Abstract
An effective palladium nanocatalyst (Fe3O4@SiO2-FPBA-DTPA-Pd) was proposed and prepared, which was immobilized on magnetic silica with ethylenediamine pentaacetic acid and formylphenylboronic acid as biligands. A series of characterizations showed that Fe3O4@SiO2-FPBA-DTPA-Pd was 5-15 nm and contained 1.44 mmol/g Pd2+/Pd0. It was stable below 232.7 °C, and its saturation magnetization value was 21.17 emu/g which was easily recycled by a magnet. Its catalytic ability was evaluated through 7 Suzuki reactions and 15 Heck reactions. Results showed that the yields of 14 reactions catalyzed by Fe3O4@SiO2-FPBA-DTPA-Pd were more than 90%, while were better than those of the other two immobilized Pd catalysts on a single diethyltriamine pentaacetic acid (DTPA) group or boronic acid group. Moreover, Fe3O4@SiO2-FPBA-DTPA-Pd showed good reusability in both Suzuki and Heck reactions. In two model Suzuki and Heck reactions, after seven cycles, its yields were still above 95% without significant loss, which exceeded those of many reported catalysts; therefore, it has great potential in future large-scale industrial production.

Abstract
The aim of this review is to highlight how the diversity generated by N-substitution in the well-known short-bite ligand bis(diphenylphosphino)amine (DPPA) allows a fine-tuning of the ligand properties and offers a considerable scope for tailoring the properties and applications of their corresponding metal complexes. The various N-substituents include nitrogen-, oxygen-, phosphorus-, sulfur-, halogen-, and silicon-based functionalities and directly N-bound metals. Multiple DPPA-type ligands linked through an organic spacer and N-functionalized DRPA-type ligands, in which the PPh2 substituents are replaced by PR2 (R = alkyl, benzyl) groups, are also discussed. Owing to the considerable diversity of N-functionalized DPPA-type ligands available, the applications of their mono- and polynuclear metal complexes are very diverse and range from homogeneous catalysis with well-defined or in situ generated (pre)catalysts to heterogeneous catalysis and materials science. In particular, sustained interest for DPPA-type ligands has been motivated, at least in part, by their ability to promote selective ethylene tri- or tetramerization in combination with chromium. Ligands and metal complexes where the N-substituent is a pure hydrocarbon group (as opposed to N-functionalization) are outside the scope of this review. However, when possible, a comparison between the catalytic performances of N-functionalized systems with those of their N-substituted analogs will be provided.

Abstract
Abstract
In this research, the kinetics of platinum extraction from a selective linear paraffin dehydrogenation spent catalyst in cyanide solutions at high pressure and temperature was experimentally studied. Three variables, including reaction temperature, initial sodium cyanide concentration in solution and liquid to solid weight ratio were investigated. Based on the design of experiments via response surface methodology (RSM) by computer simulating software “Minitab 16”, experiments were carried out at operating conditions including five solution temperatures, five initial concentrations of cyanide solution and five liquid/solid weight ratios. The effects of these operating conditions on the reaction kinetics and extraction time were determined. The obtained kinetics data were fitted into an empirical power–law rate equation. The kinetics model parameters were evaluated by using experimental data via non-linear regression analysis. It was found that the platinum extraction from a selective linear paraffin dehydrogenation spent catalyst in cyanide solution at high pressure and temperature can be appropriately modeled by the proposed correlation in the selected range of operating conditions.

Abstract
The reaction of dichlorido(cod)palladium(II) (cod = 1,5-cyclooctadiene) with 2-(benzylsulfanyl)aniline followed by heating in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) produces the linear trinuclear Pd3 complex bis(μ2-1,3-benzothiazole-2-thiolato)bis[μ2-2-(benzylsulfanyl)anilinido]dichloridotripalladium(II) N,N-dimethylformamide disolvate, [Pd3(C7H4NS2)2(C13H12NS)2Cl2]·2C3H7NO. The molecule has -1 symmetry and a Pd...Pd separation of 3.2012 (4) Å. The outer Pd(II) atoms have a square-planar geometry formed by an N,S-chelating 2-(benzylsulfanyl)anilinide ligand, a chloride ligand and the thiolate S atom of a bridging 1,3-benzothiazole-2-thiolate ligand, while the central Pd(II) core shows an all N-coordinated square-planar geometry. The geometry is perfectly planar within the PdN4 core and the N-Pd-N bond angles differ significantly [84.72 (15)° for the N atoms of ligands coordinated to the same outer Pd atom and 95.28 (15)° for the N atoms of ligands coordinated to different outer Pd atoms]. This trinuclear Pd3 complex is the first example of one in which 1,3-benzothiazole-2-thiolate ligands are only N-coordinated to one Pd centre. The 1,3-benzothiazole-2-thiolate ligands were formed in situ from 2-(benzylsulfanyl)aniline.

Abstract
A number of novel benzimidazolium salts having aryl substituents such as N-phenyl, 4-chlorophenyl and various alkyl substituents were synthesized. Their microwave-assisted catalytic activities were evaluated in Heck-Mizoroki and Suzuki-Miyaura cross-coupling reactions using a catalytic system consisting of Pd(OAc)2/K2CO3 in DMF/H2O under mild reaction conditions with consistent high yields, except those of 2-bromopyridine.

Abstract
The Heck reaction of aryl halides with terminal olefins was successfully performed by using Pd (OAc)2 as the catalyst in a ligand-free PEG1000-DIL (PEG1000-based dicationic ionic liquid)/toluene system exhibiting temperature-dependent biphasic behavior. In addition, the isolation of the products is readily performed by a simply decantation, and the catalytic system can be recycled and reused without loss of catalytic activity.
