Abstract
The aryl O-carbamate (ArOAm) group is among the strongest of the directed metalation groups (DMGs) in directed ortho metalation (DoM) chemistry, especially in the form Ar-OCONEt2. Since the last comprehensive review of metalation chemistry involving ArOAms (published more than 30 years ago), the field has expanded significantly. For example, it now encompasses new substrates, solvent systems, and metalating agents, while conditions have been developed enabling metalation of ArOAm to be conducted in a green and sustainable manner. The ArOAm group has also proven to be effective in the anionic ortho-Fries (AoF) rearrangement, Directed remote metalation (DreM), iterative DoM sequences, and DoM-halogen dance (HalD) synthetic strategies and has been transformed into a diverse range of functionalities and coupled with various groups through a range of cross-coupling (CC) strategies. Of ultimate value, the ArOAm group has demonstrated utility in the synthesis of a diverse range of bioactive and polycyclic aromatic compounds for various applications.

Abstract
A novel, efficient, and recyclable mesoporous Fe3O4@SiO2@SBA-3@CPTMS@Arg-Cu nanocatalyst was synthesized by grafting l-arginine (with the ability to coordinate with Cu) onto a mixed phase of a magnetic mesoporous SBA-3 support. The catalyst was characterized using several techniques, including Fourier-transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), vibrating sample magnetometry (VSM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis, N2 adsorption-desorption analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) analysis, and atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The resulting solid material possessed a surface area of 145 m2 g-1 and a total pore volume of 34 cm3 g-1. The prepared mesoporous material was studied as a practical, recyclable, and chemoselective catalyst in some organic functional group transformations such as the conversion of nitriles to amides and synthesis of 5-substituted 1H-tetrazoles. This novel magnetic nanocatalyst proved to be effective and provided the products in high to excellent yields under green solvent conditions. Meanwhile, the as-prepared Fe3O4@SiO2@SBA-3@CPTMS@Arg-Cu demonstrated excellent reusability and stability under reaction conditions, and its catalytic activity shown only a slight decrease after seven consecutive runs. Therefore, the as-synthesized magnetic Fe3O4@SiO2@SBA-3@CPTMS@Arg-Cu has broad prospects for practical applications, and offers various benefits such as simplicity, nontoxicity, low cost, simple work-up, and an environmentally benign nature.

Abstract
At first, an organometallic catalyst namely, Pd-DPyE@MCM-41@MNP was prepared through magnetic (Fe3O4) nanoparticles-doped into channels of mesoporous silica MCM-41 and then, anchoring a novel complex composed of di(4-pyridyl)ethylene and palladium on the inner surface of the support. This immobilized catalyst was successfully identified via VSM, ICP-OES, TEM, FTIR, TGA, SEM, BET, XRD, EDX and elemental mapping analyses. After that, it was used as a versatile, heterogeneous, and magnetically reproducible catalyst in the generation of N,N'-alkylidene bisamides (1a-13a, 8-20 min, 90-98%, 50 °C, solvent-free) and Suzuki-Miyaura coupling (SMC) reaction derivatives (1b-26b, 10-140 min, 86-98%, 60 °C, PEG-400). The VSM plot of Pd-DPyE@MCM-41@MNP displays that this nanocatalyst can be easily recycled by applying an external magnetic field. In both synthetic paths, this nanocatalyst was reused at least seven times without palladium leaching and significantly reducing its catalytic performance. Also, stability and heterogeneous nature of catalyst were approved via ICP-OES technique and hot filtration test.

Abstract
In this study, a novel heterogeneous catalyst (Fe3O4@β-CD@Pd) has been developed by the deposition of palladium nanoparticles on the β-cyclodextrin-functionalized surface of magnetic Fe3O4. The catalyst was prepared by a simple chemical co-precipitation method and characterized extensively by using Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and inductively coupled plasma-optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) analyses. Herein, the applicability of the prepared material was evaluated for the catalytic reduction of environmentally toxic nitroarenes to the corresponding anilines. The catalyst Fe3O4@β-CD@Pd showed excellent efficiency for the reduction of nitroarenes in water under mild conditions. A low catalyst loading of 0.3 mol % Pd is found to be efficient for reducing nitroarenes in excellent to good (99-95%) yields along with high TON values (up to 330). Nevertheless, the catalyst was recycled and reused up to the 5th cycle of reduction of nitroarene without any loss of significant catalytic activity.

Abstract
Boehmite is a natural and environmentally friendly compound. Herein boehmite nanoparticles were primarily synthesized and, then, their surface were modified via 3-choloropropyltrimtoxysilane (CPTMS). Afterwards, a new samarium complex was stabilized on the surface of the modified boehmite nanoparticles (Sm-bis(PYT)@boehmite). The obtained nanoparticles were characterized using thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET), wavelength dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (WDX), scanning electron microscope (SEM), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern. Sm-bis(PYT)@boehmite was used as an environmentally friendly, efficient, and organic-inorganic hybrid nanocatalyst in the homoselective synthesis of tetrazoles in polyethylene glycol 400 (PEG-400) as a green solvent. Notably, Sm-bis(PYT)@boehmite is stable and has a heterogeneous nature. Thus, it can be reused for several runs without any re-activation.

Abstract
AbstractThe present study deals with the preparation of nanomagnetite (NM), potassium carrageenan (KC), and nanomagnetite/potassium carrageenan bio-composite beads (NC). Characterization of the prepared solid materials using different physicochemical techniques such as X-ray diffraction analysis (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM), energy-disperse X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), diffuse reflectance spectrophotometer (DRS), swelling ratio (SR%), N2 adsorption, pH of point of zero charges (pHPZC), and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). Comparing between adsorption and photo-Fenton degradation process for methylene blue (MB) on the surface of the prepared solid materials. Nanomagnetite/potassium carrageenan bio-composite (NC) exhibited high specific surface area (406 m2/g), mesoporosity (pore radius, 3.64 nm), point of zero charge around pH6.0, and the occurrence of abundant oxygen-containing functional groups. Comparison between adsorption and photo-Fenton oxidation process for methylene blue (MB) was carried out under different application conditions. NC exhibited the maximum adsorption capacity with 374.50 mg/g at 40 °C after 24 h of shaking time while 96.9% of MB was completely degraded after 20 min of photo-Fenton process. Langmuir's adsorption model for MB onto the investigated solid materials is the best-fitted adsorption model based on the higher correlation coefficient values (0.9771–0.9999). Kinetic and thermodynamic measurements prove that adsorption follows PSO, endothermic, and spontaneous process, while photo-Fenton degradation of MB achieves PFO, nonspontaneous, and endothermic process. Photo-Fenton degradation is a fast and simple technique at a lower concentration of dye (< 40 mg/L) while at higher dye concentration, the adsorption process is preferred in the removal of that dye.

Abstract
Nanomagnetic dapsone-Cu supported on the silica-coated Fe3O4 (Fe3O4@SiO2-pr@dapsone-Cu) nanocomposite was synthesized and characterized by Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR), energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX), X-ray diffraction (XRD), field emission scanning electron microscope (FE-SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), zeta potential, vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM), and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA). This newly synthesized nanocomposite was chosen to act as a green, efficient, and recyclable Lewis acid for the multicomponent synthesis of new derivatives of pyrano[3,2-c]chromene-diones through the reaction of aromatic aldehydes, indandione, and 4-hydroxycoumarin in water. All of the synthesized compounds are new and are recognized by FT-IR, NMR, and elemental analysis; this avenue is new and has advantages such as short reaction times, high productivity, economical synthesis, and use of green solvent, H2O, as a medium. The catalyst is magnetically recoverable and can be used after six runs without a decrease in the efficiency.
