Abstract
We have reported synthesis and characterization of (E)-2-nitro-4-[(phenylimino)methyl]phenol by using X-ray crystallographic method, FT-IR and UV-vis spectroscopies and density functional theory (DFT). Optimized geometry and vibrational frequencies of the title compound in the ground state have been computed by using B3LYP with the 6-311G+(d,p) basis set. HOMO-LUMO energy gap, Non-linear optical properties and NBO analysis of the compound are performed at B3LYP/6-311G+(d,p) level. Additionally, as remarkable properties, antioxidant activity of the title compound (CMPD) has been determined by using different antioxidant test methods i.e. ferric reducing antioxidant power (FRAP), hydrogen peroxide scavenging (HPSA), free radical scavenging (FRSA) and ferrous ion chelating activities (FICA). When compared with standards (BHA, BHT, and α-tocopherol), we have concluded that CPMD has effective FRAP, HPSA, FRSA and FICA.

Abstract
An organic nonlinear optical material 2,3-Dimethyl-N-[4-(Nitro) benzylidene] aniline was synthesized by condensation reaction. The single crystals were grown by the slow evaporation technique at room temperature using ethyl acetate as solvent with large in size and having transparent nature. The unit cell parameters were determined and belong to a noncentrosymmetric orthorhombic crystal structure by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The crystalline nature of the synthesized material was recorded by the powder X-ray diffraction pattern. The molecular structure of the grown material was investigated by proton and carbon nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectrum analysis. Functional groups were identified by the vibration spectrum analysis. The optical absorbance of the grown crystal was ascertained by Ultraviolet-Visible spectrum. Thermal behaviour and stability of the grown material was investigated by thermo gravimetric/differential thermal analysis. The nonlinear optic conversion efficiency was determined by powder technique and found to be 4.08 times greater that of KDP as a standard reference.

Abstract
In this study, we present the synthesis and the characterization of Copper (II) chloride complex with 3-amino-1-methylbenzene (3A1MB). This complex was characterized by vibrational and EPR spectroscopic techniques and elemental analysis. The molecular structure and spectrometry of this complex: Cu(3A1MB)2Cl2 and its ligand: 3A1MB have been investigated theoretically by performing DFT/B3LYP calculations. Cu(3A1MB)2Cl2 has been optimized as two conformers and the more stable conformer is determined. The optimized geometries and calculated vibrational frequencies have been evaluated via comparison with experimental values, and the normal modes were assigned on the basis of the percent potential energy distribution (PED). A good agreement between calculated and experimental data is observed.

Abstract
One of the Schiff base 4-bromo-4'dimethylamino benzylideneaniline (BDMABA) compounds was synthesized and single crystal of the material was grown by solvent evaporation method at room temperature. Molecular structure of BDMABA was confirmed by (1)H nuclear magnetic resonance and the presence of functional groups was confirmed by Fourier Transform Infrared and Fourier Transform Raman spectral analyses. Cell parameters were determined using single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis and crystalline perfection of the grown BDMABA crystal was evaluated using high-resolution X-ray diffraction analysis. Thermal analyses indicated that the material is thermally stable up to 215 °C and its melting point is 161.5 °C. Vickers microhardness study was carried out to estimate the mechanical hardness of BDMABA crystal which shows that the crystal belongs to the class of soft materials. Linear and nonlinear optical studies were carried out using UV-vis-NIR spectrum and open aperture Z-scan technique respectively.

Abstract
Single crystal of an organic material, 4-chloro-4'bromobenzylidene aniline (CBBA), was synthesized and grown by slow evaporation method at room temperature. (1)H and (13)C NMR spectra were recorded to elucidate the molecular structure and functional groups of CBBA were identified using FTIR and FT Raman spectral analyses. The lattice parameters were calculated from single crystal X-ray diffraction data. Single and reasonably sharp peak observed in the high resolution X-ray diffraction curve indicates that the quality of the crystal is good. Thermal properties of CBBA were carried out using thermogravimetric, differential thermal and differential scanning calorimetric analyses and the melting point of the CBBA material is ~123 °C. The dielectric properties of CBBA crystal was studied as the function of frequency (100 Hz-500 kHz). The optical properties were ascertained by recording UV-vis-NIR and fluorescence spectrum. Further the mechanical properties were studied using Vickers microhardness test.
