Abstract
Heterogenized metalloporphyrin catalysts for oxidation reactions are extensively explored to improve chemical production. In this work, manganese meso-tetraarylporphyrins were immobilized on hydrated mesoporous titanium dioxide (SBET = 705 m2 g−1) through carboxylate or phosphonate anchoring groups separated from the macrocycle by the 2-arylimidazole linker fused across one of the pyrrolic rings of the macrocycle. The element composition of two mesoporous hybrid materials thus obtained were investigated and the integrity of the immobilized complexes was shown by different physicochemical methods. Finally, the catalytic efficiency of the more stable material Mn(TMPIP)/TiO2 with the phosphonate anchor was evaluated in the selective oxidation of sulfides to sulfoxides by molecular oxygen in the presence of isobutyraldehyde (IBA). The heterogenized complex has shown excellent catalytic activity exhibiting a turnover (TON) of ~1100 in a single catalytic run of the sulfoxidation of thioanisole. The catalyst was successfully reused in seven consecutive catalytic cycles.

Abstract
The stability, repeatability and sensitivity of an electrochemical biosensor material are closely connected with the dispersibility of metal organic frameworks (MOFs) in aqueous media. Herein, a nanocomposite based on Cu-MOF/hemin, which is not only highly water-soluble but also simple and efficient in synthesis, was used for the construction of a non-enzymatic sensor to detect hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The Cu-MOF/hemin was characterized via scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)-mapping, X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA), which indicate that hemin and the Cu-MOF were successfully combined. As a H2O2 electrochemical biomimetic enzyme, the Cu-MOF/hemin exhibited excellent electrocatalytic performance, which was confirmed by the electrochemical experiments and chromogenic reactions, and the possible mechanism of the reactions has been deduced. The electrochemical sensor based on the biomimetic enzyme exhibited an extended linear detection range from 0.01-5.0 mM (R = 0.998), low detection limit of 4.14 μM, and high selectivity and stability under the optimized conditions. More importantly, the practical application ability of the sensor was verified by the test of H2O2 in human serum samples and it could be used for the real-time detection of H2O2 released from living cells with satisfactory results. Therefore, this novel nanocomposite has certain potential in preparing electrochemical sensing platforms for nonenzymatic biosensing and provides a new method for clinical diagnosis and real-time monitoring.

Abstract
Recently, as a new sub-family of porous coordination polymers (PCPs), porphyrinic-MOFs (Porph-MOFs) with biomimetic features have been developed using porphyrin macrocycles as ligands and/or pillared linkers. The control over the coordination of the porphyrin ligand and its derivatives however remains a challenge for engineering new tunable Porph-MOF frameworks by self-assembly methods. The key challenges exist in the following respects: (i) collapse of the large open pores of Porph-MOFs during synthesis, (ii) deactivation of unsaturated metal-sites (UMCs) by axial coordination, and (iii) the tendency of both coordinated moieties (at peripheral meso- and beta-carbon sites) and the N4-pyridine core to coordinate with metal cations. In this respect, this review covers the advances in the design of Porph-MOFs relative to their counterpart covalent organic frameworks (Porph-COFs). The potential utility of custom-designed porphyrin/metalloporphyrins ligands is highlighted. Synthesis strategies of Porph-MOFs are also illustrated with modular design of hybrid guest@host composites (either Porph@MOFs or guest@Porph-MOFs) with exceptional topologies and stability. This review summarizes the synergistic benefits of coordinated porphyrin ligands and functional guest molecules in Porph-MOF composites for enhanced catalytic performance in various redox applications. This review shed lights on the engineering of new tunable hetero-metals open active sites within (metallo)porphyrin-MOFs as out-of-the-box platforms for enhanced catalytic processes in chemical and biological media.

Abstract
AbstractEncapsulated metalloporphyrins have been widely studied for their use as efficient heterogeneous catalysts, inspired by the known catalytic activity of porphyrins in haemoproteins. The oxidation of organic substrates by haemoproteins is one of the well-known roles of these proteins, in which the haem (ferriprotoporphyrin IX = FePPIX) cofactor is the centre of reactivity. While these porphyrins are highly efficient catalysts in the protein environment, once removed, they quickly lose their reactivity. It is for this reason that they have garnered much interest in the field of heterogeneous catalysis of oxidation reactions. This review details current research in the field, focusing on the application of encapsulated haem, and other synthetic metalloporphyrins, applied to oxidation reactions.

Abstract
Novel catalytic materials are highly demanded to perform a variety of catalytic organic reactions. MOFs combine the benefits of heterogeneous catalysis like easy post reaction separation, catalyst reusability, high stability and homogeneous catalysis such as high efficiency, selectivity, controllability and mild reaction conditions. The possible organization of active centers like metallic nodes, organic linkers, and their chemical synthetic functionalization on the nanoscale shows potential to build up MOFs particularly modified for catalytic challenges. In this review, we have summarized the recent research progress in heterogeneous catalysis by MOFs and their catalytic behavior in various organic reactions, highlighting the key features of MOFs as catalysts based on the active sites in the framework. Examples of their post functionalization, inclusion of active guest species and metal nanoparticles have been discussed. Finally, the use of MOFs as catalysts for asymmetric heterogeneous catalysis and stability of MOFs has been presented as separate sections.

Abstract
A highly porous metal-organic framework (Cu-TDPAT), constructed from a paddle-wheel type dinuclear copper cluster and 2,4,6-tris(3,5-dicarboxylphenylamino)-1,3,5-triazine (H₆TDPAT), has been tested in Ullmann and Goldberg type C-N coupling reactions of a wide range of primary and secondary amines with halobenzenes, affording the corresponding N-arylation compounds in moderate to excellent yields. The Cu-TDPAT catalyst could be easily separated from the reaction mixtures by simple filtration, and could be reused at least five times without any significant degradation in catalytic activity.
