)]. The voltammograms showed peaks having similar characteristics except tripodal-benzimidazole including -NO(2) derivative. In addition, their antimicrobial activities were evaluated by using the standard disk diffusion method in dimethylformamide media. The activities were determined against 4 bacteria cultures by comparing to those of gentamycin.
