Abstract
Mesoporous yolk-shell nanocomposites (MYSNs) were loaded with a mobile CaMg core inside the silica shell. CaMg@MYS nanocomposites have been effectively prepared inside the inner cavity of a novel structure that consists of hollow mesoporous silica spheres. Tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) and an amount of cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB) are coated on the carbon spheres used as a hard template in the multi-step synthetic procedure. In this method, the target products were obtained in high to excellent yields between 87-96% and quick response times between 10-20 minutes under mild conditions. The CaMg@MYS catalyst shows promise as an efficient and reusable catalyst in multicomponent processes. The CaMg@MYS multi-yolk spheres compared to metal oxide nanostructures indicated both high catalytic performance and a significant factor as a novelty. To identify each product, FT-IR, 1H NMR, and melting point techniques were applied. Also, in order to characterize the prepared catalysts, FT-IR, XRD, FE-SEM, EDS, elemental mapping, and HR-TEM techniques were applied.

Abstract
Green, eco-benign, and sustainable synthesis is paramount in present chemistry. Here, a facile, efficient, and [H2-DABCO][HSO4]2 ionic-liquid-catalyzed one-pot multicomponent synthesis of hexahydroquinolines was reported under ambient reaction conditions. The reaction of 1,3-dicarbonyls, malononitrile, and ammonium acetate with various aldehydes in the presence of an ionic liquid catalyst and EtOH solvent at room temperature afforded excellent yields (76-100%) of hexahydroquinolines under a short reaction time (5-15 min). Mild reaction conditions, broad substrate scope (28 derivatives), and column-chromatography-free synthesis with excellent catalytic efficiency and good recyclability rendered this protocol superior and practical. The greenness of the present method was assessed through eco-score and E-factor. The significant results in gram-scale synthetic conditions validate its applicability in industries as well as academia in the near future.

Abstract
Since 2019, the infection of SARS-CoV-2 has been spreading worldwide and caused potentially lethal health problems. In view of this, the present study explores the most commodious and environmentally benign synthetic protocol for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran and pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidinones as SARS-CoV-2 inhibitors via three-component cycloaddition of aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile, and dimedone/barbituric acid in water. Lemon peel from juice factory waste, namely, lemon (Citrus limon), sweet lemon (C. limetta), and Kaffir lime or Citron (C. hystrix), effectually utilized to obtain WELPSA, WESLPSA, and WEKLPSA, respectively, for the synthesis of title compounds. The catalyst was characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDX). The concentration of sodium, potassium, calcium, and magnesium in the catalyst (WELPSA) was determined using atomic absorption spectrometry (AAS). The current approach manifests numerous notable advantages that include ease of preparation, handling and benignity of the catalyst, low cost, green reaction conditions, facile workup, excellent yields (93%-97%) with extreme purity, and recyclability of the catalyst. Compounds were docked on the crystal structure of SARS-CoV-2 (PDB: 6M3M). The consensus score obtained in the range 2.47-4.63 suggests that docking study was optimistic indicating the summary of all forces of interaction between ligands and the protein.

Abstract
BACKGROUND The nano-sized particles enhance the exposed surface area of the active part of the catalyst, thereby increasing the contact between precursors and catalyst considerably. In this study, nano-SiO2/1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-en was synthesized, characterized and used as a heterogeneous nanocatalyst for the synthesis of tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyran derivatives. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy, Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscopy, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller plot, Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy and Thermo Gravimetric Analysis were used to discern nano-SiO2/1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-en. RESULTS Tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyrans were synthesized by using nano-SiO2/1,5-diazabicyclo[4.3.0]non-5-en via one-pot three-component condensation of malononitrile, aldehydes and dimedone in H2O/EtOH at 60 °C. The results indicate that tetrahydrobenzo[b]pyrans were synthesized in good to high yields and short reaction times. CONCLUSIONS The fundamental privileges of this method are short reaction time, plain procedure, recyclability of catalyst and high yields of products.

Abstract
An efficient synthesis of 4-arylidene-3-alkylisoxazole-5(4H)-ones has been implemented
via the three-component cyclocondensation of aryl(heteroaryl)aldehydes with hydroxylamine
hydrochloride and β-ketoesters. The potassium 2,5-dioxoimidazolidin-1-ide has
been introduced as the new organocatalyst to facilitate this heterocyclization. In the current
process, three starting materials, including substituted benzaldehydes/heterocyclic aromatic
aldehydes, hydroxylamine hydrochloride, and ethyl acetoacetate/propyl acetoacetate/butyryl
acetoacetate have been successfully used to synthesize the number of substituted isoxazole-
5(4H)-ones in good to high yields in ethylene glycol as a green reaction medium at 80 ºC. The
low catalyst loading is also a main advantage over some reported catalysts.

Abstract
In this work, we describe the application of a synthetic enzyme (synzyme) as the catalyst to promote the multicomponent synthesis of isoxazol-5(4H)-one derivatives. The catalytic system could be used up to 15 times without any notable loss of its activity. Some derivatives showed fluorescence and their photophysical data were evaluated. The mechanism of the reaction was, for the first time, investigated and, among the three reaction pathway possibilities, only one was operating under the developed conditions. ESI-MS(/MS) allowed for both the simultaneous monitoring of the multicomponent reaction (MCR) and the proposition of a kinetic model to explain the transformation. The kinetic model pointed firmly to only one reaction pathway and helped to discard the other two possibilities. The antimicrobial abilities of all synthesized derivatives against Gram-positive and Gram-negative strains were also evaluated. The abilities of functional chromophores (fluorescent compounds) as live cell-imaging probes were verified and one of the multicomponent adducts could stain early endosomes selectively in bioimaging experiments.

Abstract
A one-pot three-component reaction promoted by choline chloride: zinc(II) chloride deepeutectic
solvent (ChCl-ZnCl2 DES) in an aqueous medium for the synthesis of several merocyanin
dyes based on isoxazol-5(4H)-ones is presented. This three-component approach is efficient, clean,
experimentally simple, convenient, safe, and environmentally friendly. This reaction was performed at
room temperature without using energy sources such as heat, microwave and ultrasound waves. Nonuse
of toxic solvents, available materials, one-vessel, no wasted reagents, simple preparation, and recyclability
of DES are other important points of this method that is significant from the perspective of
green chemistry.

Abstract
Cobalt tetra-2,3-pyridiniumporphyrazinato with sulfonic acid tag [Co(TPPASO3H)]Cl was produced and catalyzed the synthesis of ortho-aminocarbonitriles, cyclohexa-1,3-dienamines and 2-amino-3-cyanopyridines. The synthesis of 2-amino-3-cyanopyridines by using [Co(TPPASO3H)]Cl proceeded via a cooperative vinylogous anomeric based oxidation mechanism. [Co(TPPASO3H)]Cl can be recycled and reused six times with a marginal decreasing of its catalytic activity.

Abstract
OBJECTIVE A facile and efficient method for synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones via Biginelli reaction catalyzed by a novel dicationic Brönsted acidic ionic liquid, [(EtNH2)2SO][HSO4]2, has been successfully developed. MATERIALS AND METHODS 3, 4-Dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones were synthesized through one-pot condensation of aromatic aldehydes, ethyl acetoacetate, and urea under solvent-free conditions using [(EtNH2)2SO][HSO4]2 as a novel catalyst. The progress of the reaction was monitored by thin-layer chromatography (ethyl acetate / n-hexane = 1 / 5). The products have been characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR, and also by their melting points. RESULTS In this research, a library of dihydropyrimidinone derivatives was synthesized via Biginelli reaction under solvent-free conditions at 120oC using [(EtNH2)2SO][HSO4]2 as a catalyst. Various aromatic aldehydes, as well as heteroaromatic aldehydes, were employed, affording good to high yields of the corresponding products and illustrating the substrate generality of the present method. In addition, the prepared dicationic Brönsted acidic ionic liquid can be easily recovered and reused. CONCLUSION 1, 1'-Sulfinyldiethylammonium bis (hydrogen sulfate), as a novel dicationic ionic liquid, can act as a highly efficient catalyst for the synthesis of 3, 4-dihydropyrimidin-2(1H)-ones under solvent-free conditions.

Abstract
Herein, a novel DABCO-based dicationic ionic liquid (bis-DIL) was easily prepared from the sonication of DABCO with 1,3-dichloro-2-propanol and then characterized by several techniques. Thereafter, under the ultimate green conditions, the performance of the bis-DIL was examined for the sono-synthesis of a new library of bis-2-amino-5-arylidenethiazol-4-ones via one-pot pseudo-five-component Knoevenagel condensation reaction of appropriate dialdehydes, rhodanine and amines. This protocol is tolerant towards several mono- and dialdehydes, excellently high yielding and affording access to the desired products in a single step within a short reaction time. Compared with the conventional methodologies, the proposed method displayed several remarkable merits such as milder reaction conditions without any side product, green solvent media, recording well in a variety of green metrics and applicability in gram-scale production. The recyclability of the bis-DIL was also investigated with an average recovered yield of 97% for six sequential cycles without any significant loss of the activity.

Abstract
Background:
4-Arylmethylideneisoxazol-5(4H)-ones are a class of organic compounds
with a variety of applications in the agriculture, filter dyes, photonic devices, and pharmaceutical industries.
They are also used as synthetic precursors for the synthesis of other organic compounds. As
a result, efforts are being made to search new and available catalyst and green methods toward their
synthesis.
Objective:
The aim of this work is to investigate the catalytic activity of salicylic acid as an inexpensive,
easy to handle, and safe catalyst to synthesis of some derivatives of isoxazole-5(4H)-ones in
water medium.
Methods:
To aqueous solution of equal amounts of aryl/heteroaryl aldehydes, β-ketoesters, and hydroxylamine
hydrochloride; salicylic acid (15 mol%) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred
at room temperature for a specified periods. The precipitated product was filtered and washed with
water to obtain 3-substituted-4-arylmethylideneisoxazol-5(4H)-ones. The reaction conditions were
also optimized and extended to synthesis other isoxazol-5(4H)-ones.
Results:
The salicylic acid is found to possess acceptable catalytic activity for the promotion of
three-component cyclocondensation of aryl/heteroaryl aldehydes, β-ketoesters, and hydroxylamine
hydrochloride. The three-component reaction led to construction of 3-substituted-4-arylmethylideneisoxazol-
5(4H)-ones in good to high isolated reaction yields.
Conclusion:
The efficient and environmental friendliness procedure for the synthesis of isoxazol-
5(4H)-ones is introduced. The reaction also carried out smoothly in water as a cost-effective, simple,
green, and non-toxic solvent at room temperature without using heating, microwave, and ultrasound
sources.

Abstract
Abstract In this study, new quaternary bis(ammonium) salts with alkyl-1,X-bis(dimethyldecylammonium) cation and saccharinate, acesulfamate, lactate and pyroglutamate anions were synthesized and characterized by 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Thermal gravimetric and differential scanning calorimetry analyses confirmed that all salts were thermally stable and the majority of them exhibited melting points below 100 °C. The physicochemical properties (viscosity, density, refractive index values, and solubility) of the obtained salts were determined for three compounds with lactate anions. All the tested salts have suitable properties which, in practical application, will reduce the losses caused by the most important storage insects. Most of the synthesized ionic liquids had comparable or better deterrent activity than azadirachtin—an alkaloid known as the most active antifeedant. Graphical abstract ![]()
