Supramolecular Ag(I) coordination polymer directed by argentophilic interactions: Synthesis, crystal structure, luminescent and catalytic properties

Diantimony Complexes [CpR 2 Mo2 (CO)4 (μ,η2 -Sb2 )] (CpR =C5 H5 , C5 H4 t Bu) as Unexpected Ligands Stabilizing Silver(I)n (n=1-4) Monomers, Dimers and Chains

Synthesis and reactivity of transition metal compounds bearing "naked" pnictogen atoms is an active research area with remarkable bonding patterns observed in the formed compounds. Within this field, intense investigations on the coordination behavior of complexes possessing P_n and As_n (2≤n≤5) moieties have been conducted. However, studies on heavier analogues have been ignored so far due to arduous challenges related to low yields and moderate air stability. Herein, we present the first in-depth study addressing the reactivity of organometallic complexes containing Sb-donor atoms with several Ag^I salts. These reactions afforded twelve unprecedented aggregates as monomers, dimers as well as three- and four-membered chains of Ag^I ions claimed in the literature to be inaccessible. Interatomic distances as well as computational evidence obtained with help of several different methods suggest the presence of Ag⋅⋅⋅Ag interactions in all complexes containing more than one Ag^I ion.

Two New Zn(II)/Cd(II) Complexes: Luminescent Properties and Treatment Activity on Cardiovascular Disease

Two new supramolecular frameworks, namely [Zn(HBTC)(H₂O)₂]_n·n(MA) (1) and {[Cd(OBDC)₂(MA)(H₂O)Cl](HMA)₃(H₂O)₁₀(DMA)}_n (2) (H₃BTC = 1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid, H₂OBDC = phthalic acid, MA = melamine, DMA = N,N'-dimethylacetamide), have been solvothermally prepared. In addition, the solid-state luminescent properties of 1-2 at room temperature was discussed in this article as well. Their application values on the cardiovascular disease treatment were explored and we also discussed the corresponding mechanism simultaneously. Firstly, the IL-6 and IL-18 released into the plasma was measured with indicated ELISA assay. Besides, the real time RT-PCR was also performed, while activation levels of AMPK signaling pathway was determined after compound treatment.
