Abstract
Herein, we present a highly efficient dual-functionalized acid-base nanocatalyst, denoted as Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES, featuring sulfuric acid and tertiary amines as its dual functional components. This catalyst is synthesized through the immobilization of 4-(2-hydroxyethyl)-1-piperazineethanesulfonic acid (HEPES) as the source of these functionalities onto magnetite (Fe3O4) using 3-glycidoxypropyltriethoxysilane (GLYMO) as a linker. Characterization studies confirm the integrity of the Fe3O4 core, with the GLYMO-HEPES coating exhibiting no phase changes. Furthermore, Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES nanoparticles demonstrate a uniform size distribution without aggregation. Notably, the catalyst exhibits remarkable stability up to 200 °C and possesses a saturation magnetization value of 31.5 emu/g, facilitating easy recovery via magnetic separation. These findings underscore the potential of Fe3O4@GLYMO-HEPES as a versatile and recyclable nanocatalyst for various applications. Its catalytic ability was evaluated in the synthesis of various pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazoles and 2-amino-3-cyano-4H-chromenes through a tandem Knorr-Knoevenagel-Michael-Thorpe-Ziegler-type heterocyclization mechanism, using different aldehydes. A wide range of fused heterocycles was synthesized having good to excellent yields. The process is cost-effective, safe, sustainable, and scalable, and the catalyst can be reused up to five times. The prepared catalyst was found to be highly stable and heterogeneous and showed good recyclability.

Abstract
Herein, we report the design and synthesis of Co-MOF-71/imidazole/SO3H as a novel porous catalyst with sulfonic acid tags. The structure and morphology of the catalyst were investigated using various techniques such as Fourier transform-infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), SEM elemental mapping, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy, Barret-Joyner-Halenda, and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms. Co-MOF-71/imidazole/SO3H was studied in the preparation of novel pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines under mild and green conditions via a cooperative vinylogous anomeric-based oxidation. A wide range of mono and bis pyrazolo[3,4-b]pyridines were synthesized with good to excellent yields (65-82%). A hot filtration test for the heterogeneous nature of the catalyst indicated the high stability of the prepared catalyst. The recyclability of Co-MOF-71/imidazole/SO3H is another advantage of the present methodology. The structures of the final products were confirmed using FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and 13C-NMR spectroscopic techniques.

Abstract
A stereoselective, scalable, and metal-free ring-expansion of monocyclopropanated pyrroles and furans has been developed, leading to value-added highly functionalized tetrahydropyridine and dihydro-2H-pyran derivatives. Featuring a cyclopropylcarbinyl cation rearrangement as the key step, the selective cleavage of the unactivated endocyclic cyclopropane C-C bond is achieved. Targeted transformations of the thus obtained six-membered heterocycles give access to versatile building blocks with relevance for drug synthesis.

Abstract
A metal-organic framework (MOF) with sulfonic acid tags as a novel mesoporous catalyst was synthesized. The precursor of Zr-UiO-66-PDC was synthesized both via chemical and electrochemical methods. Then, zirconium-based mesoporous metal-organic framework [Zr-UiO-66-PDC-SO3H]Cl was prepared by reaction of Zr-UiO-66-PDC and SO3HCl. The structure of [Zr-UiO-66-PDC-SO3H]Cl was confirmed by FT-IR, PXRD, FE-SEM, TEM, BET, EDX, and Mapping analysis. This mesoporous [Zr-UiO-66-PDC-SO3H]Cl was successfully applied for the synthesis of dicyanomethylene pyridine derivatives via condensation of various aldehyde, 2-aminoprop-1-ene-1,1,3-tricarbonitrile and malononitrile. At the electrochemical section, a green electrochemical method has successfully employed for rapid synthesis of the zirconium-based mesoporous metal-organic framework UiO-66-PDC at room temperature and atmospheric pressure. The synthesized UiO-66-PDC has a uniform cauliflower-like structure with a 13.5 nm mean pore diameter and 1081.6 m2 g-1 surface area. The described catalyst [Zr-UiO-66-PDC-SO3H]Cl was also employed for the convergent paired electrochemical synthesis of dihydropyridine derivatives as an environmentally friendly technique under constant current at 1.0 mA cm-2 in an undivided cell. The proposed method proceeds with moderate to good yields for the model via a cooperative vinylogous anomeric based oxidation.

Abstract
A novel series of tacrine based cyclopentapyranopyridine- and tetrahydropyranoquinoline-kojic acid derivatives were designed, synthesized, and evaluated as anti-cholinesterase agents. The chemical structures of all target compounds were characterized by 1 H-NMR, 13 C-NMR, and elemental analyses. The synthesized compounds mostly inhibited acetylcholinesterase enzyme (AChE) with IC50 values of 4.18-48.71 μM rather than butyrylcholinesterase enzyme (BChE) with IC50 values of >100 μM. Among them, cyclopentapyranopyridine-kojic acid derivatives showed slightly better AChE inhibitory activity compared to tetrahydropyranoquinoline-kojic acid. The compound 10-amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-11-(4-isopropylphenyl)-7,8,9,11-tetrahydro-4H-cyclopenta[b]pyrano[2',3' : 5,6]pyrano[3,2-e]pyridin-4-one (6f) bearing 4-isopropylphenyl moiety and cyclopentane ring exhibited the highest anti-AChE activity with IC50 value of 4.18 μM. The kinetic study indicated that the compound 6f acts as a mixed inhibitor and the molecular docking studies also illustrated that the compound 6f binds to both the catalytic site (CS) and peripheral anionic site (PAS) of AChE. The compound 6f showed moderate neuroprotective properties against H2 O2 -induced cytotoxicity in PC12 cells. The theoretical ADME study also predicted good drug-likeness for the compound 6f. Based on these results, the compound 6f seems to be a very promising AChE inhibitor for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease.

Abstract
Background:
Since the discovery of metal-free catalysts or organocatalysts about twenty
years ago, a number of small molecules with different structures have been used to accelerate organic
transformations. With the development of environmental awareness, to obtain highly efficient
scaffolds, scientists have directed their studies towards synthetic methodologies that minimize
or preferably eliminate the formation of waste, avoid toxic solvents and reagents and use renewable
starting materials as far as possible.
Methods:
In this connection, the organocatalytic reactions providing efficiency and selectivity for
most of the transformations have become an endless topic in organic chemistry since several advantages
from both practical and environmental standpoints. Organocatalysts contributing to the transformation
of reactants into products with the least possible waste production, have been serving the
concept of green chemistry.
Results and Conclusion:
Organocatalysts have been classified based on their binding capacity to
the substrate with covalent or noncovalent interactions involving hydrogen bonding and electrostatic
interaction. Diverse types of small organic compounds including proline and its derivatives,
phase-transfer catalysts, (thio)urease, phosphoric acids, sulfones, N-oxides, guanidines, cinchona
derivatives, aminoindanol, and amino acids have been utilized as hydrogen bonding organocatalysts
in different chemical transformations.

Abstract
Herein, two novel mesoporous cross-linked poly(vinyl imidazole)s with sulfonic acid tags, [PVI-SO3H]Cl (1) and [PVI-SO3H]FeCl4 (2), were prepared and characterized by a variety of techniques such as Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, scanning electron microscopy, elemental mapping, energy dispersive X-ray analysis, transmission electron microscopy, thermal gravimetry, derivative thermal gravimetry, and N2 adsorption-desorption isotherms (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller). In addition, magnetic properties of poly(vinyl imidazole) sulfonic acid iron(IV) chloride [PVI-SO3H]FeCl4 (2) as an ionically tagged magnetic polymer were investigated using a vibrating sample magnetometer. The presented polymers, [PVI-SO3H]Cl (1) and [PVI-SO3H]FeCl4 (2), were successfully applied as reusable and efficient catalysts for the preparation of N-heterocycle spiropyrans. The described catalysts were recycled and reused with a marginal decrease in their catalytic activities. The desired products were prepared under mild and green conditions. The structures of the obtained products were confirmed by various analysis techniques.
