Abstract
Patients' sexuality is one of the major and most neglected impact of breast cancer (BC) and its treatment. Even though research is ongoing on the subject, sexuality issues are rarely taken into account and efficiently dealt with in clinical practice. The objective is to review the impact of BC and its treatment on modern women sexuality. In the literature, a heterogeneous level of advancement is notable in the different publishing countries depending on the cultural background; some countries simply do not publish on the matter, others mainly discuss the male partners and practicians experience, and lastly, the most progressive countries have moved up to studying niches of patients such as sexual and gender minorities. A multidisciplinary approach, including pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic management, appears most efficient. There is a need for greater inclusion of partners and for providing a specific training to first-line health care providers. This review provides a general contemporary worldwide overview of the state of the art in sexuality issues in BC patients and survivors.

Abstract
OBJECTIVES Depression as well as a treatment by antidepressant are factors that may interfere with sexuality. Due to this complex relationship between depression, antidepressant and sexuality, it is difficult to incontestably establish the exclusive accountability of a treatment or of a psychiatric disorder on sexual dysfunctions. The main purpose of the SADD (for Sexuality, Anti-Depressant and Depression) study is to evaluate sexual dysfunctions in depressed men treated with antidepressant or not. METHODS Participants of this transversal, observational study were men aged over 18 years old, suffering from unipolar major depressive disorder and treated by a psychiatrist, with or without antidepressant. Assessment of sexual functioning through three times: euthymia (before depression), untreated depression and treated depression if applicable was performed based on the ASEX scale. RESULTS Seventy patients were included. Eight percent of euthymic patients presented a sexual dysfunction (average score on the ASEX=12.4) whereas 56% of untreated patients presented a sexual dysfunction (average total score on the ASEX=17.7) and 62% (34/55) of patients treated with antidepressant (average total score on ASEX=18.5) (P<0.001). Sexual functioning of men receiving treatment is not significantly different to that among men not receiving any antidepressant, even if patients treated with antidepressant reported that they had a better mood than those untreated. CONCLUSIONS Our results reveal a high prevalence of sexual dysfunction within the framework of major depressive disorder and its treatment and underlines the complex relationship between major depressive disorder, antidepressant and sexuality.

Depression and obesity, but not mild obstructive sleep apnea, are associated factors for female sexual dysfunction. Sleep Breath 2021; 26:697-705. Abstract
PURPOSE Mild obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is more prevalent than moderate and severe OSA and is more frequent in men than women. The association between OSA and female sexual dysfunction (FSD) is still poorly explored in published studies. Our aim was to investigate the prevalence of FSD in women with mild OSA and assess the impact of OSA on FSD, as well as to determine the predictors for FSD risk. METHODS The sample comprised 70 women aged 26-65 years: a control group (N = 28) with no sleep complaints, and a group with mild OSA (an apnea-hypopnea index of 5 or more and less than 15 events/hour, N = 42), who had been diagnosed using polysomnography performed in the sleep laboratory of a sleep research institute. All participants volunteered to take part in the study and completed the female sexual function index (FSFI), the Beck depression index (BDI), the Kupperman menopausal index (KMI), and the Epworth sleepiness scale (ESS). Their socioeconomic group was assessed using the Brazilian Economic Classification Criterion. Polysomnography and serum levels of free testosterone and total testosterone were analyzed. RESULTS We found low FSFI scores (< 26.55) in the mild OSA (18.1) and control (21.7) groups (p = 0.97). There was no statistically significant difference between the mild OSA group and the control group. However, a higher BMI (p = 0.04), a higher BDI (p = 0.02), and being sexuality inactive (p = 0.001) were risk factors for FSD. CONCLUSION There was a high prevalence of FSD in the entire sample. The presence of mild OSA did not affect sexual function in this sample. Depressive symptoms and a high BMI were associated risk factors for FSD. Being sexually active may protect female sexual function.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sexual dysfunctions (SD) in schizophrenia are frequent with strong impact on adherence and quality of life. Current recommendations stipulate to switch to prolactin-sparing antipsychotic in case of SD. OBJECTIVES To synthetize in a systematic review data on the SD prevalence and the associated risk factors in schizophrenia (SZ). METHODS Medline, Google Scholar, PsychInfo, and Cochrane were explored, without any year or language restriction. RESULTS Overall, 89 studies and 25,490 participants were included in the present review. SZ subjects aged 18-70 reported high SD frequency [30%-82%] (men [33%- 85%]; women [25%- 85%]). For SZ men erectile dysfunction [31%-95%] was the most frequent SD vs. loss of libido for women [31%-100%]. The following risk factors were associated with increased SD: 1. Illness severity (including psychotic symptomatology, early age at SZ onset, negative symptomatology, and continuous illness course), 2. Depressive symptomatology 3. Antipsychotics (especially first generation antipsychotics, risperidone and antipsychotic polytherapy). Switching to prolactin-sparing antipsychotics has shown effectiveness in some studies (especially aripiprazole). Antidepressants were not found to be associated with SD in SZ subjects. CONCLUSION The prevalence of SD is high in SZ subjects. In addition to the current guidelines, the present review suggests that treating depressive symptoms may be a major intervention to improve SD in SZ subjects. Sociodemographic variables, physical illnesses, metabolic syndrome and peripheral inflammation have been poorly or never explored and should be included in future studies.

Abstract
Depression as such causes emotional and physical disturbances that affect biological functions such as sleep, appetite, decreased libido and lack of interest in sexual function. Indeed, there is a significant incidence of sexual dysfunction in depressed patients. In addition, depression and sexual dysfunction have a significant impact on the quality of life of couples which can be improved by managing these two conditions between which there seems to be a two-way causal link. Sexual dysfunction has long been neglected in the clinic of depression. In Morocco, depression affects more than a quarter of the population. However, to date, no study has focused on the assessment of sexual function in relation to depression among Moroccans. OBJECTIVES This work aimed to evaluate the prevalence and characteristics of sexual dysfunction in Moroccan patients consulting for a first depressive episode. METHODS This is a descriptive cross-sectional study. All subjects included in this study were consulting for a first major depressive episode according to DSM-5 criteria from June 1st to November 30th, 2017 at the psychiatric university department at Ibn Nafis hospital in Marrakech. The severity of depression was assessed using the Hamilton scale. The ASEX (Arizona Sexuel Experience) scale was used to define sexual dysfunction. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 22 software. RESULTS Fifty eight patients were recruited 34 of whom were female. They had an average age of 37 years. The majority were between 27 and 42 years old (59 %), married (81 %), with an average level of education (34.5 %). The average duration of the episode was 57 days. The major depressive episode was severe in 62 % of patients. According to the ASEX, 77.6 % of the depressed patients had a clinically significant sexual dysfunction. The majority of our patients (60.3 %) consulting for depression attach their sexual dysfunction to their depressed mood, either by reporting the onset of sexual dysfunction at the same time as depression (53.4 %), or worsening after the depression onset (6.9 %). The frequency of sexual intercourse with the pre-depressive state was decreased in the majority of our sample. Sexual desire was the most impaired phase of the sexual response (58.6 %) followed by excitation (53.4 %) and then orgasm (51.7 %). Of the 47 married patients, more than two thirds (32 patients) were dissatisfied with their life as a couple as well as with different aspects of their relationship life. The majority of patients reporting marital dissatisfaction attributed the cause to the quality of their sexual intercourses rather than to their frequency or other relational aspects. Sexual dysfunction was significantly correlated with the severity of depression (P=0.031), whereas it was not correlated with duration of depressive episode (P=0.412) or age or patient sex (P=0.114, P=0.202 respectively). CONCLUSIONS The prevalence of sexual dysfunction is high in depressed patients. It significantly impacts the couple's quality of life. Although our main limitation was the small sample size which prevented us from doing a multi-varied analysis, the robust nature of this study lies in documenting the initial prevalence and types of sexual dysfunctions in both sexes in the first major depressive episode unrelated to the dysfunctions induced by antidepressant drugs. The early identification of sexual disorders and the consideration of couple dynamics would be two important elements in the management of the depressed patient.

Abstract
BACKGROUND Sexual dysfunctions (SD) are frequent in schizophrenia (SZ) and associated with treatment withdrawal, however they remain under-explored and under-treated. To date, most of the studies have focused on SD as antipsychotics' side effects in therapeutic trials. AIMS The objectives of the present study were to determine the SD prevalence in stabilized SZ outpatients and their clinical, pharmacological and biological correlates. METHOD Two hundred and thirty-seven participants (61.2% men) were consecutively included and received a thorough 2 days- clinical assessment including the self-reported Sexual Functioning Questionnaire (SFQ). SD was defined by a SFQ score ≥ 8. RESULTS Two hundred and thirty-seven subjects were recruited in the FACE-SZ cohort, 41% of them reported sexual dysfunctions. In multivariate analyses, SD have been associated with current major depressive disorder (adjusted odd ratio aOR = 2.29[1.08-4.85], p = .03), anticholinergic prescription (aOR = 2.65, p = .02) and chronic low-grade inflammation (aOR = 2.09, p = .03) independently of age, gender, current cannabis use disorder and olanzapine prescription. No antipsychotic has been associated with increased or decreased SD rate. CONCLUSIONS SD are frequent in SZ subjects. Major depression, anticholinergic prescription and chronic low-grade peripheral inflammation may be the three targets of interest for addressing this specific issue.

Sexual health, adherence to Mediterranean diet, body weight, physical activity and mental state: factors correlated to each other. Urologia 2017; 84:221-225. Abstract
INTRODUCTION Mediterranean diet has shown a protective role against cardiovascular disease, diabetes, cancer onset, microvascular damage and dementia in many trials. Our purpose is the assessment of a correlation between physical activity, Mediterranean diet, body mass index (BMI), depression and erection disorder (ED). METHODS After having signed disclaimer to the study participation, we administered the IIEF 15 questionnaire (International Index of Erectil Function), the Hamilton questionnaire for major depression, the Med-Diet Questionnaire, the Ipaq Questionnaire (International Index of Physical Activity) to 245 patients and calculated the BMI. Only 141 were eligible. We excluded patients with a history of smoking, with obesity from the second grade to rise, anorexia, hyperlipidemia, Induratio Penis Plastica, diabetes, cardiovascular and neurological disease, hypogonadism, prostatitis, diabetes, hypertension, psychiatric diseases and the history of radical prostatectomy and finally age >72 and <50 years or who were taking cholesterol-lowering medication. Patients were divided into two groups: 65 patients without ED and 76 patients with ED. RESULTS We found a statistically difference in BMI between the groups. Adherence to Med-Diet showed a significant difference between the two groups at Student t-test and the Chi-square test. The Ipaq test and Hamilton test did not show statistical differences between the two groups neither for Student t-test nor for Chi-square test, but high levels seem to be protective factors. CONCLUSIONS Body weight and a healthy diet are protective factors against the ED, more than a sufficient physical activity. Depression has shown only a worsening tendency of the erection.
