Synthesis, characterization and catalytic application of some novel binuclear transition metal complexes of bis-(2-acetylthiophene) oxaloyldihydrazone for CN bond formation

Synthesis and crystal structure of N1,N2-di-methyl-ethane-dihydrazide

The title compound, N 1,N 2-di-methyl-ethane-dihydrazide, C4H10N4O2, was obtained by the methyl-ation of oxalyl dihydrazide protected with phthalimide. The mol-ecule is essentially non-planar with a dihedral angle between the two planar hydrazide fragments of 86.5 (2)°. This geometry contributes to the formation of a multi-contact three-dimensional supra-molecular network via C-H⋯O, N-H⋯O and N-H⋯N hydrogen bonds.

Self-assembly of new cobalt complexes based on [Co (SCN)4], synthesis, empirical, antioxidant activity, and quantum theory investigations

The cobalt (II) complexes have been synthesized from the reaction of the cationic entities (3,4-dimethylaniline (1) and histamine (2)) with metallic salt CoCl₂⋅6H₂O and thiocyanate ion (SCN⁻) as a ligand in H₂O/ethanolic solution and processing by the evaporation crystal growth method at room temperature to get crystals. The synthesized complex has been fully characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. UV–Visible, FTIR spectroscopy, TGA analysis, and DFT circulations were also performed. The crystal structural analysis reveals that the solid (1) {[Co(SCN)₄] (C₈H₁₂N)₃}·Cl crystallizes in the monoclinic system with the space group P2₁/n and the solid (2) {[Co(SCN)₄](C₅H₁₁N₃)₂}·2Cl crystallizes in the monoclinic space group P2₁/m. Metal cations are joined into corrugated chains parallel to the b-axis direction in (1) and (2) by four thiocyanate anions. The crystal structures of (1) and (2) were calculated using XRPD data, indicating that they are closely connected to the DRX mono-crystal results. Different interactions pack the system into a ring formed by N–H⋯Cl and N–H⋯S hydrogen bonds. C–H⋯π and the π⋯π stacking of anilinuim ring for (1) and N–H⋯S intermolecular interactions for (1) and (2) increase the crystals' robustness. Hirshfeld surface analysis cum 2D fingerprint plots visualize the main intermolecular interactions with their contributions in the solid-state phase. The molecular geometries of both complexes obtained from the crystal structure were used for quantum chemical calculation. Here, frontier orbital analysis and electrostatic potential illustrate the chemical reactivities of metal–organic complexes. QTAIM and NCI analysis reveal the strength of interactions at the electronic level.

Synthetic applications and methodology development of Chan-Lam coupling: a review

Chan-Lam coupling is one of the most popular and easy methods to perform arylation of amines (N-arylations). This cross-coupling is generally performed by reacting aryl boronate derivatives with a variety of substrates involving nitrogen containing functional groups such as amines, amides, ureas, hydrazine, carbamates. A binuclear Cu(i) complex as a novel catalyst towards the direct synthesis of N-2-aryl-substituted-1,2,3-triazoles from chalcones

A binuclear Cu(i)-complex with N′,N′-bis{(1H-indol-3-yl)methylene}oxalohydrazide is synthesized and characterized. The complex has been employed as a catalyst for one-pot operation involving the azide–chalcone click reaction and subsequent arylation.

Synthesis, characterization and electrochemical studies of some Ni(II)Cu(II) heterobimetallic complexes derived from succinoyldihydrazones

Synthesis, structural characterization and redox properties of three heterobimetallic complexes with formule {[NiCu(L(n))(CH3OH)3]·CH3OH} using [Cu(H2L(n))(H2O)] as metalloligand have been demonstrated in the present paper. Electronic spectroscopy suggests that the copper center has a pseudo square pyramidal stereochemistry in all the complexes while the nickel center has a distorted octahedral stereochemistry. The electron transfer reactions of the complexes have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry.

Synthesis and characterization of perchlorato bridged Cu2(II)Zn(II) heterotrinuclear complexes derived from succinoyldihydrazones

In the present paper three new heterotrimetallic Cu(II)-Zn(II)-Cu(II) complexes have been synthesized and characterized by analytical and spectroscopic studies. The molar conductance values for the complexes fall in the region 1.2-1.7Ω(-1)cm(2)mol(-1) in DMSO solution indicating that all of the complexes are non-electrolyte. The dihydrazone ligand is present in enol form in all of the complexes. Both the copper centres have distorted square pyramidal stereochemistry in all of the complexes while the zinc centre in all hetero metal complexes has octahedral stereochemistry. The EPR parameters of the complexes indicate that the copper centre has [Formula: see text] orbital as the ground state. The electron transfer reactions of the complexes have been investigated by cyclic voltammetry.

Synthesis, structural investigations and corrosion inhibition studies on Mn(ii), Co(ii), Ni(ii), Cu(ii) and Zn(ii) complexes with 2-amino-benzoic acid (phenyl-pyridin-2-yl-methylene)-hydrazide

Metal complexes of 2-amino-benzoic acid (phenyl-pyridin-2-yl-methylene)-hydrazide are synthesized and the structures are determined by X-ray crystallography. These compounds show appreciable corrosion inhibition efficiency for mild steel in 1 M HCl.
